Description of Work: These guys rebuilt the inside insert on the doors of my wife's Mustang convertible. They did it in less than two hours and at a cost $160 lower than the dealership where I work! Would I use them again? You bet your sweet bippy I would!

Description of Work: Put new convertible top and new headliner in a 1996 BMW 328i series. Great people. Don & his son are very professional & personable. Everything was done on time & the top came out beautiful. Changed color from black to chocolate brown & it looks better than the original black. They really did a great job. Would go back again in a heart beat & will recommend them to anyone who needs auto upholstery work. Very stress free experience. Great shop.

Description of Work: Replaced the convertible top on my 1997 Miata. Did a BEAUTIFUL job. Love the glass window, and the owner, Don, was SO NICE. The work was very reasonably priced!! He even had the mechanic next door check my oil leak & change my oil as a free gift for me because he didn't want my car to stop on my way home. I can't say enough good about Maitland Auto Upholstery. THANK YOU SO MUCH for telling me about them. They were an hour drive away from me, but SO VERY worth the trip. God bless you, Don!!

+ -1 moreDon recognized the problem with our door panels right away -- he mentioned that he sees this all the time. He repaired these for his quoted price of $75/panel. The results look great -- they look like factory new. No one who has been in our car since has any idea that they've been replaced. The repair was completed within 1 day -- the time frame promised. If you need upholstery work done, I'm very confident that Maitland Auto Upholstery will do the best possible job for you.
Description of Work: Replaced vinyl upholstery in all 4 door panels of 2006 Ford Escape. The factory upholstery was coming off due to age and heat.

Description of Work: I suspect that I had an extraordinarily great experience with this business, but I have to give them the highest marks in general. | |The problem was a worn out leather driver's seat in my 2000 Ford Explorer. I was referred to them by two competitors who didn't want to do the job. Others had offered to do the job for over $1000, which I was willing to consider. | |I drove to their shop last Saturday from a competitor that recommended them. They greeted me cheerfully and said they had time to do the job immediately. I loved their estimate, which was exactly what I paid in the end, and gave them my key in exchange for a handshake. | |As I was on my way home with a friend who picked me up, it occurred to me that I had signed no paperwork. That's why I gave a little nick on the "Professionalism" rating. Yet, in my 59 years, I have been screwed over and over again when I had the paperwork, but I have never been screwed in a handshake agreement, and I still haven't been. | |The job was complete less than one business day later. The repaired seat matches the color, style, and comfort of the otherwise factory delivered interior. I don't know how to rate that less than highest. If it falls apart, I'll be back to comment! | |Again, judging by the high level of activity I observed in their shop, I suspect that I brought them a job that was well inside their envelope and suitable for a quick turnaround. That said, I also saw jobs in progress in the shop that gave me ideas for future projects I might take to them. I will report again if I do those projects.

+ -1 moreThe car was dropped off and ready within less than 48 hours for pick up. The top looked great, was well done and feels like the original OEM installation. The new window seals were done at no charge since the old parts were removed during disassembly of the old top. I recommend ordering a sealing frame to make their install job easier and to ensure a new leak free seal. I used a GAHH top and they mentioned that this is their preferred replacement top for BMWs. I highly recommend Maitland Auto Upholstery for anyone seeking a high quality convertible top installer.
Description of Work: Maitland Auto Upholstery replaced my convertible top on my 2001 Z3 BMW. I supplied my own GAHH top with headliner along with a factory sealing frame and new window trim seals. The job involved removing the old worn out top with seals and installation of the new components.

I've had my convertible for over 16 years, and have dealt with him exclusively for top replacements, which has averaged one every five years in this Florida climate with no garage. His prices have always been fair, his work quality excellent, and the turn-around time is amazingly fast. The top he put on last year developed an unforeseen problem and he gladly just replaced it without any hesitation or question. His customer relation skills are fantastic. One can't go wrong dealing with him.

Description of Work: My 2008 VW had a problem with the back window falling out - I did research found it's a problem with this model. The dealer told me the fix was roof replacement. I tried a few repairs then found Maitland and they did replace the roof, 1/2 the cost of the dealer and worked with us if we wanted to buy our own roof. Professional - cost effective family business took only one week to get it delivered and installed in one day!

Don was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in making my custom interior idea a reality. I had been to other upholstery shops and they told me that it could not be done. Don referred me to a reputable embroidery shop where the logo was put on the new material supplied by Maitland Auto Upholstery. They installed the new material onto the headrests and console. It looks GREAT!!! Don even supplied an extra console piece at no additional charge. The price was less than half of what the other upholstery shops quoted. They true craftsmen and an outstanding business. Don truly cares about the customer and their complete satisfaction. He went above and beyond.
Description of Work: Maitland Auto Upholstery removed both headrests and console covers and reinstalled new pieces with custom embroidery.
