Nikki carburetors have a very strong record of not being repairable. I recommended that you purchase a carburetor as a customer service. I did not indicate that the parts that you initially requested were not available. I said that they were not available individually. In addition, special orders are not refundable anywhere. That?s why they are special. The carburetor came in promptly. I am satisfied that I followed your directions at the time of the purchase and provided you with excellent customer service. Thank you for shopping at Spivey Mower." This was a lie because these parts were available individually. They were briggs and stratton part numbers 696136 and 695426. He still won't take the part back and insisted that he didn't do anything wrong. Well he did, he lied to me and I believed him. Because of that, he was able to sell me the whole carburetor which costs $102.00 instead of just spending $22.00 on the above parts. I bought the parts individually at Grass Mowers, better service better price.
Description of Work: Provider lied to me to make a huge sale and sold me a part that I didn't need, gave me wrong information on purpose to make a huge sale on a carburetor when I am asking just parts which cost $22.00. he lied by stating that the parts were not available individually when in fact they are. I believed him and I had to agree on buying the whole carburetor. he didn't tell me he ordered online. when I paid him with a check, I asked,"Where is the part", that was the only time he told me he ordered it online and would not be available till tomorrow. I asked if he can cancel the order and return my check back but he told me that it was not returnable.

This is the second time I brought a mower to Spivey for repair. The first time they completed the repair but I later learned that they didn't replace a gasket that caused dirt to get into the motor. The second time I brought it to them after damaging the governor, they estimated a two week and $65 repair bill. After a month the mower was not repaired and so I picked it up. I subsequently took it to another shop who repaired it while I waited and pointed out the missing gasket, which also explained the gas odors in our garage. I wouldn't recommend Spivey to anyone. The later repair cost $40.
Description of Work: I brought a mower in to be repaired. They estmated 2 weeks and it wasn't complete after a month. So no repairs were made
