Not only that I wait two months for a microwave to be installed the first man couldn’t take it out. I had to pay for somebody to come and take it out then they send this guy call Shannon he chipped my cabinet then took pictures at a different angle just to cover his rear Now I have a chip on my cabinets and they tell me to go to Home Depot and get a pencil to cover it because they’re no longer responsible. I will never use Rambs appliance repair, I hope that everybody can see this review so something like this won’t happen again.

This contractor was sent to my house for a refrigerator repair, ice maker and display panel. They were sent by American Home Repair, as I have a house warranty. After a long wait for the first visit which was about 5 minutes, the tech later told AHS that we broke the ice maker, so not covered, and not correct. The tech told us the replacement display was no longer available, which is not correct as I easily found one on line. I called Rambs two days ago and left a message, no call back.

My first contact with Rambs gave me a fair amount of comfort. They were recommended by Sharp appliances and answered the phone. But after being left on hold for 10 minutes I called back, and the rep was very friendly if not absent minded, and booked me a $95 service call for the next week. Aaron the tech texted and called on his way and arrived within the four hour window. We live next to a playground between me and my neighbor, and he whipped in and out of my neighbor’s driveway a little more erratically than I’d like (kids come out of nowhere there), and then parked in front of my mailbox. I had come out to let him know they wouldn’t deliver the mail with his truck there. He snapped back he’d be there 5 minutes, just the thing you want to hear for a $95 visit, and I should have sent him on his way then. The service call was due to half the number buttons on our new Sharp drawer microwave not working, which I now suspect was due to an overzealous cleaning, probably liquid seeping in. Who knows? Nobody, at least anywhere I could find on the internet and definitely NOT Sharp customer support nor Aaron from Rambs Appliances recommended by Sharp. He’d seen lots of problems with this model, but didn’t give a clear answer whether he’d seen this malfunction before. He tapped the buttons, and of course all worked but one. He jotted some notes and told me the panel needs to be replaced on our new microwave that’s only a couple of months out of the 1 year warranty. Indeed, after 5 minutes, he was calling in my credit card for the $95 charge. I asked how the panel is removed in case I want to tackle it myself. He stopped and stared at me, either puzzled or insulted, definitely intense, and asked why I wanted to know. I’ve replaced a lot of appliance parts, but he assured me if I did it myself he couldn’t be responsible. I did not laugh out loud. He offered they might give me the part number if I ask the estimator, and wished me a good day when I thanked him. The next day, after I called to enquire, the estimate came: $250 for the panel plus $135 labor with ESTIMATE ONLY written in green in the middle of the page, indicating to me it could cost more. Of course by the next day the problem fixed itself, presumably because the panel dried out. To their credit, they kindly provided the part number, which anyone but them will replace if it’s ever needed.

This has got to be the WORST company I have ever dealt with. First of the technician that came to my house didn't diagnosis anything, he just took one look at my refrigerator and said it needed a certain part. Didn't take anything loose, didn't look inside or around the refrigerator just took a non educated guess. Then it took Rambs an entire month to order the part at which time I still had to wait a week for then to schedule me an appointment. Then when I called the company Melissa had the worst attitude and begin to curse and yell at my wife. The technician lied twice to get saying that he came to my house but no one was there. This is the worst company. Don't waste your time with them....I'm surprised that they are even in business

Terrible! Scheduling is horrible. Waiting 10 days for parts because company does not carry any parts. Was given a 5 hour window (12 - 5 PM) for the tech to arrive then to have them cancel appointment at 1:30. They text me to tell me they could not come because no one was available. I text them back that I took off of work but they were just sorry. I called the office and received attitude from the Office manager and the owner. I have to wait till Thursday now for another 5 hour window appt and have no choice because they received my money and I cannot get it returned. Do not make my mistake of not checking reviews for this company.

