Description of Work: House repairs, he did roofing work, replaced my dry well, also restored a cement lawn wall that was coming down, painting and carpentry work, and plumbing!!

Description of Work: He was asked to repair a door lock. He couldn't fix it so I fixed it myself (I am a 72 yr old woman) He applied solar film to a patio door. Even though he had more time that I had paid for he would not do anything else because it was "not on the list"

Description of Work: Repaired damage in breakfast room ceiling caused by upstairs bath leak. An excellent job . Arrived as scheduled, performed work and left the area clean. Will definitely use again.

Description of Work: I always seem to learn the hard way... This company seemed like a good idea on the surface, they come out and give you a quote and then won't charge you more. The problem is that when I gave the list on the phone, they said it could be done in a day - the man they sent gave me a quote of 3.5 days. I paired the list down to necessities and was told one day. Mind you, it took almost two hours to complete the quote - and that should have been my first clue to send them packing. Essentially, I spent almost $400 to have a couple ceiling fans hung and a garbage disposal replaced - little did I know I was being charged for all that time it took to give the quote. Maybe they have other guys that hustle more, but I won't be taking the risk again.

Description of Work: Don't remember the names of the 2 guys they came at separate times. I hired them to help shore up my privacy fence with screws. The 1st guy went around the yard & put screws in various places & found a couple of rotted fence posts that needed replacing, but we had to sked another day since a T-storm was coming in. So a few weeks later I called to have him back & found out he was no longer w/the company. They sent out a 2nd guy to finish the job & immediately the 2nd guy started complaining about the 1st guy & having to clean up after the 1st guy, etc. Anyway he got the fence posts & put them in with the concrete the 1st guy had bought & left. I explained to him the 1st guy may have put the wrong screws in or tightened them to much because the fence was cracking in several places where he put these in. The 2nd guy said that's the messes I've had to clean up & he did nothing to remedy the situation. In fact when I checked the fence a few days later after the concrete dried I found he didn't even secure one of the fence panels properly! My fence is in worse shape than before!

Description of Work: I had a list of misc. items that needed to be done and the Handyman accomplished all tasks to my satisfaction. Very professional and definitly did not waste time in completeing the tasks. I had the following tasks to be completed. baseboard replaced; faucet replacment for a bathroom and utility sink; painting of shower celing; installing drawer stops in cabinets; patching a dry wall area. This was all a real boost to getting my house back in order. I wwill definitly use a again when I need someting to be done and recommend them highly.

Description of Work: My Handy Craftsman, Chris, arrived about 45 minutes earlier than the previously designated appointment time, which pleased me. He was aware of my Angie's Big Deal Coupon. He reviewed the situation with the toilet innards and agreed that everything in tank mechanism, including the bolts that held the tank to the toilet bowl were in need of replacement. I had previously purchased all the necessary parts. However, removing the old rusted bolts and other parts was not a simple task. Chris completed the job within two hours. His work was neat and the toilet functions perfectly. Additionally, he checked soffit vents and climbed up on the roof and checked the exterior roof for possible attic entry spots for vermin, but could not identify any obvious openings. He also assessed the problem with the door between the garage and kitchen. He will get back to me with his suggestions for solution and estimates for the door problem. I was very satisfied with the job on the toilet tank and would have no reservations about using this handyman again.

Description of Work: I would like to avail of their services for the 2 hour special offer they have on Angie's list. However I have been calling them (have left 2 voicemails in 3 days) to understand their availability before I pay for the coupons directly through Angie's. They have not bothered to call back and the coupon ends on Sunday. Still happy to consider using services given the feedback by other users but a disappointing start. The phone goes straight to voicemail...

Description of Work: They gave me a quote. I didn’t do the job because the prices were too high for what I wanted to do. Everyone that came were gentleman and very nice and they followed up well. I have no complaints.
