Description of Work: Moore is very unresponsive. Neighbors will not use them.

Description of Work: We had damage after Irma. They did their review of the house and called me days later and quoted me a price. I said I did not know what all the worked comprised and could I have a detailed bid? Besides, I had to have one for insurance. They said they were not setup for that and did I want hire them or not. I said, no, not until I know what you are doing. I was told that's the deal. I said only when I know what you are doing. I was told I would get something in the mail within a week....that was over a month ago. Lots of conclusions you reach about all this, but it did not feel right to us. We are locals, and this is a local business. It seems they've got all the business they want and weren't eager for ours. It all seems unprofessional.

Description of Work: Taking advantage of people in a catastrophe is disgraceful! Moore roofing installed my roof 4 years ago. I had leaks where they didn't do a joint properly but I never complained and just took care of the problem. The roof held up well during Hurricane Irma. Only lost 6 tiles. So I called them for a repair after the storm. They told me it is a minimum charge of $800 for 10 tiles then $65 per tile after that with a $500 non refundable cash deposit up front... Thieves! I am not going to held hostage by a roofing company. Especially since I only lost 6 tiles and I have the tiles on hand to replace them. They have lost my business forever now. Really poor business practices and really disgraceful treatment of their patrons.

Description of Work: In May, 2013, I got a referral from Tiger Construction to use Moore Roofing for my roof repair. (A few years back,I had a different roofer do some work, with no problems, so I thought I would give Moore Roofing a chance because they had recently come to the area and Tiger recommended them.) I had noticed them doing a lot of jobs for total roof replacement, but not repairs. The sales manager came and made a recommendation and provided a written estimate, but in June, when the worker arrived to perform the job, he had not been given any work orders. I had to show him my estimate so he would know what to work on. (I took pictures of the work he did on the roof) His supervisor came the next day to put the tiles on the roof over the repair and never said a word about the work. I was also supposed to have gutters installed on 2 sides of the roof. The gutters were not up yet and the office manager called looking for the balance on the payment. I reminded her that the job was not finished yet, as the gutters had not been installed. After the gutters were installed I waited to see if the roof stopped leaking and noticed that there was something odd about the way the gutters were laying against the roof. I payed the balance because Moore roofing said the supervisor came and inspected the job (but I did not see him do that). I had to go out of town for a few weeks and when I returned, the roof showed it was leaking in the same spot. I tried many times to get Moore roofing to return, as they guarantee their work. They did not come out again until December,and then worked on the same spot, and then it was leaking even more and the repair job was unsightly, and they charged me an additional $675. I knew that they were not supposed to charge for coming back and working on the same problem (work that was on warantee) so I met with the owner, Tom Moore and explained all of the issues I had and that I would not consider paying the $675 on work that is under warantee or that still resulted in a leaky roof. His response was that he would not "pursue" the $675, but he would give me a credit toward a total roof replacement! After that I had 3 different roofers as well as a building inspector, come and examine the work they did. All of the roofers, as well as the building inspector, identified that not only were the repairs done incorrectly, but the gutters had been put on incorrectly as well. I hired an attorney to contact Moore Roofing to demand a refund. The response from Moore roofing was an unsigned, written denial of the entire thing.
