We have used Stuart over the years for various projects at our home and a condo we recently sold. He does exceptional work and does not disappoint. We highly recommend him for tile and wood work projects.

Our family has enjoyed Stuart's craftsmanship in tile setting and wood flooring installation over several years (see past reviews). This latest project is no exception. The tile chosen is glass mosaic and was set in the kitchen backsplash with Schluter aluminum tile molding to cover exposed edges. The work was completed swiftly so there was no interruption to our routine and the craftsmanship was top notch. We are planning some more work in the near future and Stuart will again be first on our list to call for worry free installation.

Another installation well done by Stuart. I am an extremely satisfied customer who has requested that Stuart, again, use his talents to complete my kitchen renovation. Our family has exclusively used Stuart to help us with renovations by installing floor tile, wall tile, shower enclosures and glued wood flooring as well (see previous reviews). Stuart is a no nonsense businessman in addition to being a talented craftsman he is very keen to stay working until the job is complete and the customer is satisfied with no excuses. I contacted Stuart for an estimate and he was courteous and prompt returning my call and scheduling the estimate. I provided him with photographs of the particular pattern that I wanted in the custom design. Stuart actually came to my house twice and measured, once after we initially changed our mind about the size of the project. Throughout the entire process, Stuart was a pleasure to work with. He performed all of the work himself and is definitely a perfectionist. We are extremely happy with how the project turned out and I am quite glad that we chose him to perform the work. I highly recommend Stuart to anyone looking for a quality tiling job done by a friendly, professional contractor.

Stuart Taylor is a wonderful man--personal, punctual and polite. His work is incredible--he truly is the artist that other reviewers spoke about. We were so happy with the work he did for us. He was neat and meticulous! We would highly recommend him.

First of all the work Stuart did was incredible. He is an artist and our kitchen tile reflects his skills. My husband and I redid our large kitchen by ourselves. It is the 3rd kitchen we have designed and built. We do our own work because we rarely find people whose work reflects the level of skill and caring we put into our home. Stuart was the exception to this rule, his work is impeccable and he is pleasant, flexible, punctual, and professional. He cared as much about the quality of his work as we care about the quality of our work. He is a genuinely nice guy and it was easy to work and to communicate with him. He was very flexible with his time. Since this was a project we were doing ourselves, the backsplash tile over the stove needed to be completed before the rest of the tile in the kitchen could be done. Stuart did the backsplash and allowed me time to finish the corbels that we installed. He then came back to our home and completed installing the tile throughout the rest of the kitchen. Then he returned a third time, the next day, and grouted everything. When he was finished he cleaned everything up and left our kitchen looking clean, beautiful, and complete. Several weeks have passed since the work was completed and both my husband and I continue to talk about how great the tile work looks.

Stuart is a pleasure to work with and is an extremely hard worker. He is punctual and a delight to have in your home. A true craftsman in his field and takes pride in his work. Both areas being very hard to find anymore, this day in age. We will use him again and would recommend him to anyone who wants a job well done!

Stuart is a master at his craft. He takes great pride in his work and is a perfectionist. That is a difficult attribute to find this day in age. He is a pleasure to have in your home and is very good at keeping you informed with the different aspects of the job. He will be returning in July to lay bamboo flooring in the majority of our house.

Stuart really outdid himself on this latest effort. Stuart has done a lot of work for my family here in the Tampa area and this time the work was done at my Dad's house. The idea for this design was based on a bath seen in a "Houzz" photograph. Friends and neighbors are amazed at how well this work turned out on both the design and technical level. The task began with applying a waterproofing membrane on the walls and shower floor. This will enable the shower last many years by not letting water intrude past the tile base. Before even thinking about setting tile Stuart had to lay out the complicated design on the walls with masking tape and pencil lines to insure the proportions were eye pleasing and technically feasible. It was an iterative process until the dimensions and proportions came together. You can see from the photos how well it turned out. An example of Stuart's attention to detail is to notice in one of the photos how the diagonal tiles in the corners flow from one side to the other. This a fine example of Stuart's capabilities.

Stuart and Michael did a fabulous job. They had many challenges with the materials and levels of the old floors in all rooms. They were able to keep the floors level even after the tear out and even found a leak for us in the bathroom which stopped a disaster from destroying our hardwood floors. We ran out of tile but were lucky to get the same lot that we had. I would highly recommend ordering far more tile that you need so that you cover what may come broken in the box and of course, extra for future repairs. We also have several other contractors here at the same time and they worked in great harmony with them. I plan to use them again when we have our other bathroom floor done.

Stuart is a real craftsman and the tile looks great. He was responsible and did exactly what he said he would do. He also explained all the steps and what to expect. Construction is not really a fun experience, but Stuart made it as painless as possible and the result was what I hoped for. I also appreciated that he took charge of getting supplies and coordinating with Wayne, the wonderful plummer he works with. It was a "small world" thing too because his wife owns the Mrs. Tea's Garden Tea Room where I have been with my grandchildren and he of course did the work there. I whole heartedfly recommend Taylor Tile.

As others have noted on Angie's List, Stuart is a class act from beginning to end. Very professional and reliable and willing to do whatever it takes to make everything come together. He said in the beginning this would a stress-free experience for us and he was right. He recommended a plumber and electrician and once we contacted them and agreed to their price he coordinated their work as a contractor might do. Both of his referrals were very good. Stuart did an outstanding job and the bathroom came out great. Highly recommended.

Absolutely top shelf. The job went exactly according to plan. Neat and great attention to detail. Excellent job of coping with the irregularities of a shotgun shack built in 1925. Hallmark of a great contractor: he left the job cleaner than it was when he arrived.

Because Stuart stays busy, expect him to have to work you into his schedule, especially if your job is a small one.

I'm looking at replacing my backsplash in the kitchen. Stuart is coming over to give me an estimate to perform that job. I would definitely recommend him to everyone. He doesn't hesitate to take on small jobs and does an excellent work.

We needed help quickly and Taylor delivered. Stuart removed the cracked tiles and replaced them. He then even went above and beyond by going to Home Depot to get an exact match for the grout that he did not have on his truck, even though he had close matches that would have worked. He then cleaned everything up. First rate.

He's does a wonderful job and pays attention to detail. He take my visions and makes them a reality. His prices are first rate.

Stuart did an excellent job of installing the tile and other jobs. We had to travel on a trip during the renovation, and he was very accommodating with rescheduling. He was knowledgeable about materials and returned phone calls promptly. He was also pleasant to work with and answered any questions freely. I asked him if he could recaulk our kitchen counter where it was cracking, and he also did this without charging any extra (we would have paid for this). I found that impressive.

This is the third room Sturat has installed tile for us. Another terrific job done. The proof in his attention to detail is when I reinstalled the toilet after he put the tile down, it required no shims. The toilet sits level and does not rock. Highly recommend Sturat to anyone.

I can't say enough good things about him. He was a pleasure to work with and a great guy. The quality of work was amazing. I'm a perfectionist and he was on it. I also threw him a few curve balls and he handled it perfectly.

Stuart is very busy, so we had to wait for a bit for a slot to open in his schedule, but it was well worth the wait. He gave us suggestions about what would look good with our countertops, and he responded to any questions we had. We had no idea what kind of tile to use, and he gave us the name of a good place to go to pick out the materials. He arrived at our home when he said he would, and he took a lot of care installing the tiles. We are very happy with the results, and we feel the price was very reasonable.
