For starters, Michael showed up an hour late. That's ok, I understand schedules get behind so no big deal. He was sent the entire list of all the work that needed to be done last week. So he shows up and immediately says "That's too big of a job" referring to retexturing my ceilings. He then declines tiling all the floors, so I take him to the bathrooms because that's all that's left since he's already said no to the other two. They needed to be remodeled and he starts off by lying about reglazing the tub. He wanted to rip it out and replace the whole thing when it didn't need to be replaced. When I take him to the second bathroom as we walk thru that bedroom that is just a makeshift storage area since we are under construction he makes the RUDEST comment, "Does somebody live here?! This is terrible. I can't believe somebody lives here." That somebody is ME. Why would a professional businessman be so rude? And why would he waste my time by showing up an hour late and then telling me how the job of retexturing the ceilings is just too big when he knew last week what we needed to have done? By the way, my house is only 2200 square feet so it's not a big house. I wouldn't recommend this A hole if he was the one and only person left on this planet. And I will make **** sure everyone in my community knows NOT to even bother calling him.

The team and installer (Bob) did sensational work on our small shower project. We left many of design decisions to the team and the work turned out really impressive. The crew was very tidy and did a nice job post project cleanup. We will be using them again for our new house and some projects there. They even finished some of the drywall in the surround that was not part of the scope. Nice touch.

It all went very well. Their handyman Jeff did an excellent job and was a pleasure to work with. I asked Jeff to suggest a moisture resistant option for replacing the molding. He suggested PVC board, which looks like wood but is made of PVC. He put in the PVC board where the old molding had been and screwed it in using corrosion resistant screws. It came out great! He did a much better job than I probably could have done. He also fixed the two outdoor electrical sockets that I asked him to fix.

The actual work went smoothly as expected. The subcontractor assigned to my job was courteous and completed the work with confidence. Unfortunately, he broke the glass from my storm door. Prior to him leaving my home he understood that his company would need to replace the door. it took 3 weeks to get the job done (could have been done within 7-days). Further investigation revealed that the subcontractor had gone on vacation & had not handed off my job. I had to make additional calls to the contractor before my door was replaced. I under that mistakes/errors happen; however, it's how the person handles them that is important to me as a consumer.

Jeff Hale and his craftsman (Jeff :-) ) were very professional throughout the entire process. We had some scheduling conflicts in the beginning, one on my part, and one on the craftsman's part due to no fault of his own. He was having vehicle issues on route to the site. Jeff arrived to the site on time, and was respectful and engaging throughout the project. He quoted me a price, and agreed. He then left to go purchase the materials at a nearby Home Depot, and returned rather quickly. He started and completed the work that same day. This is efficiency at its best! I want to personally Thank Jeff and his team for taking this project off my To-Do List! :)

Cleaned out 2-car garage of materials left by previous owner so that all that remained were bare walls. Moved washer, dryer and deep sink to back patio. Required a dumpster. Adjusted location of deep sink to provide more room for washer and dryer. Repaired wall box for washer previously damaged by installation people. Repaired damage to walls and ceiling. Primed and painted walls and ceiling. Replaced broken attic access stairs. Installed new window blinds, hangers for garden tools, and assembled 3 6'x4' storage racks. Pressure washed garage floor, and applied 2-step epoxy coating. Cost of service below is for labor and all all materials. Jeff and Michael were easy to work with, and provided advice and assistance all through the project. Worker was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Looking forward to using them on future remodeling projects.

Service was great! The office was very nice and responsive when I contacted them for a quote. They had someone out to walk through the next morning, put together a quote on the spot and started immediately after when we agreed to the pricing. He was so nice and understanding with all the miscellaneous things we asked of him. He was courteous to all the workers in the office to speak with them about their preference on hanging their office items. Will definitely use them again!

Both tasks were done in a timely fashion with care and with high standards of work quality. This is the 2nd time I called them, the last time was for help replacing back porch posts and rescreening. A different person came then and his workmanship was with the same care and high standards. I will call them again when need arises and would not hesitate to recommend their services.

Excellent work, quick response and very professional. This company is our first choice for handyman services. I have contacted others, including individuals who work for themselves, and often get no response; not even a call back! If you don't want to waste your time with lack of responsiveness and poor quality work, call Jeff at My Handy Craftsman.

