Marc was great, he did excellent work and was extremely professional and personable in his demeanor. Everything looks great and he goes the extra mile to make sure all work is completely properly. The price is a little steep compared to what some of the other people we received quotes from. On the other hand, many of those other people never showed up to actually do the work AND Marc did much better work than the people we hired to do some other tasks at a lower price. In fact, Marc had to fix some mistakes made by the guy who installed our sliding glass door. So in the long run, you get what you pay for and it was mostly worth the extra cost to get everything completed in a timely manner along with the peace of mind that the work was done right.

I couldn't be more pleased with the job Kevin did in my house! He presented himself professionally and courteously and I felt completely comfortable with having him in the house with me and my grandchildren. He even offered to patch a couple other little holes in my drywall, which I took him up on, and he did an equally excellent job on these holes as he had done with the ceiling. The repairs make my home look so much better! I'll definitely engage My Handy Craftsman again, and request Kevin to do my work for me!! I highly recommend this company!!!

He came to fix my Kitchen faucet. He was not qualified to do it and made mess out of the Moen faucet. He was just pulling it apart without any finesse. He broke the faucet parts and since Moen was giving free parts we ordered them. I told him its only fair that once the part comes in he need to come and fix for free. he wanted to charge 2 more hrs of work on this. Totally unprofessional.

This was a very successful service appointment. I was satisfied with all aspects of the job. I called the My Handy Craftsman office number, reached a real person and was set up with an appointment for a few days in the future which was at my earliest convenience. The real person, Jeff Hale, took all the details of my job and set the appointment for 8 AM. I got a call from Kevin at 7 AM on the day of the appointment confirming that he was coming and to let me know how he planned to proceed with my job. Kevin was prompt and got started evaluating what work and materials were required. He approved of the plywood and paint that I already had and left for the store to get the rest of the materials. He demolished the existing rotted soffit, cut and installed the new plywood, primed and painted it. In between the painting he cut and installed the lattice fence and the bathroom grab bar. The lattice fence was add-on work that I requested when Kevin was first evaluating the job and making his material list. He had no problem adding it. The grab bar required some creativity because the studs on that wall were too far apart. Kevin worked continuously all day in very hot weather and through a severe storm. He cleaned up all the work areas and removed all debris. In the end, all the work was just what I wanted, Kevin was personable and professional and I felt that the price was well worth it. I will definitely use this company again.

These folks were very responsive. Michael came out promptly and understood just what we wanted. He gave us a reasonable estimate before he left. Chris came out and did the work very expertly, efficiently and professionally. He also cleaned up completely each of the two days the job took. We are all very happy now that we have showers that are so much more old person friendly. We highly recommend these folks.

I was so impressed with the work and demeanor of Jose! He was very skilled and remedied the problem expertly. He carefully placed a tarp underneath the window so that my carpet and persian rug were well-protected. The job was reasonably priced. He would even have painted the textured areas if I had paint available. I would highly recommend, "My Handy Craftsman" (and especially Jose!) services and would use them again in the future!

Chris was the craftsman assigned to the job, and he professional, thorough & honest. After assessing the work, he thought it would take 3-4 hours. What's great about this company is that they won't charge you more than what they originally quote, even if the job ends up running longer than planned. Chris was here almost 5 hours, and only charged me for the 4 quoted. Even after he had packed up his equipment, he decided he wanted to add further reinforcement to one of the drapery rods for good measure. He takes real integrity in his work. I had planned for him to caulk & paint the t-molding, but he said you really should allow the caulking to dry overnight before painting to avoid cracks. I appreciated his honesty, and just had him do the caulking. He finished in a half day what would probably have taken us all weekend. I will definitely use this service again. I was OK with the price, because they were offering a coupon on Angie's List. But then I forgot to use it! My fault.

Workman could use more experience-did not understand what I needed for the cabinet modification.

I purchased a $59 for two hours of service. I would definitely recommend them. They were good. He was late in the morning. He called ahead and said he was going to be late. It took a little longer than the two hours I bought, but I did not pay anything for it.

I called this provider about a week ago and must have caught him in the middle of a job. He answered my call and I let him know I was a new customer, found his reviews on Angie's List, and that I was interested in discussing trim work, paint and a few repairs in my home. It has been a week and he has yet to return my call to set up any work. For his sake I hope business is good, otherwise he just lost out on an opportunity, as I have now contacted another company for the work to be completed.

Excellent. The technician was Jose Lopez. He was knowledgeable, professional, courteous and pleasant. To save money, he had me find the replacement door while he did the wall and ceiling repair. I got the door at a salvage yard and the hinge grooves were cut the wrong way. Jose tailored the door for hinges going in the opposite direction with no noticeable difference. All of this was done within the time-frame allotted for the job. He finished on-time. He didn't take a break, even when we asked him to. I would definitely use these guys again.

Ken came to the house and when he heard the noise the garbage disposal was making, he told me that it was definitely something stuck in there. He pulled it out in about 10 minutes. (blush! We had felt around and didn't think that's what it was.) Since the minimum charge is for 2 hours, he ended up replacing a trim strip that we had the materials for in the garage. He did a great job and cleaned it up afterwards.

