Montgomery's Quality Painting

i must say i was a little surprised when the owner , Mr Montgomery turned up to paint our house alone, i needn't have worried as his work is excellent with great attention to detail , it took a little longer than i have seen other painting firms take but i see this as a plus , more time spent making sure that all the details that , if i were doing the job myself, were taken care of , after completion i had a look around the house and couldn't find fault with anything so i am very pleased with the quality of Mr Montgomery's work and would not hesitate to recommend him to any one looking for a top quality paint job

Once again, James Montgomery did a very professional job. He presssure washed the fence, did some repair work , primed and painted .My fence looks brand new and will last for a good while. James is a very clean and detailed painter. This is the fourth time I have used his company and he never dissapoints. I have recommended him to several other families and they were just as pleased . The name of his company says it all...Quality Painting.

James has done work for me for many years. He did an amazing detailed job on the exterior of my wood frame/ stucco house, which required allot of prep work. He painted the interior of my house, every room over the years. James made himself available on short notice while my daughter was out of town, so I could surprise her with some drywall repairs that were desperately needed as well as colorful paint in my grandaughter's bathroom. You could not tell the hole in the drywall was ever there after he finished, and the paint job was perfect. He even helped me remove a broken mirror from the back of a door and repaired the holes in it. James arrives on time ,does great work, cleans up after the job perfectly, and is professional in every sense of the word.

It was excellent! He's professional, prompt, efficient and very courteous.The prices were more than fair. We had some very bad drywall issues and there are a lot of cracks and he fixed that so well and it looks excellent, he's the best painter we ever had in this house for 20 years.

He was at my place for 14 hours ( per him). He painted ceilings and did a good job on that. However, the two bathrooms in our place apparently had been wallpapered and then painted over. He quoted me a price for painting and then $40 hr more for wallpaper removal and sanding trim and doors because he wouldn’t know how long that might take. He called me on his second day wanting a check for $1200 telling me that he had spent 7 hrs that day removing wallpaper. My calculation is 7 hours x$40 is $280. Today I find out from another contractor that he did not remove the wallpaper but just primed over it. Unfortunately I am out of state so was unable to see what he had done. I paid him a lot of money for a dishonest job!

Jim was fantastic and had excellent attention to detail. We have screws for the hurricane shutters on all the downstairs windows and 2 sliding glass doors. Jim did not get paint on any of them which had to be a time consuming process, but we’ll definitely appreciate his hard work in the event of a storm this summer. He took a bit over a week to paint our 2 story house and his efforts really show the results. We’re planning to hire him again to paint some of our interior rooms in a few months time!

James is always professional and very meticulous with his work . We had used him before and will continue using him for any paint jobs .

James is professional, polite, very neat. I will hire him again and advise anybody who needs painting done to try him. He painted the outside of my house a few years ago and it still looks great. I highly recommend him.

Great, as usual. I have used Jim for approx 22 years to paint and pressure clean. He has always been reliable, very pleasant, extremely neat and conscienious.

Jim did a superb job of gently cleaning our house exterior, adding life to the paint job that is now almost 10 years old. He seal coated our old asphalt driveway. It now looks like something our car can be proud to be parked on! Jim is licensed and insured, and that is extremely important to us. Mr. Montgomery runs an honest and fair business, and we always feel assured that his job will be excellent, neat & clean, and done to perfection.

He gets back to you right away. The price was good and fair. The job was well done. They are such a professional workers, very knowledgeable in providing the service, very neat and clean up after themselves.

Mr. Montgomery came by, inspected the exterior of the house and gave us an estimate. After interviewing two other painters, we decided to hire him for the job. He showed up on time as promised and completed the work as promised. Most importantly, Mr. Montgomery does the work himself, does not employ subcontractors, is very detailed oriented, applied samples of the paint on the wall and made sure we liked the colors we had selected and applied the paint with ROLLERS (not sprayed). The paint he selected was quality paint from Sherwin Williams and the new paint looks absolutely beautiful and has made our house look great. Our neighbors have noticed the new look of our house and are inquiring about hiring him for their painting. Mr. Montgomery is a man of high integrity, very polite and takes a lot of pride in his work. We are extremely happy that we selected him for the job and would highly recommend him to everyone.

Jim's quality of work is always top notch. He always arrived when he said he'd be at our home, was very professional and extremely very neat. Jim sealed cracks, stucco patched and primed outside as needed to prepare for the paint. We have received compliments on how nice the paint looks both inside/outside. Shortly after Jim finished the inside, we decided to get new window treatments. Jim removed all the blinds from the windows, patched and repainted. The paint on the outside was all by hand and not sprayed which gives it a beautiful look. You may pay a cheaper price for spraying the outside but the quality is definitely not the same. We highly recommend Jim for all your painting needs. He'll be back in a few weeks to pressure wash and seal the brick paver driveway, walkway and pool area. I'll follow up with another review for that job.

Jim did an excellent job in getting the house prepared, which was a lot of work. He was very meticulous in his work to ensure that the quality was top notch. He also did a great job with the painting and we really love how the house turned out. We have been getting so many compliments on the paint job from neighbors and family. I would highly recommend Montgomery for any painting or pressure cleaning projects!

Fabulous! Jim Montgomery is a gentlemen and true professional. He showed up on time daily, the quality of the workmanship was excellent and his communication with me was topnotch. It does not get any better than this! Will rehire for future home projects.

He is such a gentleman, very professional, honest and I can trust him in my home while I'm out. He is very neat, meticulous and does an excellent job. I will highly recommend him, have used him for interior, exterior painting and pressure washing. I will absolutely continue to use his services.

Jim did an excellent job. He was very thorough and did not rush. Jim was very accommodating; he obtained paint samples for us, made a few hole repairs, and moved furniture without charging extra fees. He ensured the work was being done to my satisfaction constantly. Jim happily made changes as my wife and I asked. I have found my painter for all future work as I know I will receive great quality work at a fair price.

I wanted to find a real old-fashioned professional painter who would leave me with a warm, inviting, great-looking home that I would always be happy to come home to, and I found him. Jim did an excellent job of painting every square inch of the interior of my home. I believe he is a total professional completely dedicated to leaving his customers happy and satisfied. He always took the extra step to ensure that the end result would be just what I wanted. He removed old jacks and wiring and panels from sundry old cable and alarm installations, patching all the holes and making them disappear completely. He identified issues that had to be adressed due to actions that had been taken by earlier contractors, and took care of them all. He applied a scratch coat over the old tired-looking textured paint in the bathrooms and made them SW Icelandic Blue, along with the bedrooms. Looks terrific! There was a section of wall in the Florida Room that was damaged and peeling and looked terrible due to a poor repair job following a roof leak some years ago. -- Jim left it looking as though the problem had never existed. Jim suggested trying an off-white in the garage, so we went with SW Softer Tan, so glad I did. Before, my house was old, tired, dingy and uninviting; now it is warm, vibrant , pleasing and appealing. JIm really came through for me, I am so happy with my "new" house!
