they are excellent, been using the service for tears now. keeping they card means they are good!

I called and left a voice message (during normal business hours) that I'd like to get a estimate for a new garage door. NEVER heard back.

A waste of time........I will not use Angies list again.

It didn't go anywhere, they never responded...so if they don't respond, how can they do a good job?

John with Island Garage Door’s came out and provided an estimate for a replacement garage door. He called a couple days later with a new sales pitch indicating that the one I ordered wasn’t available and there would be a long wait. He said he could get a different one but it would be a little bit more expensive. Four weeks later when his team arrived, the two guys that worked on the door weren’t very professional and were being cool and telling stories about being arrested and locked up in the past. They seemed to be outdoing each other’s arrest stories. One was clearly high on drugs with bloodshot eyes and seemed to be dazed. They complained about how John was supposed to provide plans so they knew how to mount certain pieces. I came into the garage to check on them once and they were lounging around saying they couldn’t do anything without the plans. When I tried to contact John direct he would not call me back. After a couple hours they said they got a call from another guy in the office that told them what to do. They told me that they needed to use a 2x6 board I had in my garage to be able to finish the job. The board was for something else I was working on. But they said that if I didn’t let them use it they would have to go to fort Myers to get one and they would have to leave right now without the job being done. After they were seemingly done they left and the door wouldn’t close all the way. I noticed that ALL of my aluminum hurricane panel track mounts that I stored on a shelf above the garage were gone. I remembered asking the guys about recycling the old door and they were excited to be able to turn it in for a little extra money for themselves. I guess my aluminum tracks helped them get more recycling money. I called for days and was contacted by another guy that told stories about how John was busy out of town. He had another guy call me back that was one of the most arrogant guys I’ve ever met. He came to my house a few days later and told me not to complain and that the door had to rest for a few weeks before it would work right. It was getting stuck on the way up too while he was here. I showed him missing screws from where brackets looked like they needed to be screwed in. He said he would bring more screws by some other day but that I would have to text him until he confirms that he’s free. Just keep texting he said. He told me I could easily add the screws and that Ace Hardware would help me pick out the screws. He mentioned how his visits would be chargeable for his time. I’ve contacted the county about his licensing and plan to file a small claims matter. John you’re going to keep doing this until it catches up to you. We are very nice people so I guess you saw us as easy targets to send your worst crew and disappear with our money and leave a broken door while stealing our hurricane tracks. Now we have to hire a reputable company to fix the door and another company to make new tracks that fit out shutters.

Very well. This was my second time using the service. They came out on the same day called. Had to replace the belt and springs. We also requested a new remote keypad. The tech didn't charge the service call and gave us the Angie's member discount. He even replaced the light bulb in the motor. Very happy with the work and professional attitude of the tech. Would definitely use again if needed.

Nice guy, knowledgeable, solid work. Prices high, some suggestion to add on costs for service that didn't seem need doing. Compared to Florida garage door work we had done -- definitely expensive.

The service man was late. My garage door was coming off track so I wanted to get it checked. He told me I needed 12 longer rollers which I could purchase from him for $200 plus labor plus the service call. I explained I already paid for the service call for the tune up. So he adjusted the estimate to the rollers and labor for that ( over $200). I declined. He said he had it tuned up though and I should be good and shouldn't have problems. 4 weeks ago my garage door started coming off track again. I purchased longer rollers on Amazon for $70 but before I could attempt to change them out, the whole garage door came down while I was under it. My back Jeep tire stopped it. I called Keith's garage doors. He was there in 40 minutes and advised that the garage door should have been adjusted to minimize gaps on each side which wasnt done. He was literally there 20 minutes and the door was adjusted. I felt scammed by the service man trying to sell me something I didnt need from Island Doors. I had heard good things otherwise about this company. Top bad.

It went fine. Eric (sp?) actually showed up a little early, which was fine with us. He explained everything he was going to do. He was truly professional.

No one ever came. Nothing was ever done - not even a phone call. I paid for this and never got anything, So don't ever expect me to use your worthless service or ever call Angies list again. I got absolutely nothing

It went well. The first visit the technician didn’t have the right size seal. It was ordered and he returned for installation.

I have used them prior to the Hurricane for repairs, Was very pleased. I called to have my garage damaged garage door replaced after Hurricane Irma. Very professional & punctual. Would highly recommend!

Island Garage Door was amazing, everyone from the person answering the phones to the sales technician, Doug are beyond helpful. I purchased the $39 tune up, when Doug inspected my door (he arrived on time and even gave me a call when he was on his way) he recommended I replace my rollers and springs. We agreed and could not have been happier with his knowledge on the door. I would definitely hire this company again and recommend them. Thank you!
