Roto Rooter

Description of Work: The service came over as advised by our plumber, to take the camera and run it through the drain, as the snaking our plumber had done a few days before was not successful in our upstairs bathroom. He came very promptly, snaked again, but advised us that we did not need the camera......what were we to do, being told by a professional that they didn't need it? We were expecting and willing to pay for the extra $300 for the camera. Needless to say, it stopped up again that night, and the next day, we had another provider come in with a camera, and solved the problem. I asked for my money back, got a portion of it, but these are the rudest and nastiest people I've ever dealt with. Took 2 weeks for the refund, have no trust in them locally or as a national "chain" or "franchise" now. We were fortunate enough to identify the plumbing company that installed the plumbing at construction. Roto Rooter insisted that we used the original plumber the next day because they came with the camera free....that was not true. They did do it free, but it was all timing. I'd received a call that Monday morning after Easter from our county Building Department with the name of the contractor that morning. I had left a message the week before when they were closed for the holidays. Miss Roto Rooter was mad that they did it at no charge, when we would have GLADLY paid them for that service the day before. Never again........never. We find out later that RR has this reputation in our area. :(
