Description of Work: Bernard, from Absolute Electric, was superb. He quickly determined the immediate problem which resulted from another electrician (not Absolute) fixing one problem but creating another. He quickly resolved my problem (several non-working outlets) and corrected the problem from the prior electrician that I had used. Further, I needed to split me pool pumps to separate circuit breakers for my TECO Energy Planner installation. Once again, he analyzed the situation and provided a quick and inexpensive solution to my problem. Bernard is knowledgeable, efficient and very pleasant. On top of it all, his rates were very reasonable; especially compared to my prior experience with another electrical contractor that fixed one problem and created I will certainly utilize Bernard of Absolute Electrical and wholeheartedly recommend him to everyone.

Description of Work: Installed a dedicated outlet in back of house for lift station pump, replaced two fluorescent light fixtures, installed outdoor wall mount light fixture, removed defunct phone cables. | |That day another worker was here to troubleshoot a lift station problem. Bernard was kind enough to help me supervise that worker because that worker didn't seem to know what he was doing. Bernard also let him use some of his tools because the worker was obviously unprepared for what he was called to do. Bernard is a very nice, capable person.

Description of Work: We had a small electrical outlet fire that burned the outlet. Bernard Planas came and checked our electrical panel for damage. Fortunately for us it was just the electrical outlet and wiring that burned. Mr Planas replaced our outlet and made other suggestions for surge protection. It was a good experience and we will do business in the future.

Description of Work: Two outlets were added in my garage, one 220 and the other 110. Bernard spent extra time locating and labeling circuit breakers and outside junction boxes when he came for the estimate. Very nice and friendly. Very helpful and did not rush. I scheduled an appointment with Absolute Electric Of Tampa Bay,Inc. and Benard arrived on the day agreed upon and on time. He assesed the problem and replaced the origional cable with a much larged gauge cable. He tested the new cable and checked all the fittings to ensure proper functionality. Description of Work: We are having a fairly large number of electrical improvements done to our house. I called Absolute and spoke with Shauwn, the owner. We arranged a time for the estimate and I emailed him a list of the projects we are considering. He and one of his employees showed up exactly on time, were very professional, explained what they could do, and provided a written estimate on the spot. I was very happy with their performance at the estimate and would definitely consider them again, however in this case we went with another top rated company due to price.

Description of Work: My water heater was broken and the water heater supplier suggested that I upgrade my electrical system in order to accommodate a new water heater. This company found the problem and took care of it without having to replace the water heater. They found the heater element to be defective and replaced it.

Description of Work: We just bought this house and moved in. It was a corporate move and the company paid a special service to come out and install our washer and dryer. When they tried to plug in the dryer the cord did not match the plug so they "generously" offered to send us for $75 COD a 4 prong dryer cord to match our "4 prong" outlet. To make a long story short the forth hole was a hole for the screw and not a prong. WE got a cord at home improvement store for $15 and plugged it in but it smelled like an electrical fire when we did. That was the day I joined Angie's List in order to find someone that knew what they were doing. My neighbor in Charlotte, NC had used the service several times. Bernard came that day, showed me what was wrong and assured us that we could only use a three prong cord because there were only 3 wires behind the plug. Professional, prompt and so helpful. He is coming back next week to do more work and we have more plans after we get settled.
