Description of Work: I'd purchased 3 coupons at 200 each. I called to redeem, and the man on the phone was pleasant and professional. He told me his associate would return my call ASAP, but was currently in another job. I never got a response. I called back a month later, and spoke to the same man on the phone. He apologized, and explained that they were a bit bogged down, due to the overwhelming response to their special, and that I would definitely receive a callback soon to arrange for a consultation. I got a call 3 days later, but was back on the road by then for work. I tried one more time, upon my return, and the call response turn around was, once again, to slow to be of any use. By the time I was back in town again, the coupons had expired and I was out $600. I know that it must be difficult to give up work, but I wish that if their work to manpower ratio had grown beyond their professional capabilities, they would've been upfront about it and offered a refund.

It would take a long time and much writing to say enough good things about this company. I now have a newly remodeled, beautiful kitchen and LOVE cooking again! Tony and company remained true to their word and insisted on perfection. They corrected things I didn't even notice! I highly recommend Superior Craftsman :-)

We met with Tony and Kevin after finding Superior Craftsman on Angies list. They came out to measure the bathroom and to discuss what we wanted with us immediately after we contacted them. They gave us an estimate and some ideas on who/where we should go to pick out our tile and granite. We were new to the area so really appreciated that guidance. They were extremely patient as we went back and forth attempting to make up our minds on what colors/products we wanted.Once we finally made our decisions they worked with the vendors we selected to confirm measurements etc. They even went as far as to pick up the tile when it arrived (We chose a special order tile) so we didn't have to make a special trip. Once all the special order items arrived we scheduled a date with Tony for the project to begin. They arrived exactly when they said they would and immediately got to work. I don't remember all of the names of the crew but have to state that ALL of them were extremely professional and VERY conscientious of customer service. The job was completed ON TIME, ON BUDGET and they left the area cleaner than they found it. All in all, I heartily recommend Superior Craftsman! I certainly know who we will be calling when we need another remodel done.
Description of Work: We wanted our boring master bathroom upgraded. We wanted to install a new Granite countertop, new lights, mirrors and a glass tile/travertine tile surround. We also wanted a new color and a new ceiling exhaust fan installed.

I contacted Tony Monto from Superior when I became concerned that the old tub enclosure was a health hazard getting into to take a shower. He came out and looked over the bathroom area to be redone. I received an e-mailed estimate that was detaled and very reasonable in price. Tony returned with tile examples and I picked out the type I wanted and an appointment was made to do the job. The guys from Superior came into my house and took out the old tub enclosure and old floor tile. The plumber from Smith Plumbing came out and moved the drain and moved the hot and cold water pipes to the other side of the what would be the new shower area. Paul from Tile Design came up with the idea of doing a diamond pattern in the wall of the shower area and repeating a diamond pattern in the floor. Al and Bob did the paint work and the baseboard and trim around the door. after I picked out the color of the grout which matches very well with the tile Paul and Kyle finished the bath and floor. The plumber put in the new fixtures and Al and Bob made sure the new toilet and glass shower doors compledd the new bathroom. they cleaned up all the mess from instillation and made sure I was happy with the compleated job. WOW A BATHROOM TO SHOW OFF. I am very happy with the job they did and have asked Superior Craftsman to do other jobs for me and I will recommed Superior to others.
Description of Work: The guys from Superior came into my house and removed the old tub and shower unit and the floor tile in the bathroom. They measured for the baseboards and the area around the door. Tony Monto lead the crew which included Al George, Bob Mcilvain, the plumbers from Steve Smith Plumbing and Paul and Kyle from Tile Design who created a tile walk in shower compleate the a repeated pattern in the new ceremic tile floor. They painted the bathroom the color I requested and put in a new toilet. They did the job in a timely manner and made sure that they removed all old materials and cleaned up after the job was done. We moved into our home in 2004 with the intent to immediately remodel the 1960's looking original kitchen. This kitchen was very small, outdated and barely functional even though the rest of the home had been updated prior to our purchase. My husband and I both dreaded the thought of construction in this crucial part of our home, so we procrastinated for six years. What a mistake! Superior Craftsman came in and gave us a reasonable estimate and then got to work. They helped us isolate the construction area by building a temporary wall between it and the rest of the house. This made the project so much easier for us to live through! I work from home so was worried about the noise and chaos while the team worked. The wall cut down on noise, dust and dirt in our living area. The team was also extremely conscientious about cleaning and tidying everything in the construction area before leaving every day. The crew was so friendly and easy to have around that we actually missed them when the project was over! I don't know many people who can say that after having major construction done in their homes. Neither my husband or I had experience remodeling a kitchen so relied on the Superior Craftsman team to advise us on design to make sure it was both a beautiful room and functional. Now, I appreciate their suggestions every day while I cook because of the convenience they built into the design. Everything is at my finger tips and I've grown to really enjoy cooking! We get so many compliments on the beauty of our kitchen from guests. We're very proud of our home and highly recommend Superior Craftsman to anyone looking to do a major remodeling project.
Description of Work: The kitchen and mud room were both completely torn out down to the studs and combined into one larger kitchen area. The electrical system was rewired, walls plastered, new floors, ceiling, cabinets, a huge island, granite counter tops and lighting. We also had our carport enclosed to make a single stall garage. This was a major remodeling project for us and our first! The experience was a good one thanks to the professionalism and experience of the Superior Craftsman team.

