All of our stuff was loaded and unloaded fast and safely. They gave me a friendly hard time about moving boxes myself "that's what you hired us for!". Would highly recommend.

 + -1 moreMike Todisco arrived as planned late afternoon, Friday May 3. The late hour was not a problem because two teams, in separate vans came to perform the packing and stowing. With four men working, the job was completed quickly and utilized one van. The split delivery, on May 5, between West Melbourne and Cocoa Beach went smoothly. We're still unpacking and all items are in excellent condition. We had three separate contracts in the space of five weeks and Mike T, Mike L, Mike, Dan, Gino, Clifford and Patty are a few of the folks we can remember who helped with our moves.
Description of Work: By this time we had two positive experiences with Todisco moving. We used Mike Todisco to clear out existing furniture in a newly purchased condo in March. Then in late April we moved furniture from our vacation home in Georgia to our refurbished condo. Then we contracted with Mike Todisco to move our furniture from our primary home in St. Petersburg to Cocoa Beach with a secondary stop in West Melbourne. That is three separate contracts within a couple of months.

 + 0 moreTo us this is a daunting task however for Mike Todisco it proved to be a typical work day for him and his team. They traveled from their home base in Melbourne, made a stop in North Carolina and arrived in our north Georgia town Wednesday night, April 25th. Thursday was a long day but they stayed with the job of packing, marking and stowing all items big and small. Moving our piano needed some special care and the team showed their experience in preparing and moving this heavy instrument. We wondered how all of our items would fit into the van, but every box and blanketed furniture found a place to nest for the long ride to Cocoa Beach (and a second stop in West Melbourne). On Saturday the items for West Melbourne were unloaded and then the majority of boxes and furniture were unloaded in Cocoa Beach on Tuesday April 30. We are still unpacking boxes but everything is in excellent condition.
Description of Work: Our first experience with Todisco Moving, in early March, was very positive and we gained confidence in their ability to do the job. They moved furniture from our newly purchased Florida condo to family members. That was a small job. Now we had a big move from our 2600 sqft vacation home in the mountains of Georgia to the shoreline of Florida.

 + -1 moreAfter scheduling the movers only a few days prior to the date I needed them, 3 men arrived on time at my house ready to work. We did a quick walk through & they began loading up. They seemed to be in tune to actually reading when boxes were marked "FRAGILE" whereas movers I've used in the past did not, for the most part. They were very careful to wrap the furniture to protect it from damage or dirt & they protected the door frames as well. I never heard a complaint about the heat (which was in the 80s that day), about how much stuff I had or a negative word about anything otherwise. That within itself was a refreshing change from past experiences. All 3 men were good, efficient workers & the price they quoted is what they charged. I bought their lunch & tipped them all and felt it was well deserved. I would definitely recommend them to friends and/or family & will use them again should the need arise.
Description of Work: I hired AAA MIKE TODISCO'S MOVING & STORAGE INC. to move my family from one 4 bedroom home to another 4 bedroom home just 10 mins away. We are a family of 6 & have a lot of stuff so it was definitely a full day of work. We were packed and only needed their moving services - no packing or storing.

 + -1 moreWhen we decided to move furniture from our condo we researched Angie's list. A call to Mike Todisco Moving and talking to Patty removed all of our anxiety of hiring a moving company. She understood our concerns, assessed our needs, and arranged for a date on very short notice. Then Patty called the day before to assure us they were ready to meet our needs. Thanks Patty. On the morning of our move, Clifford and his team of two, arrived promptly at 9 am. Each man introduced himself. Then Clifford scoped our job and quickly set the team into motion. A massive stack of blankets appeared and they covered individual items needing protection. Our front door received a protecting blanket. We watched as the team methodically selected and blanketed item after item for economical storage in the van. Their working pace was constant and they exhibited years of experience in the proper handling of furniture. Large glass mirrors, a huge glass table top and a heavy marble table did not challenge their ability. Everything went into the van and everything came out without a glimmer of damage - thanks to Clifford and his team. This was our first experience with Mike Todisco Moving and Storage, but if we need another move, we know who to call. Patty will take care of you at 321-622-6923.

They were punctual, professional and took extreme care in wrapping and taking care of my furnitue. And to be super careful with walls around tight corners. The other thing...they are fast! Watch out and stay out of their way...these guys are machines. Wonderful company. Finally someone who's doing it right and has great customer service.

 + -1 moreTim and Dan arrived on time and were very professional. Though they estimated it would take avg 2-4 hrs, it actually took about 7 hrs to complete. Amazing how much stuff you have until time to move. Company provided wardrobe boxes for hanging clothing, I just didn't request enough of them. They took the time to wrap furniture to prevent scratches. I would definitely hire this company again.
Description of Work: Moved from 2 bedroom apt to 3 bedroom house less than 15 mins away. Furniture was wrapped in blankets and provided boxes for hanging clothing. Every item was delivered without damage.

 + -1 moreThese guys were great. I had closed on my house a few days before and had to leave for work a few days after the move, so my schedule was very tight. The office personnel I spoke with on the phone, both in scheduling and confirming the appointment were absolutely wonderful. They professionally explained policies, costs, etc. thoroughly and put me at ease. Clearly, they are used to dealing with stressed movers! Packing of the house took much longer than I'd hoped so when the guys arrived (on time) I told them to just move the furniture and whatever was already boxed up. They offered to help pack the rest of the of the house for the same hourly rate and just charged me for packing tape and the extra hours. They had forgotten to bring the wardrobe boxes for my clothes but had a back up solution of stacking my hanging clothes, hangers and all, between moving pads. It worked quite well, but I did take my formal attire in my own car, just in case. Instead of 4-5 hours, they were on the job all day, stopping only briefly to eat pizza I ordered, and to catch their breathe after moving my seriously heavy, cumbersome bedroom suite. They had good attitudes the whole way through and worked really hard. I have unpacked only half of the boxes so far and have only found one broken item - a glass decorative vase they placed in a box unwrapped/unprotected on top of an iron candelabra. The vase is of no sentimental or financial significance , so it is an insignificant loss I am not in the least bit concerned with. I could not have made the move without them and would definitely hire this company again.
Description of Work: Moved one story 2 BR / 2 BA to a one story 3 BR / 2 BA. Only scheduled to move but my packing was behind schedule so they helped pack.

