IERNA's Heating & Cooling

Our A/C went out and IERNA was able to get us scheduled same day for the evaluation. The motor was replaced and things were up and running the next morning. Unfortunately, about a week later, it stopped working again. IERNA was came right back out to the house within hours and determined the control panel had also gone bad. Jay Evans was our technician and he answered all of our questions and helped us understand our options etc based on year of the unit. He also walked us through what to look out for and what to expect as our unit is almost 10 years old. He came back the next day and made the repair and re-checked EVERYTHING else too, ensuring that we were in good shape. He was so nice and punctual. Would definitely hire again. IERNA came through before we had many people in our home prior to a family event. It is very much appreciated. Thanks!

We have a contract with them so they come out every six months. We had to have some things done. It took them probably half and hour, forty-five minutes to complete the work. It seems like every time they come out they are saying we need something else.

IERNA's once again came to the rescue. The tech came at the time we requested, diagnosed the problem, and corrected it within an hour. He also gave us tips on how to keep our A/C unit running well during the hot summer months. Thanks!!!

I bought a new 2.5 Ton 14 Seer Goodman AC unit Model #GSZ140301 & ARUF31B14 Serial #1608339135 & 1604046259 on 9/16/2016 for $3939.75 from Patrick Kilgannon who specifically recommended this unit for my home and who is still an employee at Ierna Heating and Cooling. At that time the company was called All-Tech Air and Filtration and they have since merged with Ierna Heating and Cooling, keeping many of the same staff from All-Tech including Patrick Kilgannon, the prior owner of All-Tech Air. We began having problems almost immediately, an example of which is shown in the following email exchange (addresses removed) from October 6, 2016 with Jacqueline the office manager at the company which was then called All-Tech Air and Filtration. We continued to have problems with the unit not sufficiently cooling the home and didn't find out what the true problem was until after All-Tech Air merged with Ierna Heating and Cooling when finally, Nick Olmedo, one of the managers went to see the house himself. Nick did what was apparently a simple test of the home's BTU requirements (which should have been done in the first place) and simply told us our new 2.5 Goodman AC unit was too small for the house. He specifically explained that his test showed that the house required an AC unit which put out at least 39,000 BTU and our 2.5 ton AC unit only puts out 30,000 BTU. I told him great, let's get the larger unit in there, fully planning on paying the purchase price difference between the 2 units. However, instead of treating this as a customer service issue, Nick tried to PROFIT from this mistake by attempting to sell me a brand new unit from scratch for $6,256 (which should have been the unit installed in the first place) as shown below and in the attached picture: OPTION #1 REPLACING SYSTEM WITH LARGER 3 TON 2 STAGE HEAT PUMP WITH FV4CNF002 AIR HANDLER Total Investment: $79/MO* $6,256 Bryant 226ANA036000 -Preferred Series -Two Stage Heat Pump -10 year parts limited to original purchaser upon timely registration -Otherwise 5 years Bryant FV4CNF002L00 Brochure -Preferred Series -Variable Speed Air Handler Bryant Auxiliary Heater -Auxiliary Heater When I called Nick Olmedo and told him I expected that under warranty they needed to exchange this under- performing unit for the larger unit and I would only pay the difference in purchase price between the 2 units, he flatly refused saying they would take NO responsibility for any of the warranty or product performance issues for any of the units installed by the company they merged with. Again, Patrick Kilgannon who owned All-Tech Air still works at Ierna Heating and Cooling! I told Nick I would check Florida law with my attorney to see if their refusal to take responsibility was legal and I was reassured by my attorney that in fact Ierna Heating and Cooling DOES have legal responsibility for warranty and product performance issues installed by the company they merged with.

Good service. I signed up for continuing periodic service.

Overall technician work excellent but scheduling through office was not coordinated well. Office sent technician to another location without consideration of work not completed at my residence. Had to reach out to technician to get scheduled work previously paid for.

The guys set up a tent and installed during a tropical storm. Need I say more? Heroes :)

Nick and Wilmer did an excellent job. They were very professional and courteous. They explained everything and answered all questions. Work site was cleaned and left like it was found. This was a very extensive and time consuming project and Nick and Wilmer went above and beyond to provide great service! This is why I always call IERNA for all our heating and cooling needs.

I found Ierna on Angies List and since they had such great reviews I decided to give them a try. I had 5 of the nicest and hardest working reps. Thank you Nick M., Mike, Jay, TJ, and Chris A. They put in a total of 20 hours between two days working in the 98° heat and were all so pleasant to have around. Ierna will always be my go to company for my heating and cooling needs.

They were able to work me in for a same-day service call on a busy Monday in baking July, so the great service started right off the bat. The first tech, Clay, rapidly diagnosed the needed repair and determined the part was under warranty, but needed to be ordered, no surprise. He was polite, very informative and set clear expectations for next steps. The next day the second tech, Jay, replaced the part, added refrigerant and got everything working. He was extremely neat and tidy. I'm not! :-) so they must be that way in everybody's home. He was polite, thorough, and explained things in understandable terms. The day after that they called to ensure everything was working properly. I thought Ierna's was great, definitely recommend them and will use them again.

