There was were many odd jobs that needed to be done around my mother's house and he was excellent in getting them done. He was there a little late but he did call and let us know and was very professional. He even helped us get the right tools and equipment we needed for the home. And with us all being women with no idea about tools and necessary items it was a big help. In the six hours he was at my mom's house he put in three ceiling fans with lights, recaulked my mom's shower, removed and installed a new kitchen faucet re-aligned the front door, and fixed my mom's garage for free. He also put up with a numerous amount of questions. He was excellent. We have already used him again and everytime he is great. He is a little more expensive then others but he does such a great job and is so professional it is worth it. Highy reccommend him.show

It was an excellent experience. I spoke with Jeff, the owner, and we set up a time for one of his handyman to come out to my home.He asked what services I needed to perform in advance. He told me that my handyman would show up at 8:30 on the day I chose.Marc Lawn, my handyman, showed up promptly at 8:30. He was extremely professional. We went over the services I would berequiring and he told me the time it would take for him to complete the services. He estimated the time to be approximately 4 hours and he finished with 10 minutes to spare. He asked if there was anything else I needed taken care of since we had some time left. However, he had accomplished everything that I had on my list. I was charged the exact amount of the estimate. I couldn't have been more pleased with my services and experience with My Handy Craftsman. I would highly recommend their services to anyone looking fora handy man service. I will definitely be using My Handy Craftsman again in the future.

I called them to inquire if they could reseat a toilet with a new wax seal as we could smell gas coming from the bottom of the toilet. Person who answered the phone was very courteous and assured me that they could handle the job. The person who actually fixed the toilet was very professional and cleaned up when he was done.

He was on and off the phone the whole time, he physically left my house and picked up lunch and medicine from his wife during the time I was being charged. He didn't get some of the tasks done that I asked him to do. I called the company about this, and he said it didn't matter to them that he was on the phone and left, that they would get the job done. He worked for a total of 3 hours, and ended up leaving without even getting the job done. I was suppose to be charged $59 for 2 hours from a Big Deal that Angie's List was offering, but I ended up getting charged $165.00 total; I was charged $106 for the extra time he was here, which may have not even ended up being a full hour. They also advertised that the extra time would be an extra 10% off for each hour after 2 hours. The handyman told me to pay him with a check, instead of purchasing the Big Deal through Angie's List. I called the company to set up a time for them to come finish the work and the first time they gave me didn't work for me, they said they would call be back to set up a different time and I have not heard from them since.

I contacted service provider the evening of July 26th. Today is the 1st of August and my husband and I have yet to hear from this contractor. Whether they want the job or not or it isnt within the scope of services they provide, the courtesy of a response would have been appreciated. I will not be contacting them again. the company took 4 days to return our call.. the gentleman that called was very polite. they dont do estimates. when i asked about that, he told me that the service i was paying for was 60$ an hour for the carpentry only. if i needed them to go get the materials they were going to charge me for the time doing that. which means that if i needed them to come up with the list, then they would spend an hour or so doing that too. long story short we are looking for a more full service company that will come out and do a estimate complete with parts and materials list. it doesnt seem like My Handy Craftsmen is one that does that. after we waited 4 days for a call back we were kind of put off, so we had given an F review. i am changing it here c because he did finally call back. there were no other services provided though, so we cannot really remark on quality of craftsmenship.

I spoke to Jeff Hale on the phone about installing a bathroom fan for me. We scheduled an appointment for 7/20 at 8:30am. Around 12:00pm no one had shown up so I called him. He said he would look into it. He called me back to tell me that his guy was home sick. He apologized for the inconvenience and we rescheduled for 7/24 at 9am. He called me at 10:10am to say that he made a mistake and there was a scheduling mix up and he was terribly sorry but no one could come out that day. So we rescheduled for 7/26 at 1:30pm. He called me at 2pm to let me know that his guy was stuck on another job and could we reschedule for another day. I used up my last 3 vacation days trying to schedule an appointment with these guys. Not only do they not show up, but they don’t call you until after the appointment to tell you they’re not coming. He will sincerely apologize every time he doesn’t show up, but that doesn’t help get my fan installed. I’m just going to have to install the fan myself.

After a series of rain storms, we discovered moisture was seeping into our front door and warping the door and the surrounding wood floor. I called Jeff and described the problem (and several other smaller problems we were having) and he scheduled an appointment to come out and inspect and offer a quote. A handyman showed up on time and quickly diagnosed the issues and proposed solutions and provided an estimate as to how long it would take to fix. The handyman stayed well after dark to finish all the tasks that same day. He was thorough, made sure everything was working properly and very friendly and polite. I would use these guys again.

Overall, he worked steadily for the whole day moving from one project to the next.

I called the company to get an estimate to do work. He did not approve the 10% senior discount and said that they do not give discount. He also said my job was too small and to call around. "If we come out to any house to give an estimate we are going to do the work." That's what he told me.

He showed up on time, did all the fans and asked if I had any other work that I needed done. Very good work and a great expereince.

