We spent well over an hour with the person who came to our house to measure. He was very pleasant and seemed quite competent, but what we received by way of drawing for the remodel reflected NOTHING that we had talked about and had a mile-high price tag. The company later had me come to the office and discuss and even did some additional drawings. However, when I questioned some choices in spaces I knew were tight, I was told that the measures done previously were not of a accuracy level necessary to make some decisions where space was tight. I had thought that was the point! I think that the people and the company are probably very good, but they should not issue this "Deal" as it is a source of frustration. My advice to others is to be sure you understand what you will be getting, because you do not receive the measurements, nor can you make decisions based on what you do get.

They did not do any work for me. I did give them a $5000 deposit but then I did not hear from them for a month, and I was able to get the deposit back. The thing is, they were very nice people, they were just overwhelmed. I got real nervous when they were very attentive until they got my check and then I heard nothing. I would say the experience was generally positive until they just left me hanging. They had a fairly sizable deposit of mine and I didn't hear from them for 30 days.

The service went very well. It took a couple of weeks to schedule, and then they came out. Then, it took a couple of weeks for them to finish up, and we went to their office and met with them. There were no additional charges to the $50 big deal I purchased. They were very responsive and knowledgeable. They were just overall a good company to deal with. There were no surprises. It was just an overall good experience. I would say their price was average. They were on par with all the other quotes we got.

A representative came on August 14th and said it would take about 2 weeks to get the 3D drawing. I called on August 28th to check on the process and was told I would hear in a couple of days. It is Sept 16th and I still have not heard back. It would be one thing if I were waiting for a free estimate, but I paid for this service.

My father had passed away after I spoke with them and have been dealing with that. I no longer had access to the house that we discussed. I called a few times and never received a response. When I called again over a month ago and was told the person I needed to talk with was on vacation. I was guaranteed he would call me the following Monday. I am still waiting! I contacted Angie's List and filled out the paper work for the refund. They said it would not be a problem. I had not heard from them so I contacted them again (Angie's List) after it was past the most amount of time it would take had passed. They called me an said the company the company had marked this as the service having been performed! As I had stated, there was never anything finalized and certainly no service performed. We are talking about either the company and/or Angie's List is not doing what should be done. This is a $9999.99 (just one cent short of ten thousand $) deal that it looks like I may have to hire a lawyer to handle this. I will post the outcome.

In response to a Big Deal, they came out promptly to look at the kitchen remodeling I wanted and promised an estimate in two to three weeks. However, I did not receive the promised estimate in over six weeks so I contacted them to ask why they had not followed-through. I immediately received the estimate, but the drawing they provided was incorrect in so many ways that I had to write back to ask them to change the inaccuracies and send another estimate. Once again, I did not hear from them for many weeks until I wrote again asking for the revised estimate. They made the corrections and sent me an estimate, which I thought was on the high side compared to others I had received in the meantime. Given their poor level of responsiveness and secondarily the price, I chose not to work with them. Though they did not say this, I had the impression that the job I was asking them to do was too small for them to put on the top of their list, which, in my mind does not excuse their lack of professionalism and I certainly would not recommend them.

After receiving initial contact, we had to wait a few days to schedule an appointment. Once we contacted them, they were quick to get things rolling. We scheduled an appointment with Tom on 7/26/2013 at 3PM. Tom called ahead and arrived early than expected at 2:30PM. We discussed what we wanted done with the space and listened to his suggestions and recommendations. After measuring he left, and assured us that we would hear from them in about 2 weeks, and that we would receive multiple proposals containing the options that were discussed to show the cost of different modifications. It's been a month, and to date we haven't heard back from Tom, or anyone from Superior Craftsman.

They weren't going to be able to do this job in the time frame that we needed. They were very nice. They were very honest about it, instead of leaving us hanging! We got a refund through Angie's List for this Big Deal.

We went with another company.

Tom did email me the estimate and I was very surprised. It was $9000.00 plus. I felt like if I had the money to take advantage of his services I would definitely do so.

I'm upset the company never responded to my phone calls.

It turned out fine. We ultimately went with another contractor but not because of anything negative but we just felt better with the other contractor.

It went very well, except for making appointments for plumber and granite counter installers.

