 + -1 moreKarol (Carl) the owner, quickly pulled an electrician off a nearby worksite and had him here within 30 minutes. After hearing my story over the phone, Karol knew exactly what was going on. It took the young man about 5 hours -- sounds like a lot, but in these conch houses you have to crawl underneath the house to do this...a very hot and crummy job. Good news, is that everything was fixed, and I feel the price was very fair -- plus Check Electric gets high marks for realizing what an emergency this was, I had no idea until I saw the singed line!
Description of Work: Replaced an electrical line from the outside box near front of house to back of house which feeds the hot water heater. It had arc and had breaks in 4 places, and almost caused a fire. The tip off was the lack of hot water; the line was not delivering enough electricity....i was very lucky that this was diagnosed quickly.

Description of Work: Please note - The billing went directly to my landlord and I do not know the cost yet. Four outlets were replaced 2 exterior GFCIs w/new covers. 1 interior GFCI w/cover, and one duplex. A perplexing repair as there was power at the panel, but no power at the outlet sites. He found a junction box in the attic - one line had no power, and one line did... What bothered me, was that without researching what or where the dead line went to, or what or where the hot line went to - he connected the dead line to the hot line and got power to the dead receptacles. The person that answered the phone didn't speak English very well. I had to call twice, and text my contact info because he didn't understand my english(?). However on the good side - the we're at my house the same day that I called requesting service, and arrived at the time specified.