It’s tough to know where to start with Rambs, do I start with all of the scheduling nightmares, or their complete lack of follow-up, or the multiple times they told me our parts were arriving “today”. I didn’t contact Rambs on my own. I was forced into selecting them via an extended warranty I purchased at Lowes for my Samsung dryer. Rambs came out to my home in February to diagnose the dryer, and said that they would order the parts to be received in a “few days”. A week later I called Rambs, after not hearing anything from them, and they said that the parts order had just gone out, and because they were delayed in ordering the parts. They told me the parts should be there in a few days and they would call me to schedule the repair. A week later I called again and couldn't get a "live" person. I left a voicemail, and a week later - after no return call - I called back again. I left another voicemail message, and again, no return call. About a month later I called and got a live person. They told me the parts were received the day before, and as soon as they were "entered into their system", they would call me to schedule the repair. A week later, no call, so I called back again and the cycle continued. Finally, I called Lowes to complain, and Lowes said they would contact Rambs. Lowes called me back and said that Rambs told them the parts actually hadn't been received when I was told they were, but that they were going to have the parts overnighted. Three weeks later, still no follow-up, so I finally gave up. I was waiting on Rambs for two full months, and not only didn't they get anything fixed, they constantly made false promises and hid behind their voicemail inboxes. Rather than stick with Rambs and Lowes, I called another appliance repair company (one that is highly rated on Angie's list). I called this other company on a Monday, and my dryer was fixed on Thursday of that same week. If you are stuck with Rambs because of an extended service contact, I would strongly recommend that you refuse to work with them and make the service company find you a different repair company. You will save yourself a lot of aggravation.

Unfortunately we purchased a summit kegorator 2 years ago and needed a repair. Both the distributor and corporate office of our kegorator said that Rambs was the only license repair facility that was able to work on our appliance in our area. We live in the Seminole county area. Over the last four weeks I have left them 7 voice mails and have yet to get a call back. When you call their main number it states many extensions to try and I have actually left a very specific detailed kind vm on each and every extension they have as an option and not one call back. I do not recommend this company at all. If they don't have the decency to call a customer back that is willing to pay for a service they should not be in business.

Ramb's also known as L&R Is a subcontractor for Lowe's extended warranty. They were assigned by Lowe's repair dispatch to work on our malfunctioning GE refrigerator. In a nutshell, this contractor performed no diagnosis and took 3 months to order the incorrect part. We called a different service company the day after the Ramb's person came to our house and had the correct diagnosis and part installed within 2 days. The technician was very polite and affable however he did not have any GE diagnostic tools or parts on hand and could only guess that the problem was the main board. He came to our house on Friday and said the soonest he could order parts would be Monday. We had a properly equipped technician from another service company on site the next day who connected a computer to the refrigerator to retrieve the error code and ordered the correct part, which was a small fan in the back of the refrigerator. This other technician was correct and the fan corrected the malfunction.

First called 6/25/2014 and they came out 6/27/2014. I was told they needed to order a part and it would be about a week. One week later was the 4th of July so I waited until the following week to call and inquire about the status. was told "they had completed their parts research and would order the parts that day ! Service was then scheduled for July 14th. They called that morning to report that the wrong part had been sent. Came out July 21st and the part they brought did not fix the problem. I called GE and insisted that they ship the required parts priority overnight and they agreed. Called Rambs to ask them to put me on the schedule for tomorrow afternoon and their response was to call when the parts were here and they would schedule me for probably the following morning. The problem with the range is that the touchscreen control panel is totally blank so you cannot select any function rendering it totally useless. We are now approaching a month since the problem arose and Rambs seems indifferent our concerns. The "GE doesn't care" helpline is not much better, buy with caution.
Description of Work: I have a GE electric range, it is under warranty and they selected this provider. After almost a month we still have a totally in-operative range.

They went to the wrong house and said there was nothing wrong. They came the month before and had to order a part. When we called the company 3 hours later wondering where they were, she yelled at my husband because we should have called earlier. We had to wait 3 more days before they could come fix our refrigerator. The owner was very rude and unprofessional.

They did good. They serviced the Bosch machine and that was hard to find. They came out, and checked it out the first time. They were on time. They didn’t take a lot of time; they got to it and found what the problem was. They did a report and came back out. They were on time and they got everything done without any hassles. The price is reasonable. They came twice in the last two weeks. They came on March 29 and a week and a half later for the parts, so the last time was last week. Totally with the replacement parts and service call it was $350.
Description of Work: I used Ramb's Appliance Repair to service the Bosch machine.
