Although I didn't end up using them because a provider I am well acquainted with had a cancellation and could get me in quickly, I was thoroughly impressed with this organization. Jeff quoted me their very straightforward rates on the phone but the scope of the remodel (bathroom and adjacent laundry room) was one we decided would be best to quote as a project. Mike called to confirm the day of the estimate visit and arrived right on time. He was extremely professional and thorough in his evaluation. This is not the kind of person you'd typically associate with 'handymen'. Courteous, educated, thoughtful, and precise. He offered important considerations in the project, and pointed out small details we hadn't thought of. I applaud Jeff and Mike and believe this company has come up with one of the fairest and most unambiguous ways of providing these types of services both for them and for homeowners. I will definitely call on them for my next project of any size.

I checked Angie's list for siding installers. The first I called was busy for three weeks. I then called My Handy Craftsman and they had a worker at the house at 7:30 the next morning to give an estimate. They like to start immediately if the estimate is approved. They only charge $60 per hour which is generally less than other carpenters. I accepted immediately. I went with them to the hardware store and I purchased all materials. The estimate was right on without having to go buy more hardboards. They transported back to the work site. I was told that if they finished in less time, the amount would be deducted. If it took longer, they would absorb the cost. One worker worked for three days, even during the rain. He kept at it steady and only took one break for lunch each day. There were a lot of measurements and cutting because of the way the house was built. I think it took longer than the estimated time because of a few problems they ran in to but I was charged only the estimate price at the end. He seemed to know what he was doing and took time to be precise with the cuts. When it was all finished, he caulked all seams and wiped down the board. When he left, the yard was a clean as it was when he first arrived. He was pleasant, professional, and friendly. I approve of the work they did. I don't like to hire work done but this was too much for me and I would recommend this company to anyone.

Worker showed up on time, and after visually seeing the areas to be worked on, left for Home Depot to purchase the items needed (new weather-treated post for the porch and a kick plate for garage utility door. Was not charged for the time it took for the worker to go to Home Depot and back, and only paid for the cost of materials with a small discount (10% I believe). The replacement of the porch support post went very smoothly. I had a concrete drill bit that actually worked better on the metal foot base for the new support post and was happy to loan it to the Worker to use (the drill bits he had were either too large or too small). The new kick plate was added to the utility door off the garage, but I really thought that the door would have been taken off its hinges in order to check the bottom, underneath portion of the door for water damage and perhaps some repair performed - but door was not taken off its hinges for any examination. The new metal kick plate will prevent water striking the door and running down it, but any water pooling on the concrete hear the base of the soor could still be absorbed from the bottom, and no inspection or work was done in this area. Again, thought that it would have merited taking a look. Guess time will tell if this approach was the correct and only one. Minor work to the gutter required allegedly some caulking of gaps and adjustment to water flow openings. The only thing that could not be done was the tightening of the loose door handle on one of our french patio doors, but in the end, we may end up changing out french patio door handles anyway to a bruch nickle look rather than brass-like so the fact that other 3 areas were looked at were more important for this current visit. All work was done just under 3 hours, so time and cost of materials ended up being a reasonable charge in our opinion.

Excellent service - easy to set up appointment. Arrived on time - did all the work as promised.

He responded promptly and was very professional, but his quote was so much higher than the other quotes that we received. If their quote was more reasonable, I would’ve gone with this company.

After the grout dried, we noticed that it was cracked in some places. After a call to the company, the handyman, who was very nice and professional, very promptly returned and fixed the problem.

Contacted Jeff at My Handy Craftsman and discussed the details of our project. He clearly explained their areas of expertise, policies and pricing structure and made arrangements for an associate to visit us the next day in order to provide a full work estimate and then do the job. Robert called ahead to introduce himself and let us know he was on the way. He arrived promptly and on time. His job estimate was fair and reasonable and well within our own estimates and budget. Robert was entirely pleasant and professional and the work was finished completely to our satisfaction...a first rate job of carpentry. Leftover materials were collected for storage and Robert left his work area clean and neat. It was so nice to be able to work with a talented and skilled craftsman! We will use this company in the future and request the services of Robert, in particular. We recommend My Handyman Craftsman and Robert without reservation.

He came on time, completed the jobs and cleaned up.

The repairman came on a rainy day.and the work to install some outside lights was done satisfactorily. He also installed a door knob w/lock on a bedroom door. That was done satisfactory as well.

The work turned out well. He was honest, fast, and I would use him again.

Handyman arrives on time, and after showing him the 3 areas to be worked, proceeded to get his tools and supplies. I loaned him a new drill bit I had for concrete work, and he had new tapcons for anchoring the window blinds supports in concrete block as mine were a little worn and he preferred to use fresh tapcons. I assisted slightly in cutting the thrid blind for one of the eindows that was an off size, but he had the tools to make the cut smoothly and efficiently. Didn't mind making a few items available as he had the skill to make it all come off well. Did perform some clean-up after him in each of the areas that he worked, and I would have thought that this might have been a bit more of his responsibility, but that is OK, it all went into the same trash can in the end. I had a garage wet-vac that came in handy with the concrete dust and blind cuttings.