Superior Craftsman did an amazing job for us! The back half of our kitchen was inefficient and underutilized, and I had wanted to remodel it for years. Kevin patiently worked with us to create a simple yet elegant design that both maximized the space and matched the existing cabinetry. The finished kitchen is beautiful! The work was expertly done, there was never any mess or hassle with anyone working in the house, timelines were strictly adhered to, and they overall experience was extremely positive. Every person I dealt with, from Tony to the gentleman who put up the moulding, was polite, knowledgeable, and professional. My only regret was that I used a separate granite company that failed to delivery in a timely and professional manner. The frustration I experienced far outweighed the small amount of money I saved. I highly recommend Superior Craftsman, and I will be using them again!
Description of Work: They gutted the back half of the existing kitchen and installed new cabinets and a pantry, effectively doubling our kitchen.

We initially met with Tony who came to inspect the bathroom and get an idea on what we wanted accomplished. The bathroom needed to be retro-fitted to accomodate an elderly person who could not use the existing tub due to the high stepover. Tony took lots of notes and asked questions to make sure he had an accurate description of the job. We were subsequently sent a formal proposal that described in detail the work to be performed as well as a diagram with the dimensions of the items in the room as well as a rendered drawing of what the finalized room would look like. I called Kevin to say we were very pleased with their proposal but was there any way we could save some money on the project. They were able to find a better source for the ceramic tile than what was originally planned for at a lower cost overall. Our next meeting was with Tony and Kevin to sign the contract. Also present was my wife's 88 year old mother who will be using this bathroom. They were very patient and answered all our questions. We felt assured we had made the right decision. Work began on March 26th with Bob McIlvain being project supervisor. Bob did quite a bit of the work as well as supervised the other workers involved including the plumber, the painter, the tile installer, and the glass door people. The project went very well and was finished on April 17th. Keep in mind we went on vacation for a week during the project that had already been planned prior to the start of the job. At the very end, there were a couple of minor problems. Tony came out late one evening to inspect the bathroom. He agreed the problems should be fixed. Bob came back out and fixed all the issues to our complete satisfaction. Overall, I would highly recommend Superior Craftsman to anyone who is looking for a quality result. The bathroom looks like a million dollars and the net result looks like we spent a whole lot more than we did. Initially, having just moved to Florida and not having any knowledge of who we should use, we relied heavily on Angie's List to find a contractor. Fortunately, Superior Craftsman exceeded our expectations and then some. The only downside is that now our master bath looks pretty dated in comparison. We have already decided Superior Craftsman will be doing the remodel there as well.
Description of Work: We contracted to have the tub pulled out of our second bathroom and replace it with a new walk-in shower. We also had a new vanity installed with a new sink and faucet as well as a new comfort height toilet. This required them to tear out the existing tub and ceramic tile that was there. They also moved the plumbing controls from the left hand side to the right hand side for easier access by an elderly person who will be using this bathroom. The drain also had to be moved to a center location on the floor to facilitate the use of a shower for proper drainage. They installed new Dura Rock on the walls as the existing walls were just regular 2x4's, not even green board. They installed new ceramic tile on both the walls and floor of the shower. The shower was expanded in depth to give us more room. This required moving the toilet over and replacing some of the ceramic tile on the floor. We had extra tile to match the existing floor. The also installed a new vanity and a new cultured marble top with an integrated bowl. The shower step and window sill were also installed with matching cultured marble to match the new sink. They installed a new custom glass enclosure with a custom 30" door, optional rain glass, and a towel bar. We also had two grab bars installed in the shower for safety purposes. The shower head also has a slide bar with a hand held shower head for ease of use. The walls and ceiling were painted a color of our choice.