PLEASE READ IF YOU WANT A BUSINESS WITH INTEGRITY AND SCRUPLES AND ARE HONEST!! They came out and gave an estimate. Very personable and detailed. I informed them at the time I was waiting for $ from roofer who did damage. I liked these people very much, seemed caring. Jeff Hale called a couple of times to see if I was ready to begin. After a few days I was searching for an attorney and had difficulty finding one, Jeff gave me his attorney’s name and phone number. I stated I would call as soon as we hung up. I called the lawyer immediately. I have never used attorney services but it does take time. Attorney needed pictures, estimates (I gave the attorney the one from My Handy Craftsman not the cheapest not the most expensive), and value of things damaged and then time to type up document and have me approve, then sent to other party giving 30 days to respond. They responded finally. I had to approve, send them a check due to them. Waited for check to be handled. It all took several weeks. I had out of state family visit for one week around the same time. Emailed Jeff Hale I was ready to begin any time. No response. After a few days I called. Jeff said. “we are busy”. I said I am in no hurry, it would be better for you if it were cooler anyway, he said "it's been too long". WHAT??? I had ZERO control over the time it took with HIS attorney. Jeff then said he would “ask Chris who came to give the estimate if he wanted to work week-ends". No call back from either Chris or Jeff, didn’t answer the phone when I called. Did he even ask Chris? Why so unprofessional? Jeff had mentioned his church in a previous conversation giving me a good feeling…must be a different kind of church than the one I attend. We are taught to treat others as you would want to be treated, honesty is a good start. Over all this company had VERY POOR INTEGRITY, LACKS HONESTY, POOR COMMUNICATION!!!

Refused to take my job after I asked about pulling a permit. Very strange response!

no work performed, no answers to my claimed deal

The contractor called me, and after a brief discussion they indicated they could not do the job requested.

It went very well. He got there on time, repaired everything in a timely manner. No trouble at all.

I made an appointment for 8am and rearranged my busy schedule to be home for the appointment. I called and left a message when nobody showed, asking if the appointment was still on. Now it is 10:30, and having never heard back I called once again. This time, I heard the dreaded, "Your call cannot be completed at this time." Being blocked makes no sense since I was very polite. Possibly the phone is now disconnected. I would have tried to reschedule as I know sometimes people miss appointments for various reasons and I am very understanding of that. But, at this point I have to start a new search, and chalk up the time I took off to a complete waste of time.

It went great! When the weather became a factor, they were sure to keep me informed of the situation and what was feasible. Very friendly and very professional! I will definitely be using them again if I have future home repairs.

It turned out perfect, absolutely lovely. We've already offered him another job.

We want to give a shout out filled with BIG THANKS to this company for jumping right in on this project and conducting the business with the utmost professionalism.Their communication was excellent, the work was detailed and they were very helpful in getting materials while we were out of town. I would highly recommend them to anyone doing remodeling projects of any sorts. It is nice to know there are companies out there that really care about their customers needs.

This is the only company we will use in the future for our home updates. The team was a reliable and conscientious group of professionals. The owner arrived several times during the project to determine the quality of work and our satisfaction. We benefited from their expertise and ideas as the project progressed. The new build-out, the tile work, the painting, electrical and plumbing was all completed without issue.

Chris was great! Prompt, clean and did a fantastic job.

Overall experience was not good. The good: handyman was on time and professional The bad: the quality of the work is sub standard relative to the price. Recommendation, if you hire, you need to make sure you supervise the handyman (or babysit to use a better word) and inspect the work.

Fantastic first-time experience with this company. With just a couple small jobs needing to get done, a bigger contractor doesn’t have the time or inclination to help. Taking a chance on some guy working out of the back of his pickup truck can sometimes work out, but sometimes it’s a risk. So - it’s great to be able to call My Handy Craftsman. We received a clear explanation of their charges and got the work scheduled with someone with the skills who got the job done. It was so easy. With the company standing behind the work, we knew could have confidence in the person who came out and in the work that was done.

Pros - (1) finished products look great and work as expected. (2) company scheduled me in within days when i called (3) Although the job took longer than the time they estimated, they did not charge me for the additional hours. (4) the person was punctual each day and professional, (5) the company also called a couple of weeks after the job to follow-up as to customer satisfaction Cons: (1) it took them much longer than they originally quoted - so i had to be home from work an additional day (2) when i initially called to schedule the service, i had described 3 tasks that i wanted to get done. When the handyman arrived, they told me they couldn't do the 3rd task (fixing/resurfacing/repairing a concrete area) - that they don't have the proper skills for that type of work - which is nice that they owned up to that - just would have been nice to know that when i initially called so i could have begun looking for another contractor

Overall did a good job and I am hesitant to write this review because the quality of the work and their professionalism was very good, but.... Would have hired them again except for the follow up. One of the doors was installed incorrectly. They came out once and said nothing was wrong but there was. Lock and door knob did not turn easily, can't use the key and I had to remove some weather striping to make the door close. I called three times for them to come out. Was told they would and now nearly 5 months later they still have not been back and the door is still a problem. I have more work I would like to have done but am looking for someone else to do the jobs..

Same day service, I had a few areas that needed to be redone after project and was taken care of promptly. Very happy overall with the service and would definitely hire again.