It was great. The technician was very professional. He showed my wife how to clean the condensation pipe with vinegar. Didn't try to sell unnecessary stuff . I strong recommend them.

Complete waste of time and money, I had to find and fix the problem myself. I called them when my a/c kicked on and started putting humidity into the air instead of taking it out, and wasn't really cooling, it was 3:11pm when I called them. The lady took my information and said she wasn't sure if someone could come out today or if it would be tomorrow (they have 24/7 emergency service, but she wasn't sure if they could come out today?). She said she'd have to check with dispatcher, so I asked her to call me back to let me know either way. She never called back. I gave up on them coming out today after I'd waited more than 1 hour to hear back from her, and started checking things myself, found the problem was clogged drain line, and got it unclogged. I finally heard from Brian at Ierna's at 6:59pm, after I had already fixed the problem and put everything away. He said he'd be here in 5 - 10 minutes, and he was. I should have told him to not bother coming, but I wanted a professional to check everything to make sure I hadn't missed anything. Brian was nice enough, but he was obviously overtired and did not seem to understand anything I was telling him, nor did he check anything much. He tried to tell me sitting water in the evaporator pan is normal, and that the air leaking from where the blower and the ductwork meet wasn't bad, etc. He had no clues as to why the humidity would go up and seemed more concerned with making trips to his truck so he could make phone calls. He paid more attention to his phone than he did to my a/c unit. I found more useful information online than I got from him, I had to nag him to look into the evaporator pan, etc. He did absolutely nothing to help with the issue, just wasted my time and money. He knew how much the company would charge for things, though! He said he didn't have equipment to patch the air leak, but I could have them come out sometime and they'd mastic the whole ductwork. He didn't clean anything, didn't check anything except the things I nagged him to, was confused by the thermostat. Seemed like all he wanted to do was sell me stuff. He didn't even bring his ladder in at first, or any equipment. When he finally did bring it in, he didn't bring anything else. What good does it do to have someone come out if they're not going to actually FIX something or at least check thoroughly to find out the problems? I wish I would have called them back after I had fixed it myself and told them to not bother coming out, or at the very least, to have them send someone out the next morning when the person would hopefully not be too tired to think and might be motivated to actually DO something. I tried them in the first place because I had seen one of their techs fix someone else's a/c issue, and another person I know said they were great putting her new system in, and saw they had really good reviews here, plus Angie's List had a coupon that I used. Even with the coupon, it was a complete waste of time and money!

They did a good job. They did very good work, they were so good I highly recommend them. They come and do the tune-up every year. They were very honest. They told me that my electric bill will go down $50 a month. I thought that was because they were trying to get me to buy their air conditioner, but it actually did go down $50 a month. In five years now the air conditioner has almost paid for itself if you save $50 a month for five years. It was about an 8 hour day, and they had two men. It was a long job. The timing was very reasonable, perfect, they were excellent, and great. I would say that they need to work on the annual tune-up and of course if it breaks I'll call them to fix it. I think I have a Trane, they put it in and know how to fix it.

I called and they were able to come out within a few hours. The tech explained the issue and provide options for fixing. He quickly fixed the problem and got our system working again.

Scott, the technician, came that afternoon and he quickly diagnosed the problem. He gave us two options and was able to easily fix the unit. He called 30 minutes before arriving. Two days later he called to see if the A/C was operating properly. Very nice that he followed up.

They just hit all my expectations. They sent 2 different groups of workers, four people, five counting the sales person. They cleaned up the area. I had no complaints, everything was to my expectations.

The installers, John and Austin, were right on time with the schedule we had been given and worked non-stop on a very hot and humid day to get the unit in and running on the same day. They went over the operation with us before leaving and made sure everything was clean and neat before they left.

Nick and Wilmur did a professional job at our home. They cleaned up afterwards, and went over warranty etc.

Really really good. Techs called indicating they were heading my way. Nice feature. You are informed they are on their way.

great. Tech Anthony Leonetti was very professional and represented Ierna very well. Took his time to make sure everything was to my satisfaction.

Prompt service; John & Austin were professional courteous installers; always returned calls and showed up on time.

They were responsive and professional and got the job done well.

If I could give them an A+ I would!!!!

Richard - service manager - called and promised that someone would show up at 8:00pm to take care of our issue. Based on our previous experience earlier today, we were skeptical. We were delighted that Chris showed up at 8:00 pm, as promised. He stayed until past 9:30pm and took care of our problem. He was polite, professional, and clearly cared about making us happy and fixing the problem. This encounter has completely won us back to Ierna's and we would gladly use them again in the future based on how they ultimately handled this situation.

Very pleased, technicians ( Juan, Rich and John, were very competent and professional. They answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns.