He responded immediately, and was there for about 3 hours measuring. We are very pleased. So far, so good.

The last week of February 2013 I experienced a broken water line in my kitchen. Once I found a plumber who would work on the weekend, the leak was assessed and eventually ended up having to re-plumb the house. The insurance adjustor came out and did their assessment of the damage and I learned that all of my tile floors would need to be replaced as they were contiguous (kitchen, laundry room, breakfast area, family room, hallway and bathroom). Carpet in an adjacent bedroom needed to be replaced as well. In the kitchen a base cabinet needed to be replaced and I was told the rest of the cabinets needed to be refaced in order to match the new base cabinet. To have this work done I was given a check for $10k. Since I had never had to deal with anything like this I was shocked to learn it was up to me to coordinate my repairs. Not knowing who to use, I joined Angie?s List in order to find out who to avoid and who would do a good job. After reviewing the rating and comments for a number of contractors, I selected Superior Craftsman because of their A rating as well as the comments from others who have used them. Another reason for selecting Superior Craftsman was that their employee, Kevin McCreight, was a certified licensed insurance adjustor and had assisted others in dealing with their insurance company. I explained my situation to Kevin and arranged for him to come to my home on a Saturday to review the damage. When he arrived, I showed him the estimate that I had been given and Kevin immediately said that he wanted to re-measure everything. Sure enough, the original adjustor had not captured all areas and had inaccurate measurements. Kevin sent in his assessment and true to his word, he worked with my insurance company keeping me informed every step of the way. Not evening knowing if we would be able to increase the amount the insurance company would pay, Kevin had me selecting tile, carpet and cabinet styles. I then learned that Kevin?s estimate resulted in an additional $10k. Although I signed the contract with Superior Craftsman 03/24/13, they were not able to start on my project until the 1st week of June due to the delay with my insurance company and getting the materials in. Owner Tony Monto had told me that once the material came in the job would be completed within 4-6 weeks. True to his word they finished the job within that time. To summarize my experience, the following are the reasons why I would use Superior Craftsman again and also encourage others to use them as well: · > Very professional every step of the way. At no time did I ever feel pressured or "silly" for asking the questions that I had. I knew from the beginning that work would start once all of the materials were "in". In doing this they were able to move on to the next phase once the current one was completed with minimal delays. > Having Kevin to work on my behalf with the insurance company is worth it's weight in gold! Without his knowledge and ability to represent the damage and needed replacement costs to the insurance company I would have accepted the $10k and not have gotten the results I have. > Kept me informed. I knew when and what to expect what work was being done. Tony stopped by on a regular basis to see the progress and talk with me about the job. If there was a question, he immediately checked with me to ensure it was what I wanted. > I especially appreciated that Tony and his employees did as much as they could to avoid any inconveniences. This included making sure that my 2 dogs did not escape when doors were open. They were also very patient and helpful with my elderly mother who lives with and could be difficult at times. It wasn't until the end of the job that I learned that Tony was the owner of Superior Craftsman. This said a lot about the ownership he has with his business, quality and customer satisfaction.

Excellent service in regard to promptness, knowledge, and professionalism. Unfortunately, the price of the remodel was exorbitant!

They came out on time and was very professional. He took the measurements and took them over to someone else and then they sent me an e-mail with the quote which was pretty high.

These guys are amazing. We purchased a 1950s fixer upper that needed a lot of fixing because it had been seriously neglected for years (it was a short sale that took us 10 months to purchase, but had not been maintained for a long time before then). The bathrooms had all original tiling, complete with retro pink and yellow toilets. And believe me, it wasn't the good retro. The master bath was in really bad shape with peeling paint, cracking plaster and nice musty smell. The kitchen had old school wood cabinets with soffits and a wall to the dining area making feel really small and closed off, even though the size isn't that bad. Not to mention the refrigerator that crammed in next to the stove and literally gauging the stove door - I don't know how they got it in there in the first place. Kevin, Tony, Tom, and the whole crew are true professionals and really went above and beyond to make our house into a real home. We used a renovation loan that required approval of all work (micro managed) through our bank and Kevin and Tom worked with them to ensure they were happy while staying within our budget (initially the quote was higher than we wanted to go, but Kevin helped us make some adjustments that didn't affect the design at all and we couldn't be happier with the results. Tony was our go to guy for all on the job questions, concerns, and scheduling. They stayed on time and on budget and got the job done great. We even added on a ton of little jobs and they were happy to meet our needs all along they way -- even went above and beyond to make sure everything they did was done right. The house seriously looks beautiful and we couldn't be happier. We've already recommended them to some friends and colleagues and will continue to do so.

