Upon removing the sink cabinets, Lou broke a floor tile of which they do not make anymore. He said he was not responsible. It could have been avoided if he was more careful. I only had one spare floor tile which I had to contract out to a tile refinisher. That was $350 extra that I did not expect. The next day after installation I noticed bubbles under the laminate on one of the cabinets. I called Lou and he said he will be out in the next few days. Days came and went. I called Lou again one week later and again he said he will be out to fix the problem. Never happened. Called one last time, one month later and got the same response. "I will be out to fix it very soon". Still never happened and that was about a year ago. I've waited this long to write the report because I was still trusting that he would be a man of his word. NOT! The $3800 job cost me $4300 with the broken tile and I had another contractor fix the bubbled laminate at a cost of $150. Just another contractor that does not stand behind his work.

This was our second experience with S & B. 20 years ago they did the same thing in our previous home. We were so pleased with that outcome, that S&B immediately came to mind when we decided to embark on this remodel. We did get other bids, but went with S&B because the price was good and we knew the quality of work. Lou was extremely professional and helpful in designing the new kitchen. The cabinets are simply beautiful, and have many custom features. Because of Lou's efficiency, we were without a functioning kitchen for about two weeks, and most of that was was waiting for the granite. His staff was friendly and polite. They were also very conscientious about cleanup, and making very little mess. We highly recommend this company.
