Description of Work: Bath Medic came out on 6/5/2014. I was having my kids bathtub refinished. I chose that time because they were going to be gone for 2 weeks so the glaze would have plenty of time to cure even though I was told it would only need 24 hours. They did the work, it looked great and they gave me instructions on using only certain cleaners which I went out and purchased. They also suggested applying a coat of wax on it which I also did. After 2 weeks my kids(13 & 15) came home and after using the bathtub a couple of times I noticed 2 small chips near the drain. I called Bath Medic and they were willing to come back and repair the chips but made comment that something must have been dropped on it because it just wouldn't chip with regular use. There was nothing in the tub area except plastic shampoo bottles and if that causes the finish to chip then that's not very durable. When they came out for the repair the man was just insistant that somebody dropped something. Well in the past 6 months several more chips have appeared and it looks horrible. My kids even left the bar of soap on the side of the tub and when I picked it up to place it in the soap dish a piece of the finish came off with the soap. I don't even know if it can be repaired at this point. We may have to replace the whole bathtub. I didn't call them back about the additional problems because they were so accusatory about the original problem being my fault and I didn't figure that they would do anything about it.

+ -1 moreI am happy to have these people do the work. They are pleasant to deal with. Since there are strong odors involved with the process, you will need to provide a window and door that they can use to put the large vent tube through. The odor is gone after about two days. Surfaces are easier to clean after the finish, but you cannot use harsh or abrasive cleaners.
Description of Work: I had the Buck's back to do my shower, since the tub turned out so well. They had to remove paint from the edges of the tile, and do some grouting. The shower had a problem with mildew and the floor of the shower looked particularly bad. The floor of the shower had a non slip coating in addition to the regular miracle method refinishing. It looks like new, and is much safer. I changed from bone to white, which looks very nice.

countertops
+ -1 moreThey have a method where they coat the laminated countertops. It hardens and it is a lot less expensive. They took out countertops down to their service center and put several coats on them. They did a great job. It worked out fine. He did everything he said he would do.

+ -1 moreWork took about four and half hours. Fumes were vented out the front door with a large tube. Odor disappeared after two days. Cleaned areas to be refinished and applied new grout, before refinishing. Gentle cleansing will be needed for this type surface. I was very pleased at having a new look at a reasonable price. This is a very pleasant husband and wife team. I plan to have them come back to do a shower.
Description of Work: Refinished bathtub and tile surrounding walls. Removed and masked hardware. A plumber may be needed to reattach or replace fixtures. When finished the tub and walls looked new. Care was taken to insure edges were clean and precise. Do not ask for tile repair work.

+ -1 moreI have an older home that I had to renovate, the tub was in horrible shape. I could not get out the stains and it had stuck on glue and caulk that I could not get up from a sliding door that covered the tub. Miracle Method came in and refinished the tub to look like new. It saved me from having to pull out the old cast iron tub which would have been labor intensive and would have cost me much more. They were scheduled to do the work within a week of my calling, and they completed the work within two hours just as they said they would.

+ -1 moreI didn't have to pay for the service b/c a previous plumber had damaged our tub. The estimated price for the tub was $238. Extremely pleasant people. Nice people to have around you. Very contentious about covering things not to damage them. Great overall job.