The handyman showed up on time. Due to a misunderstanding on my part, possibly both of us, I did not have a board ready for replacing the facia. The handyman informed me that he does not work on anything above 8 feet because that is roofer territory. The area to be replaced was within his comfort zone. I had to run to the local Lowes and Home Depot to find the other stuff needed such as the personal hygiene faucets (like a hand held bidet) and the boards to replace the facia. I already had the security light. I received a call from him while at the store to also buy some caulking. This is where I started wondering.....aren't these kind of guys supposed to have the commonly used supplies? All the work was done but the issue I had, after checking the work out after he was paid and left, was the "attention to detail" of the work that I was dissatisfied with. I should have done that before he left but he should have paid attention to that detail while installing.. Here are the examples. I had a faucet in the kitchen sink that had poor water flow. He looked at the connections underneath and also took the faucet apart to see if there was something blocking the water flow. He had some difficulty in reassembling the faucet and took about 15 to 20 minutes to get it reassembled. I mentioned not to worry about it because of time and he said that getting it back together would not be charged. A few days later, I purchased another faucet and while seeing if I had the ability to replace this myself, I notice that there was a slow water leak from one of the connection to the old faucet. I cannot believe that it was not noticed the first time or that it just happened. I also do not think that the handyman would have loosened up the connection either. So, it goes back to the "attention to detail" issue. The two personal hygiene faucets were added but the turn on and off valves were not oriented in the same way. I had to do that myself and it was not a hard job at all. Attention to detail The security light was installed but the motion sensor was left oriented to the wall of the house and the lights were aimed also at the house. I expected the installation to be correct. Attention to detail The corner facia was replaced but when I got some paint to finish the job, I noticed that just above it was some rotten facia that could have been easily corrected or replaced. So I had to do that on my own. If I can notice these things, why can't a professional handyman notice it or at least mention that it needs attention. Maybe it was above his height of concern. When finished, the total time was 3 hours and 45 minutes which he rounded up to 4 hours. If anything, I would have expected a quote of 3 hours 30 minutes judging from the difficulty of getting that faucet reassembled. So...I paid that amount and let my review do the complaining.

He was excellent. He was very talented.

He was very polite, punctual, professional. Friendly and appropriate. I did not feel however, that the finishing of the work was very well done, mostly in the caulking. It was a good company, so I'm sure that if I asked they would have come back and done more to fix it, but we didn't. it was good enough.

From the start, Michael Hale of My Handy Craftsman was very transparent. One of the main reasons we decided to go with his proposal & build-out compared to other contractors, was his upfrontness when it came to project costs. So many of the other proposals we received were so vague as to where certain costs lie. Because we were new to this magnitude of a remodel, we were weary of where all money was going. Michael did a great job of explaining to us, "here is what our labor cost is & here is your material cost." We knew exactly what were spending where because we were the ones paying for all the materials..ie...kitchen cabinets, sink, faucet, hardware, lighting, etc. Other contractors were not as transparent as My Handy Craftsman. Knowing that our money was being maximized gave us piece of mind. Upon agreeance of the work, Michael & his crew were nothing short of fantastic. His communication and level of responsiveness were always at a premium. His master craftsman on the project, Chris, was by amazingly knowledgeable and thoughtful when it came to our questions. Aside from his jack-of-all-trades expertise, Chris would go out of his way to explain to us why he was doing something "this way" as opposed to "that way." His helpful tips on plumbing, electric, and painting, will be more than useful going forward when it comes to DIY projects we take on. We must say that our overall experience from proposal, to build out, to completion was lights out! Our kitchen was transformed into the 21st century right before our eyes. The guys at My Handy Craftsman are a honest, thoughtful, and experienced bunch that should be called on for projects both large and small. We are certainly glad we called upon them for our kitchen renovation!

The work could have been better. He was not too fine, but the work was ok. I did not like his attitude.

This is the second time we have contracted with Jeff Hale and My Handy Craftsman and we are well and truly pleased. Chris arrived on time and was fully prepared to go to work on our new entry door. After he did some initial measuring, we discovered that some alteration of the entry- way and existing tilework would need to be done in order to properly fit the new door. Chris had the skills and know- how to make these alterations, and the job went smoothly. Chris was pleasant, extremely competent, professional and left his work area clean and neat upon completion of the job. Fees for labor and materials were fair and reasonable. We'll definitely be using this company's services in the future!

That guy was awesome. He was extremely professional and was able to work quickly. He knew what he was doing. I would use him again in a heartbeat.

Excellent service, excellent work and since there was time left over he started looking around for things he could help with...and found some! He sealed my shower and fixed the drywall where the water from the shower had leaked and bubbled the drywall and he repaired some siding that was slipping at the front of my house. I really appreciated his punctuality, efficiency and professionalism. I would use them again. Actually I am accruing a whole list of chores for next time!

I did not like that it was an hourly rate. I feel that the work probably could have been done in an hour and 15 minutes but I had bought the two hours.

Work proved to be much more difficult than expected do to solid concrete walls. My handy craftsman did not give up and was able to complete the work with lots of obstacles on time.

Mark arrived as scheduled and was great to work with.

Perfect! Hard working man who worked quickly. Worked longer than the estimate delivered before I OKed the job and did not charge more than the estimate even though he took longer on the job than he estimated. He was very careful and did a quality job. This is the second time I used this company. Very happy camper.
