Jim Hernandez, the owner came and gave me the estimate and was also present to supervise the job during the two days it took to complete. That was an important factor that I wanted, to insure a good job, and not leave the details to his workers. Jim was very friendly and presented himself in a professional manner. It was a pleasure working with him. He even came to the house on a Sunday to work out the details of the contract. He was also very concerned with the weather and kept us posted of the conditions as to when he should start the job. I wanted to make sure that the roofing contractor that I used was fully insured including workers compensation on his employees, and Good Neighbor Roofing had all that. I would highly recommend this company to anyone that wanted a good job at a fair price.

Good Neighbor was referred to me by a friend who used their services so I thought I would go ahead and get a quote. The owner and sales consultant both came out and gave me an estimate that was below most others. I had several estimates and most were higher using lower quality materials. Everything was above my expectations from start to finish. There was always a supervisor on property. They replaced every piece of rotten wood/beadboard around my house. My house is an old craftsman and they matched all the eaves and rafters perfectly. I cannot tell you how happy I am that I chose to go with Jim Fernandez and Good Neighbor Roofing. Recap: 1. Very Professional 2. Supervisor on site entire time 3. Excellent pricing using only the best materials 4. They will fix all the damaged wood. (My father had a new rood installed with another company and they covered up all the rotten wood.) Luckily he was watching. 5. Everything was cleaned up as if nobody was ever there. 100% recommend.

I have a fairly large roof (total size is 5000 square feet -- in roofing terms, that is 50 squares). The going rate for Angie's List A+ Contractors in Tampa appears to be between $290.00 to $340.00 per square. Good Neighbor charged $245.00, which brought the price to $12,250.00. Prior to contracting with Good Neighbor, I got price quotes from five Angie's List A-rated providers. All of them came in at $15-17K for the same project. Note that I had a problem area on my roof where three sections intersect and had been causing a leak in my den for months. Good Neighbor came back on site after the first rain subsequent to the roof installation, because we detected that the leak issue persisted. They put on additional sealant, underlayment, metal drip edge and flashing that ultimately eliminated this issue. This was not a straightforward fix -- in the past, I had had two other roofers come out and try to fix it with no success. Good Neighbor were on-site for almost an entire day addressing this issue to my satisfaction at no additional charge on the project. So, in all, Jim Fernandez and Good Neighbor Roofing, Inc. were the best price by far and provided very professional and excellent service. My new roof looks great. I highly recommend them for your roofing needs.