I contacted Superior Craftsman in January, and Tony promptly came out to look at my bathroom. I plan to do a complete remodel of an old bathroom. It would encompass demolition of the whole room, relocating a toilet, and adding another sink and a new shower. He seemed very competent and interested in the job, but never called me back. I called in February, and Tony said he would get back to me the following week. When he didn't, I called again. I assumed that they were in the middle of other jobs, and that was why they couldn't get back to me. I noticed this morning that they put their Angie's 'big deal' ad up again for the complete kitchen remodel, so I guess they aren't too busy. Apparently they aren't interested in remodeling my bathroom, but it would have been courteous to call and say so. Needless to say, after a month of not getting back to me, I didn't plan on working with them anyway. It's difficult enough to get contractors to stay focused without starting out on the wrong foot.

This was an Angie's List "special" and definitely lived up to or surpassed my expectations. I can't say enough about how professional and FAST these fellows were. They brought a 1961 kitchen into the 21st century in only 8 days. Ken (Good Faith, to whom the major part of the work was contracted) was amazing. What I thought would be a long and difficult transition was short and sweet. I can't wait to see what they do with my bathrooms!
Description of Work: Completely dismantle the kitchen, install new lighting, cabinets, counter tops, back splash, sink, faucet, and flooring, install, but not provide, all new appliances. There was some electrical and plumbing that needed to be modified and because of the poor condition of the walls they needed special treatment, It was a "soup to nuts" kitchen remodel.

Tony and his craftsmen are highly reliable, artistic, reasonable and above all honest! The workmanship that went into our kitchen remodel was amazing They helped us choose colors, cabinets, fixtures and finished material for our kitchen. They did a great job of minimizing the dust and disruptions during the remodel. Their work was very meticulous and the attention to details far exceeded our expectations. Tony and his crew were polite, on time and organized. We highly recommend this company for any remodeling and additions you might need.

VERY DISSAPOINTED and VERY UNRELIABLE!I contacted Tony for a complete kitchen and two bathroom renovations. Our first meeting went well when we explained our needs. We met a second time to go over drawings which were exactly what we were looking for. After that Tony completely ignored my phone calls and would not call me back. I made several attempts to get in touch with him so we can move forward with this project and not a word was received from him.I live out of town and made two trips for our meetings and it took approximately two weeks to get to the point where we were...a complete waste of my time and then I had to start over searching and meeting with another company.

Tony was awesome in explaining our kitchen renovation options while respecting our target budget. He went above and beyond in meeting our every need, even if it meant driving to the other side of town and back just to show a door sample finish we might be interested in. Once the options were chosen it was great for Tony to be able to present to us large renderings of our 'finished' kitchen in 3D as viewed from many different angles. This is in keeping with the times and is instrumental in really creating that mental picture of what your finished kitchen will feel like while bringing together the form and function of it all. Crews arrived timely and worked nonstop, I was amazed that the entire kitchen electrical wiring service could be performed in only two days. When the cabinets arrived things really start happening fast, superior craftsman carpenter 'AL' is an artist when it comes to perfect cuts, cabinet setting and install. Installing that heavy granite went on without a hiccup, attention to detail in the finish of cleaning and sealing was very good. Tony was there every step of the way, insuring work was done to standard and keeping to schedule. Tony also is very knowledgeable in his trade so if there comes time to where you're just not sure what or how to do something, he will offer suggestions that will meet your needs and taste. Especially important he oversees the final walk though to insure the quality of the finish is up to your standards and corrects anything you point your finger at. We love our kitchen and we always get huge compliments on it, I love to cook so I'm in it every day and enjoy it very much!
Description of Work: Choose and design kitchen cabinet layout and function with regard to wood finish, draw/door functions (i.e. quiet close), crown molding, even bumped and staggered design. Picked knobs, handles, fixture and plumbing locations and options. Install backsplash travertine/marble tile and mosaics, under cabinet lighting, plumbing for pot filler, gas line for stove top, outlets for appliances, Choose granite for counter tops from the dealer's farm, create layout for counter tops, install, seal and polish.