That did not workout so well. Superior Craftsman INC came out and took a look at the bathroom and I thought had taken my input but the sketches that were provided back to me didn't reflect any of my inputs so we canceled that one and got our money back through Angie's List. We were pleased with how Angie's list handled that for us but disappointed in the service provider themselves. The big deal was, I think we paid 50 bucks for them to come out and look and give us a design and then there would have been a discount on the actual construction work which we just decided not to go forward with. They were pretty responsive.

Very well. Tony and Kevin made it easy every step pf the way. They started and completed the job when they said they would and statyed true to budget! THey were always timely and responsive to our requests. Design Phase- They were very helpful during the design process as my wife and I were unsure of exactly what we wanted. They helped us to coordinate all our colors from tile to granite to cabinets. Their suggestion to use under and over cabintet lighting makes the kitchen spectacular in the evening hours. Work Phase - Let's not forget Al the cabinet and "make anything else you may fine perfect" guy. They handled obstacles that only appear after the job has started, in fair and thoughtful manor. For instance,our early 60's homedid not have vening to the outside to sccomodate the rane hood we selected. THey quickly brought in a roofer ot properly install avent for our hood to connect too at a very fair cost. All in all we are very happy with out new kitchen and the process to get it whwere it is today. We are planning a bathroom remodel and we will be calling Superior Craftsman.

Superior Craftsman worked with us to settle on an appropriate design for our master bathroom remodel. They were very responsive and professional to deal with. They provided a credible itemized quote/estimate. We would have been comfortable in using them to do the work. We ended up using another Angie's List contractor that was also well-regarded that we liked better.

Superior Craftsman came out to assess our remodel wants and needs. They took measurements and said the full 3D design plan would take about 2 weeks. When the design plan was completed, we went to their showroom to see the plan and materials that would be used. The plan includes a 2D overhead design and 3D mock-ups of the new cabinetry. It's a great design and the materials they use are all American made and high quality. Our bathroom is about 200 square feet, 4 piece (bath and shower are separate), dual sinks. The price for Superior Craftsman to implement the plan is $17,000 and includes floor, shower tile, cabinetry and granite countertop options which could be upgraded at additional cost. It does not include faucets and lighting but does include the labor to install the faucets and lighting. Everyone at Superior Craftsman was very professional and knowledgeable. I have no doubt they will do an excellent job with the bathroom. We have not, yet, hired them to do the work.

We never got a phone call to set up an appointment. Later on I heard from someone that had used them in the past that they were very busy. They must not need the business!

Superior Craftsman INC sent the blueprints but never followed up with a phone call to see if we wanted it. He never did anything about the kitchen, which we have remodeled since then so we don't need his documents. We paid up front for what he submitted to us. If he follows up we would probably use him again.

Purchased design work. Work was done in a reasonable amount of time. However, this company offered a "Big Deal" for a complete kitchen remodel for a single price of $5K. When I asked if my kitchen would qualify as it looked very similar in size and layout from the promotional picture, I was quoted that they could do the design and complete the kitchen for an additional $20K. Felt very bait and switch. Then, they ran another Big Deal offer this time for approximately $10K. The second time we saw the deal come through I called the office to ask if we could purchase that deal and see what/if any difference there would be for any additional square footage. I never heard back from Tony. I did reach Kevin and he promised he would look at my drawings from before but he never called me back. I was willing to give them $10K ++ but they never responded. Makes me leary of this company and their "Angie's List Big Deals" I would not recommend to anyone that they buy a Big Deal from this company as the measurements they quote in the deal do NOT reflect what you see in the images for the promo and further, you will more than likely have to pay more than the big deal price. Buyer beware. Nice guys. Just really disappointed that they never responded as they promised they would.
