you to ?please call your husband? before you placed your order. You did
not. I asked you again at the counter if you were sure before I placed
the order and you told me to go ahead. I stand by my recommendation.
Nikki carburetors have a very strong record of not being repairable. I
recommended that you purchase a carburetor as a customer service. I
did not indicate that the parts that you initially requested were not
available. I said that they were not available individually. In
addition, special orders are not refundable anywhere. That?s why they
are special. The carburetor came in promptly. I am satisfied that I
followed your directions at the time of the purchase and provided you
with excellent customer service. Thank you for shopping at Spivey Mower."
This was a lie because these parts were available individually. They were briggs and stratton part numbers 696136 and 695426.
He still won't take the part back and insisted that he didn't do anything wrong. Well he did, he lied to me and I believed him. Because of that, he was able to sell me the whole carburetor which costs $102.00 instead of just spending $22.00 on the above parts. I bought the parts individually at Grass Mowers, better service better price.

This is the second time I brought a mower to Spivey for repair.  The first time they completed the repair but I later learned that they didn't replace a gasket that caused dirt to get into the motor.  The second time I brought it to them after damaging the governor, they estimated a two week and $65 repair bill.  After a month the mower was not repaired and so I picked it up.  I subsequently took it to another shop who repaired it while I waited and pointed out the missing gasket, which also explained the gas odors in our garage.  I wouldn't recommend Spivey to anyone.  The later repair cost $40.