 + -1 moreThey were supposed to arrive at 9am on Monday, but didn't show up until closer to 9:30am. We called around 9:15am to make sure they weren't lost. A heads up call would have been appreciated. Once they arrived, they got right to work. We were in the apartment only 6 months while we waited for our house to be built. Since it was temporary, we didn't fully unpack when we first arrived in the apartment. We essentially had a lot of pre-packed boxes and bulky furniture we had them move. Nothing was damaged and they were extremely professional. I would not hesitate to hire them again if I needed to move...though hopefully this is our last moved for many years to come!

Don'ts Don't expect the workers are well trained. Don't let them rush you in your decision making. Don't accept a different price at the last minute.
Description of Work: Buyer Beware! This moving company performed an adequate job of packing and loading. They loaded 2 kerosine lamps in the bottom of a clothing wardrobe. After a month in storage the clothing was filled with the smell and needed cleaning. It was formal clothing that was fouled. What I received for compensation was $47.40 for the clothing, a floor lamp and a glass shelf. The comment from the company representative was that I had only agreed to the customary 60 cents per pound insurance. Then in a phone conversation she stated that they would go to $150.00 which was half of the cost to me. When I received the check it was only for $47.40 not $150.00 I was also told that the employee responsible for the negligence was warned and will be watched. That really helps me to pay for his mistake. Had I been informed at the move that the insurance only paid pennies for my goods, I would have taken out extra. I allowed myself to trust this company with all of our household goods worth thousands of dollars. The price originally quoted was not the price I had to pay after everything was packed and loaded. Original quote was $4100.00 and after it was loaded they wanted $5381.00 plus $1025.00 to deliver a month later. I used AAA Mike Todisco as a way to save money. They are local to the Melbourne, FL area. We moved from the Atlanta, Ga area. I got AAA Mike Todisco while He was in the Atlanta area for a backhaul to save him from coming back empty. I had a price from another company that he beat by $1000.00 in the original offer. His comment on the difference in the original quote and the final price was that the other company had missed items and he had to do more work. They knew I was over a barrel and took full advantage of the sittuation. We had to leave that day or I would have refused to pay the higher price. I asked for the price difference before they started and was told it would be worked out. What sounded like a good deal really cost us in the end. Thanks to AAA Mike Todisco and his crew. They will not stand behind their work. This was not an accident. It was employee neglegence. The company should pay for their mistake and not the insurance. This is called pass the buck. That is why I say Buyer Beware of this mover.

 + -1 moreFirst let me say I was very satisfied with the move overall, however they were an hour and a half late getting here. The lady on the phone told me they would be here at 10 but they did not get here until 11:30. Once they got here, they were very professional and wrapped everything in blankets and shrink wrap. They also put a blanket wrap around the doorway so there would not be any dings going in and out. We had them move only the large pieces of furniture from our 3 bedroom home. They did not pack or move any boxes or rugs, etc. When we got to the new house, I showed them where everything went and I did not have to tell them again. They put everything in its place very nicely with no damage. I would recommend this company.

We had a long, complex moving process because of the nature of our home working environment, and Mike and his team were about as helpful as possible. They made the move as pleasant as such a thing could be. Without a doubt, we recommend Mike and his team. You could not find a better, more careful, more flexible, more reasonably priced, kinder team of movers for a local move.

The day before the move, Patty called to confirm the appointment and ask if I needed them to bring any packing items with them, freely offering the use of wardrobe boxes. The day of the move, Clifford, Mike and Jim (?) arrived about 20 minutes before the scheduled time and were very friendly and professional. They walked through the house and then got to work. The move in included connecting a washer and dryer. They were fast, thorough and very communicative. Arriving at the new house they did a walk through and then once again got to work. Again, they were very fast, thorough and communicative. From start to finish, the move took four hours. A few things that really made an impact with me were: I had not finished packing, yet they worked around this and even offered to put together some boxes for me. They were quite a cohesive team and worked really well together. This helped make the process move along very quickly. They provide free use of wardrobe boxes the day of the move. I absolutely recommend Mike Todisco's and would use them again in a heartbeat.

 + -1 moreThe entire experience was amazing. The office staff worked hard to adapt to specific requests, scheduling extra men, and dealing with our last minute requests for changes. The moving crew arrived as scheduled, packed an entire 2400 sq ft house, loaded two truck, delivered my household goods to the new address, unloaded, set up beds, unwrapped furniture, and unpace wardrobe boxes. Being an Army family, we have had many stressful moves, but this was the most professional, stress free move we have ever had - and no damages! Some of the high points: they laid down floor covers to protect my new white carpets, they found jewelry that I had forgotten - and turned it in to me, they protected my most prized possessions, and were professional and upbeagt throughout this 12 hour workday. One week later, they came back out to pick up boxes and packing materals. I would recommend this company to anyone!
Description of Work: This company was hired to move a 2400 sq ft home containing valuable antiques, electronics, and appliances. Two days before the move, I realize that I also needed them to pack for me. They happily made the adjustment and showed up with four men and two trucks. They packed, wrapped, boxed and loaded all of our household goods, including some very valuable antiques. This was loaded onto two trucks, driven to the new home, and unloaded.
