We initially called Windswept to clean the a/c coil. Adam advised us the coil could not be removed and instead wire brush cleaned it the unit inside which saved us hundreds of dollars. Then we discovered the a/c ductwork was not property connected and condensation had flooded the duct work. The duct work had to be totally replaced. It took several visits to make the repair. Jake showed up and time and worked with a smile. A delight during a stressful time dealing with mold and no duct work. Bonnie also ordered the refrigerator part and Jake replaced it while he was here. I highly recommend them!
Description of Work: A/C coil cleaning, duct work replacement, refrigerator freezer seal replaced.

Description of Work: This company is located in Marathon, Fl, 35 miles from me. After being stuffed by the local guy, I called Windswept. They responded within 24 hours..came when promised, the technician was neat, polite, fixed my problem and the cost was very reasonable. I would highly recommend them.

The sales process was great, however, the delivery and installation was a nightmare! They damaged the range and it took ~ 3+ weeks to get it repaired. The delivery and installation people appeared to be unqualified and from their attitude appeared not to care. We watched as they unloaded the very expensive appliances off of the truck and they were very rough. They could not figure out how to level the refrigerator doors and did not level the refrigerator or the range.
Description of Work: Sold us a Refrigerator and a Range including delivery and installation.

Description of Work: Our Wall AC which was still under manufacturers warranty needed a new compressor and coil. Windswept ordered these parts and told me 10 business days, which is truly 2 weeks real time. 10 business days came and went, parts were not in, was told wasn't sure when, then told another 3-4 business days. The person I spoke with Sherri, was beyond rude, to both me and my husband. During one call she hung up on me, saying that "she warned me" that she would do so if i didn't stop demanding answers about the parts she said she ordered. After 3 full weeks of no AC, Sherri told me that she could not get any information about the whereabouts of the parts and that I would have to call the manufacturer to ask about parts. I did so, was given the correct information and then had to relay this back to Sherri, at windswept, but was told that as the company ordering and repairing the AC Sherri would be able to get this information. Sherri, just couldn't be bothered. After another follow up with the manufacturer, I was told that the compressor was shipped but they were waiting on the coil. Was then told they could "temporarily " fix our AC, which they did by putting in the new compressor and charging it with freon, telling us, they just recived the part in the day before (Sunday?). I, for a fact, know this part was received almost 2 weeks prior, and was told they needed both parts to fully fix our AC (obviously not). Still waiting on the coil, which according to the manufacturer, should have been to them by the 22nd of April, meaning the part should arrive to Winswept by the 29th. I guess I will only know if I call and speak to Sherri find out for myself. As all this was going on I did ask to speak to her superior, which, surprise, she was. After my last phone call to them asked repeatedly if she has ever heard of anyone being without AC for more then a few days, no answer from her, then asked if she had any recommendations since she should maybe try to be the consumer advocate, she told me to either wait it out or simply buy a brand new AC. Hmmmmm, thanks Sherri, thanks so very much, you will never do business with me or anyone I know in this small town we live in.

One owner Joel is one of the nastiest, grumpiest people I've ever met in a service industry. The guy actually argues and screams with the customer. Even his workers dislike him-- and he's so very charming on the radio station Biz-Baz free morning advertising. What a blow hard croc this guy is! Installed units and forgot to install a critical component, then said he didn't know about it. Units installed incorrectly. Workers scheduled and calls telling us they'd come another day. Expensive. A/c system does not work evenly and does not even cool 110 sf room in all areas. Was told the units were silent-- they are loud! Asked repeadetly for sound barrier, got nothing. And did I mention the owner Joel needs a mental time out? What a horror story. DO NOT USE WINDSWEPT!
Description of Work: Installed central a/c units.

Nice people but expensive service. Also not sure why they would sell stuff that breaks down easily and charge so much for warranty labor. Especially for a regular customer. There is more competition now and other types/brands of appliances that we don't feel stuck having to use Windswept.
Description of Work: We've had many mini-split AC's put in and the labor cost for warranty repair work is more than what it would cost to buy a portable or window AC unit. Also bought a GE dryer and the knobs broke after about a year.
