Great, he had some good recommendations for gate location and other opening sites. He had the right tools and got the work completed as discussed.

Geoff came out and gave a free quote way back in February when we initially had the inspection on our new property. After we finally closed I called Geoff back to schedule an installation. As he was starting his class schedule he came out at 7:30am to install the fence. The fence installation went really well - Geoff was great at explaining what he was doing and he sketched out where the fencing was going to run with chalk before he started. In addition to the fence and gate, Geoff also installed a pass-through so we could get to the pool filter, etc as it was on the other side. After installation and payment, my wife saw the fence a few days later and wanted a reverse gate (so one that would hinge on the left rather than the right). Geoff came out again in his own time to make that change for us for free, something he did not have to do. In addition, while he was working around the pool he made some very helpful safety suggestions (our pool filters, which have since been replaced with much better ones that little fingers won't get trapped in for example). I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Geoff to anyone. I have friends with self-installed pool fences and the quality difference is night and day. Polite, professional and very thorough.

My wife called for an estimate for 38 - 39 feet of fencing and was quoted $392.00 by Geoff. This was the least expensive estimate we received and, since the gate would not be used often, we felt that this would be sufficient for our needs. I did my research on the various types of poles and fencing material, and although this company's product wasn't the Cadillac, we decided to go with Geoff for the above reasons. Before giving him the final OK to start, Geoff explained the product and quoted $13.50 per foot. Since we had had a pool fence years ago, I wasn't really paying much attention as they don't seem to have changed much, if at all. A final price was never quoted, but hey, we had the phone estimate, right? When Geoff was finished, the bill was $513 (plus tax). That's about 30% more than he quoted. When questioned about it his reply was "Whaaaaaaaaat?" Okay, so the original quote would have been for 29 feet of fencing instead of 38 to 39 feet. I can't say for sure how the mix-up occurred except that he heard wrong or my wife said 28 to 29 feet. 29 feet would come out to $392. Either way, for the price we paid I could've almost had a Cadillac. I am trying to be as fair as I can be here so I will add that, since the final price was in line with other quotes we had received, I don't think that we were deliberately getting ripped off. However, I can't stop thinking that we may have received a low quote just so we would have him come out. Geoff seems like a decent guy and I hope that is not the case. 3/31/15 update: I left Geoff a message a few weeks ago to ask him to please contact me so that we could set up a time for him to come back and drill a couple of holes for a pass-through in the fence that he had forgotten to do. He never did call me back so I called him again. This time he answered and I again explained the situation. He told me that since it was nearly a year since the job had been done that it would cost $100.00. As stated in my previous review, the fence would not be used often. This is because it only needs to be up when my grandson is here and he only just started walking a while ago so no need for the fence since. That being the case, we did not realize that two holes were not drilled. Geoff stated that at the time of installation he asked if everything was satisfactory.. Well, it looked alright. Am I really expected to notice two holes not drilled for the poles when the pass-through is open? So then he tells me that there is normally only one pass-through. That's why no holes were drilled for the other opening. Well if it looks like a duck and acts like a duck, isn't it a duck? Not according to Geoff. Then he tells me he wouldn't be able to come out until October. I guess he's too busy being such a wonderful guy until then. So to summarize, Geoff wants $100.00 to drill two holes in a pass-through that isn't a pass-through, and not until October. I feel that the holes should have been drilled in the first place and since they weren't, come back and finish the job properly.

Geoff is extremely courteous and helpful. He does what he says he will do and says what he means. At all times he is professional. His work is neat and well done. He attends to the details. He educates the consumer about he product and what the next steps in the process are. As the intermediary between Mr. Dawson and the family who ultimately was the beneficiary of his expertise and the services and products he provides, I found working with Geoff to be a pleasant and positive experience. It took quite a while (months) for the final plans to be approved by the family, but when it was, Geoff was right on it and completed the work quickly and competently. He followed up and visited afterward, several times, to make certain every thing functioned well and the family was very happy. He is also very honest. While completing the work, he found a piece of jewelry in between the pavers the family thought irretrievably lost. He made certain they had the item returned. While I am not at liberty to discuss pricing, from my perspective, the job was priced reasonably compared to other vendors who bid for the job. Truly, though, it was Geoff's warm and gracious attitude and willingness to do whatever he needed to do to make the customer happy that makes all the difference in the world. He is not one of those businesses that are here today and gone tomorrow with your money and he is highly recommended by the best organization in the country for pool safety.

I was so thrilled with Geoff's work. He walked us through all the options, educated us on a few items, and helped us make the right decision for our family. He also provided us a lot of additional safety tips. As parents of a toddler, we wanted someone with a safety- first mindset and could not have been more pleased. Geoff arrived first thing in the morning and was done by mid morning.

We called Geoff to install a childproof gate around our pool. He was extremely courteous and professional. He came out in the morning on Easter Sunday to give us a quote which I thought was extremely good service. The next week he was there to do the installation. It was quick, easy, and reasonably priced. We would definitely recommend The Pool Safety Resource.

We had recently bought a house that did not have a pool fence. Geoff came out and gave us a couple of layout options and prices. Geoff was very easy to work with and reliable. After deciding to move forward, Geoff came a few days later and installed our new pool fence. It looks great and makes feel safe around the pool with two small children. I would highly reccomend Geoff for any pool fence needs.

Bryan came to our home and we discussed how to layout the fence so we would have flexibility. He returned a second day to start the installation. He returned a third day to provide extra foundation work and check the alignment.

Geoff was very understanding and came out right away to give us an estimate. He is not just a gentlemen that install fences; he is a pool safety expert. He gave valuabe information about keeping our kids safe. He installed our pool safety fence the day before we moved in and not only is it strong and secure but it looks great! We have 3 boys and wanted to make sure that they would not be able to climb over or under or otherwise outsmart the fence. We opted for an automatic closing gate, which costs more but is well worth it. Geoff was professional, friendly and completed the job in a timely manner. I would highly recommend his service.

Geoff was fantastic to work with. We wanted the fence installed before moving into our home and Geoff agreed with that mindset and did everything possible to make it happen. He came for an estimate on a Sunday morning and showed me the different types of fencing available, where he would run the fence and the gate options. He then came back on Monday to do a chalk line of where the fence would be installed and get my approval. Finally, he installed the fence on Tuesday. The fence looks great. Geoff sells a type of gate that is a little more costly than other options on the market, but seems safer and easier to use so we went ahead and chose to install the gate also, which added to the price. Geoff offered to come back to the house after the install if needed, but we declined, because everything looked perfect. Geoff left zero mess behind and did a professional job. Would recommend him to anyone.

Geoff Dawson cares passionately about swimming pool safety. We got his name from a free seminar he held at our child's day care facility. He was prompt and courteous both during the consultation and the installation. I was a little dubious that other companies don't seem to want to sell self closing gates but we are happy we took Geoff's advice. Its so easy getting in and out of the pool area and the gate secures itself every time. We compared Guardian pool fence to other offers and found it to be the most "transparent/" We can see our pool area and keep an eye on the kids from the patio.