Work done- updated 2 bathroom exhaust fans, changed the light switches to include a timer for the fans & updated 3 bathroom faucets and 1 kitchen faucet. The technician arrived on time, we chatted on the work to be done, and not wanting to waste time he started right away. When a job was completed he started to clean up but I jumped in so he could start the next job. Overall I was very happy with the services and would hire again. Pricing- a little pricey for hourly services but I had pre-bought 2 hours at a discounted rate to help out.

Handyman scheduled to make the repairs called and said they had car problems 1/2 hour prior to scheduled time. Repairs were not made. Another day was graciously offered by the handyman but I had taken the day off and was expecting the repairs to be done that day. I will obtain another business for repairs; this one does not seem too reliable.

The key item I had needed was painting and he was not prepared with the proper equipment to do the job efficiently. According to him it took him three times as long to paint the door because he didn't have the roller he needed. Consequently, my list did not get finished. He indicated that he was not told any specifics by the employer about the types of repairs I would be needing. He did not use the wall texturing spray material properly. He fixed a kitchen drawer that had come loose from the inside cabinet but now the drawer does not shut properly. He didn't know how to make the adjustment. He was very nice and behaved professionally. With the proper tools I think he would have done a more adequate job.

He did a good job. Great job! He was on time. Very nice and professional. He just did his job.

The guy that came out didn't even know what the job was be cause he was given bad information by his boss, so he didn't come prepared. Luckily I had the materials on hand for him to do the project. There were lots of errors I had to point out and there were lots of excuses. Bottom line it was a p*** poor job that I thought I had hired a professional to do because I don't have time. I should have just done it myself. As it was I had to redo some of his work so the door would even shut.

Performed at expected, workman has correct tools and technical knowledge to customize the closet system into the closet.

I bought the $59 for 2 Hours of Handyman Service and 10% Discount on All Labor after the First 2 Hours. I had bought individual PVC panels and all necessary hardware (hinges, post covers to cover existing wooden posts, locks, etc) to be put together, in order to replace three wooden gates that were too old and had stopped serving their purpose. The initial estimate was done by phone and even though I did my best to explain the type of work required, the owner sent an older gentleman who had no idea what needed to be done and expected actual gates to be provided; as a result, nothing got done that day. When I called, I was blamed for the miscommunication. Mr Handyman then brought in a second worker who more or less had the know how, but found it very hard to work by himself, so that it took him almost 2 full days to complete the work. This worker had me go buy an extra panel, which I had to return to Lowe's afterwards, because it wasn't needed. This panel ended up flying off the roof of my car! Had Mr Handyman taken a look at the job in person to start with, he could have rejected the job, giving me the chance to look for someone else, thus avoiding a very frustrating experience for everyone involved.

Service was prompt. The door we needed trimmed down was handled the morning after our call. The day after that, the new door was hung. The service person seemed a bit rushed and the finish quality of the work could have been better. I probably could have pressed for the door to be sanded better and had an additional coat of paint, but I chose not to bring this up at the time.

Everyting went very well. Handyman showed up on time and did all work in a professional and quality manner.

We wanted to remove this unuseable sliding door and replace it by a wall and a window and also fill the landscape area in the swimming pool enclosure. Michael has assessed very accurately what I wanted to do, gave me a very detailed quote in a matter of two days and, after been asked to perform the work, they gave me an appointment for the next week. Work was performed on time, within delays and slightly below price as the cost of materials was a little bit lower that he had expected. I am very satisfied with the experience and I recommend it to you.

The project was done well, slow going though. The man that did the project was very professional.

The craftsman was experienced and did a good shop on all projects. I paid extra for him to return and do extra stuff. My only complaint which I have encountered before, is the promotion for two hours or four hours is not really accurate . You would think that if the job was finished in less than the two hours that extra time could be used for other things but that's not the case. In other words you can't count on the craftsman being around for that full two hours. If he finishes with time remaining you can't ask him to do other things in the time remaining

They took almost 3 hours to return my call. Everything else went well, but I would have preferred if he had stained the new pieces of wood to match what is already there. Also, he should have replaced the furniture in their original place.

Not very good. After the installation of the sink faucet and drain, he had to come back two times. The first was to change the hot/cold functions (they were reversed), and the second to connect the drain stopper. During the install, he noticed that we had the house replumbed in the past and there was a problem with the valves. Somehow, while turning off/on the hot water valve, he did something to it and we now get very little hot water flowing from the sink faucet. He said that it was beyond the scope of their work and we would need to get a plumber to fix this.