Mark arrived promptly at my home and went over what I needed done. He began work immediately, choosing to do the work inside the home before performing the work outside so he wouldn't track in any yard debris. Mark was very nice and professional and explained what he would need to do to accomplish my list. I am extremely satisfied with the quality of his work and would recommend him to anyone that needs a handyman.

I needed a bunch of little jobs completed in my new condo and My Handy Craftsman handled all the jobs in a quick, professional manner. He was very polite and competent and knew exactly how long it would take to finish the projects, and he completed them all perfectly and on time. I would highly recommend them for your household handyman needs!

We called for an estimate to have our fiberglass-shell shower removed and a new tub installed. Mr. Hale sent Chris out and he gave us a written estimate for the job. My husband and I decided to hire this business to perform the task after interviewing other companies and getting other estimates. Our decision was based upon Chris telling us that the walls in our bathroom did not need to be removed to have the tub put in (as another company told us). So we scheduled Chris to come out to start the job on a Wednesday but he was unable to show up until Friday because he had gotten behind on his current job because of the weather (this is why I am giving this business a "B" rating). However, Mr. Hale kept in contact with my husband and I about the delay. Once Chris did come, he went right to work and kept on task. He was scheduled to have the job finished in two days. On Saturday, I was working and my husband had a previously scheduled meeting so he asked Chris to come at a later time that day. So Chris took that delay to finish the job that he was behind on. Chris was at our house on Saturday at the time that was agreed upon. During the time that Chris was tearing out the old shower and re-working the plumbing to accommodate the bathtub, he worked toward setting up the tile guy for his portion of the job. Chris is such a conscientious worker and I will request him again for our next job. I would recommend Mr. Handy Craftsman to anybody. We did not hire them for our tile because we already have somebody that we trust, but based upon Chris' work ethic, I would hire him for any job he said he is able to perform.

This was our first experience using a handyman and this experience turned out to be one of the best experiences we have had with any other contracted services. Jeff returned our phone call in a timely manner. The handyman called the day prior to verify the time and address and was actually arrived early for the appointment - a big plus. Melvin was very professional and courteous.After examining the work to be done he found it to be more involved than we thought and gave us an approximate time for completion. This time was longer than we had expected and he told us he would get it done as quickly as he could. He worked tirelessly all day in the hot sun ( that side of the house has little shade) removing all the wiring connected to the siding and removing the water damaged wood. He even continued to work in the rain to cover up the exposed insulation to keep any further damage from occurring. Because of the storm , he had to come back on Saturday morning and again he was early arriving. He completed all the work beautifully and his craftsmanship was exemplary. In the end the time he had originally quoted was close to the time it took to finish the work. His work ethic and attention to detail was impressive. I would not hesitate to use this company again and would recommend them to anyone.

Chris as prompt, professional, and creative! He proposed an innovative solution to a unique handy project. He came up with the best and most effective solution, and he performed various tasks around the house. Ask for Chris!

Chris was on-time - punctuality is big in my book! He came in, I explained what needed to be done, and prioritized my "to do" list. He went to work on the patio shades first. One of the shades that I purchased was 6 inches smaller than it should have been. Once he explained the situation to me, Chris was able to manipulate the shades so that I got the maximum coverage that I wanted, utilizing the shades that I had purchsed. Once the shades were installed, he went about putting up the under cabinet light and hanging my pictures. He was great! I would use him again in a heartbeat.

Chris arrived on time and got started right away. He didn't waste time - moved quickly and did an excellent job. I would definitely use them again.

The office staff scheduled the work for me quickly. The person who did the work arrived on time and handled everything quickly and appropriately. I do intend to use them more in the future when I need more or larger work done.

Everything was done perfectly with no mess. They even noticed my soffits were falling and fixed both sided of the house.

Chris removed the door and cut the corners off the front of it. He then replaced necessary 2x4s to reinforce the opening. Finally, he plastered the new opening. The kitchen was left as clean as if was when he entered. He even used a wet sponge to make sure no fine particles were being left behind. I will repaint the surface tomorrow because the plaster needed a day to completely dry. Chris would have been willing to return to paint it but I can do that myself. I discovered that I wasn't capable to plaster the walls near the pantry so I called Chris back. Chris returned to match the plaster on the wall surrounding the pantry. He was still very efficient and professional. I will definitely use him for future handyman issues.

It has gone great. They were on time and very nice. They have done a great job so far. I have been impressed with them. They are very professional. I plan on using them in the future.

Waste of money and time!!! I was extremely dissappointed with the service and lack of follow up by this company. I joined Angie's list with hopes of trusting the reviews and a one stop shop due to recently purchasing a home with lots of work wanting done. I am willing and have paid for ceiling fans, lights, etc to be installed and jobs completed around the house and don't expect a hand out, however, you purchase a deal to get a "deal" with hopes of having extra for other items, expecting quality work!! I called the owner shortly after the handyman leaving. He was very polite and said their were two sides to each story and that he wanted some time to speak to the handyman and would call me back....its been over a month with NO return call!!!!
