Requested a quote for roofing. they came by and measured. Came in high for my budget. So I asked to see if we did GC work in house with their company if it could bring down the costs. The roofing estimator came by to look at the projects at hand. Never measured anything that I wanted to do so not sure how that was going to work in the estimating process. Waiting 3 1/2 weeks for the GC work estimate. Received multiple excuses that the estimator that handles that GC work was out and upon his return was swamped. But that I would have it last week. That did not happen. Today when I called to ask if it was ready, I gave him the option of sending me the quote or sadly they would be eliminated from the list of GCs and roofing companies that I was looking at. The roofing estimator basically said "ok go ahead and eliminate us". I called to speak to the person in charge of CG work and explained to him how unprofessional I thought that the other individual was, and he was making a decision to walk away from business to a potential new client, he said he would get back to me within 10 mins. Nothing as of yet. Im guessing if it takes 3 weeks of excuses to just get an estimate it may take 3 weeks for them to show up to do a job. Not a very good first impression. On that sour note, I do not recommend them. It was a bad first and last experience.

Overall we were very happy with Sunshine and in particular Serge Cave, who was our primary contact with the company. We were a little nervous at first because the quote we received was substantially lower than the estimates we had gotten from a couple of other reputable roofers. But the job turned out well and there were no surprises regarding price or timing along the way. There were, however, a few instances where corrective work was needed. For example, the workers started to install a galvanized drip edge when we had ordered aluminum. In each instance, Serge was very responsive and he and the company did what was needed to set things right. Based on my experience, I'd recommend Sunshine for a residential roof replacement with the caveat that Serge be the primary company representative on the project. He was patient and responsive throughout the process, not just when he was bidding on the job. In addition, he had a good eye for aesthetics, which was very helpful when design issues came up along the way. I'd also suggest that the homeowner monitor the work closely and regularly, so that if there are any issues that come up they can be addressed right away - of course, that's probably good advice on any home improvement project.