I took advantage of an "Angie's Deal" and contacted Superior Craftsman for a free kitchen design. I have to say that when I first opened the door for Tony and Joe, they did not at all meet my expectations of what an interior designer would look like but when they came in and went to work - WOW!! My wife wasn't home at the time but they pretty much nailed all of her desires. The 1980's spindle wall had to go, soffit had to go, move the range to another wall, etc. Very good first impression! And it only got better from there! When they came back for final measurements and to discuss our options they had many ideas that we hadn't though of and were also open to our requests and, when appropriate, explained very clearly why they wouldn't be a good idea. They are VERY easy to work with. The showroom in Apopka is huge with many, many samples of cabinetry, accessories, counter tops, fixtures, etc. When it came time to look at the bottom line and sign papers my wife and I almost peed our pants when we saw the price! We had had 2 or 3 estimates just to resurface our existing cabinets and put in a new counter top and Superior's estimate for new, all wood cabinets was lower than two of them! Superior Craftsman has worked with 3 (I believe) subcontractors for many years and they coordinated the demolition remodel very well. They even worked in our house while we were out of town for a week for Thanksgiving. The subs are experienced, highly skilled professionals and take great pride in their work and all were truly committed to our complete satisfaction. We are planning bathroom remodels later this year and will definitely contact them again. I do not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Tony and Kevin and the professional way that Superior Craftsman operates. Before I called them, I had two or three other contractors out to look over the bathroom and provide estimates. One company never provided an estimate at all, another took three weeks and multiple trips and finally came back with a modest estimate and a written description. In contrast, Kevin and Tony returned with carefully drawn plans, a complete description, and two different estimates for two different options, within a week. When our original financing plans didn't work out and we decided we couldn't manage the remodel at all, Kevin offered to redesign to fit our new budget. He came back only a few days later with the new plans and an estimate that fit our reduced budget. Due to our vacation timing and another job they were working on, our remodel got started a bit later than we had originally anticipated, but when they set the start date, they stuck to it. They were here and started to work the day they said they'd be here. Upon knocking out the old shower, they discovered considerable water damage and mold (previous builder had used NO waterproofing techniques at ALL - no liner, no green board, nothing). While cleaning this up and drying it out took time, it did not cost us one extra cent! I am fairly certain that our new shower is now the most sound room in the house (that's where I'm going in the next storm). The counter tops and cabinets they installed are high-quality...the kind where the drawers shut slowly and tightly, roll out smoothly. We have a linen closet where we used to have an unusable block of drywall and tile (you'd have to see the before/after pictures to conceive of this oddity). The tile floor is lovely and professionally done. The wall between the bedroom and the bathroom looks as if it has always been there - you can't even see where it joined the old wall at all. They went to great pains to match the door exactly to the door of the bedroom itself, even mixing different stains together to find the right color. Tony wasn't happy with the match after the first two coats and came back to give it a third coat. The new lighting and new GFCIs make the entire room bright and functional (before, I had to nearly crawl across the countertop to reach the single, awkwardly placed outlet). Everything works - the toilet, sink, faucets, shower, etcetera... We did have one minor glitch (it wouldn't be a good story, otherwise). Something must have blocked one of the sewer pipes, which caused an unpleasant back up of the toilet into the shower...ick. However, we called Tony and he came over, at night, to check it out. The plumber arrived the next day and cleared up the problem (no additional cost to us). Lastly, the custom-made shower door and glass panel was installed, the final step. I took a shower in my new shower today - complete bliss. There is only one problem: my bathroom looks so nice that it makes the rest of my house seem pathetic. I'm saving up for the next remodel, already...
Description of Work: Complete Remodel of Master Bathroom: They removed the old bathtub, sink, toilet, cabinets, and knocked out old shower, walls and all. They removed old tiles, flooring, drywall, etc. Then, the real work began. They installed new cabinets, a new sink, and new vanity. A linen closet was built (we used to have a single shelf for towels...). They replaced the flooring with beautiful tiles, rebuilt the shower, using concrete board and green board, tiles. They installed new toilet, fixtures, lighting. They redid the electrical, providing some recessed lighting, new GFCI outlets, and a new exhaust fan/light. MOST importantly, they added a wall and a door to separate my bathroom from the bedroom (there was no division at all, before...can't really explain that!).

When I bought my place 11 years ago I knew I needed to renovate the guest bathroom. I had never taken on a renovation project before and was very nervous about it. We have all heard the horror stories of contractors not following though with their promises. Tony and Kevin from Superior Craftsman delivered everything and more that they promised. The gentleman that completed my renovation worked neatly and efficiently. Tony made sure to supervise the progress daily. I plan to use Superior Craftsman to renovate my kitchen as soon as a replenish my funds!!!! I highly recommend them to others looking to complete home renovation projects.

Superior Craftsman is an apt name for this group. My kitchen went from dungeon to updated open work area. The price was reasonable and the craftsmanship was superior. It was done in the time quoted with no corners cut. Tony and Kevin have an awesome team in Good Faith Inc. Ken Faith was able to bring my kitchen into the 21st century with the Mid-Continent Cabinetry TM; I could not be more pleased. I highly recommend them to everyone I see.

In late 2009, I began exploring options for updating our kitchen. Initially, I considered re-facing cabinets and changing the layout; however, I found due to the size of the kitchen, changing the layout was not an option and re-facing cabinets was expensive and really didn't provide the end results I was looking for. So, I contact two reputable kitchen design companies for ideas and quotes. In looking of a third quote, I reached out to a friend whose husband used to be in the kitchen cabinet business. Turned out he worked for Superior Craftsman. All the designers were very talented and produced excellent designs. One company was priced well over my budget and the other two, Superior Craftsman being one, were within a few hundred dollars of each other. I probably could have gone with either company but the personal recommendation from my friend helped me decide to work with Tony and Kevin from Superior Craftsman. So the work began. My husband and I decided on a total remodel - removing soffits, all new cabinets, rearranging appliances, etc. I was excited and apprehensive at the same time - we've never undertaken such a large project. Looking back, I am so thankful we chose Superior Craftsman to do the work. Tony, Kevin and their contractors, Ken and Al, are absolutely the nicest people I could have worked with. Their workmanship is truly SUPERIOR. I feel like they are more friends that workmen - we (including our puppies) looked forward to seeing the guys show up to work. One thing that is very important to me, is having contractors show up when they tell me they will. In the case of Superior Craftsman, I never experienced a no-show or late arrival. Ken and Al were always at my home on time when they told me they would be there. Simply the best! As with any large project, there were a couple of snafus along the way. All I had to do was mention the outcome was not exactly what I expected and the issue was taken care of immediately. One problem was a cabinet turned out to be smaller than I had anticipated, I was resigned to live with it - the guys would not hear of it! Next thing I knew, new cabinets were ordered and installed. I can honestly say my new kitchen exceeded my every expectation. I was so happy with our kitchen; I gave Superior Craftsman a call this Spring to update our guest baths. Once again, the project turned our perfect. Our master bath is our next and final project. I've already put in an order for early next year. I can't wait to get started!

I was referred to Tony Monto who owns Superior Craftsman, from a good friend of mine. I could tell from our first meeting that he knew what he was doing. Tony has a lot of experience and boy did he need it with my project! I had over a 30 year old kitchen and baths and it was time to remodel!! Tony took a bunch of measurements and photos and came back with a great new design and samples, and best of all, a plan to make it all come together. The first day they came in to demo the old kitchen, they took their time to place plastic over entrances into other areas of the house to minimize dust. It may seem like a little thing, but it is the attention to detail that really makes a difference in the end. They removed the cabinets, flooring and old drywall opening the walls up for the upgrade in electrical. They were able to bring everything up to code for me, and we had the house replumbed since we had everything opened up. New insulation, wire, and plumbing, and the new drywall was hung, textured and painted, thus ending the first week. Yes, that's right, all that in one week. Week two had the new tile floors installed, new lighting, and by Friday, in went the cabinets. It took two days for the cabinets to go in, but I had a lot of cabinets!! Monday the granite tops were templated, and by Thursday they were installed. Yes, you read that right! Everything done in one day shy of three weeks. Tony not only has experience and a great crew, but he brings a plan to the table. Everyone is on a schedule, everyone knows what is expected of them, what they will need, and when they will be needed. I had a lot of preconceived notions about remodeling, but they have been expelled. What a great job, great price, and great service. Here is my list: New electrical box upgrade from 100 amp service to 200 amp New plumbing through out New tile floors, cabinets, countertops New lighting, drywall, insulation, painting New love for my house!!
Description of Work: I had my kitchen and baths completely remodeled. I selected new floors, new cabinets, and new countertops.
