I would highly recommend Mid Florida Roofing, Inc. From start to finish everything was on time and excellent communication throughout the entire job. Bob was very courteous and professional. They did everything they said they would and our roof looks great.

Leaking roof. Responsive to request for service. Reasonable price on quote. They shows and works nonstop into the early evening to get the job done. Cleaned everything up and was gone. I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

Bobby was absolutely amazing helping me navigate a very difficult and long insurance process with the roof. He stayed on top of things, and never hesitated to answer any question or concerns. He always responded extremely fast. I have not seen customer service like this in the many years of having contractors work on my home. Installation crew was great, and had everything clean before leaving. This company takes care of their customers, and it shows.

I liked that I paid separately to the shingle company (received a lean waiver), lumber company (received a lean waiver) and roof labor (received a waiver). They got the permits. Once the schedule was established, everything went like clockwork.

Previous roofing company had put wrong color roofing on my roof and I had been fighting with HOA for almost five years about it. So I finally decided to replace the roof not because I needed a roof but to change the color. So Mid Florida Roofing put an entire new roof with a right color shingles. It was a good price considering that they had to rip the old roof off even though it was a perfect good roof and put a new one on. They were very very knowledgeable, very friendly and very helpful. They went way above because I was on a deadline with the HOA to get this done before they started slapping me with fine and causing me more grief. They went out of their way to fit me into their schedule and get this done. I think that the price was not that much as much as I paid originally for my roof. I was going out of town and I had to drop the dog off at the doggy day care and I was on a tight schedule and he met me there on the dog place for me to sign the papers because they could get the stuff ordered when I was out of town.

On 01.25.13 Mid Florida Roofing began installation of a flat roof. We arranged the roof thru their salesperson, Bobby Skura on 01.21.13 for $3449.10 Work began on Friday, 01.25.13 and roofing crew was unable to complete the work in one day as specified, the were working in the dark with no lights at the end. A Partial crew returned on Saturday, 01.26.13 to complete the new roof. Starting in March of 2013 we noticed wet spots appearing on our plaster ceiling directly below the new roof, these wet spots were in areas we never had water damage before. We contacted Bobby and he dispatched a technician named Bill to a**** the issue. Bill determined that the roof was not properly sealed where the new roof connected to the existing roof and added additional sealant. We continued to experience water damage and contacted Bobby again, this time they sent Jeff to site as Bill was no longer with the company. Jeff also said that the roof needed additional sealant. We repeated this process 3 more times with no success. On 07.31.13 I requested that Bobby meet me on site to look at the issue as he had not been over to actually view the work since 01.28.13 when he picked up the check for final payment. Once he got onto the roof he agreed that there was a problem, roofing was bubbling up, and the installation crew had indeed done a sub standard job with the roof. He left telling me he would contact the owner, Robert Shoemaker, to find out how to proceed and once again assured us that this would be corrected as part of their 5 Year Warranty. A half hour later Bobby called and informed us that Robert said the problem with our roof was due to the existing pitched roof portion which they had not worked on and therefore Mid Florida Roofing was not responsible for the damage caused by the flat roof, it was not under their warranty. I asked Bobby how Robert could determine this over the phone when his own trouble shooters, who had been out here 5 times, along with himself, who just alluded to the fact that it was an installation issue, never mentioned the pitched roof being an issue during any previous trip. I requested to meet Robert in person to discuss but was told he was unavailable. I tried several times to contact Robert by phone, each time going to voice mail. I finally received a text message stating that his team were very experienced and encouraging me to get a second opinion. He would not call to discuss and advised that he was out of town until October 2013. At Roberts suggestion I did get additional opinions from licensed roofing contractors in Orange and Seminole County, FL. Each one independently confirmed that the leaks and water damage were caused poor workmanship and failure by Mid Florida Roofing to follow common, industry standard, Best Practices while installing the flat roof.

we are a member of direct buy. this company was recommended through them. the salesmen Bobby came buy are house and told us repeatedly how nice are home was. they were the only quote we got since we went through direct buy. and there quote seemed very reasonable considering the amount our neighbors spent on a re roof. we agreed on a price and an approximate time the work would start. Bobby told me he has a great crew and he would be here to supervise them. he stated how happy I would be with the finished product since a have such a beautiful house. then the work began. I have to admit we had a lot of rain the week are roof was re done .The roofers worked from around 8:00am till it got too dark. the experience was terrible. one of the workers fell through a sky light and ripped the framing out of the ceiling (yes I said fell through the sky light). also had another sky light broken when I came home from work and saw glass laying on the floor in the master bath. had leaks on my covered back porch witch required employees to come back and do repairs. the area that was repaired does not match the rest of the ceiling. The roof looks great from the outside but I am getting leaks in one of the bathrooms. called them too report the leak and they forwarded me to a person that does warranty work for them. he came out and tried to repair the leak. till this day when it rains hard it still leaks in one of the bathrooms. I found the leak coming from the fireplace and will repair it myself. Not happy with this company and next time will spend a little extra too get it done right.

Excellent - both leaks were fixed, plus jeff found that the bedroom leak was due to a pipe that had corroded and damaged the roof tiles, which wasn't caught by 4 of the other roofers(who also have A Plus as their ratings here on Angies list and quoted me much more money) and Jeff took pictures and gave me the damaged pipe and tiles to show me what was wrong and had been causing it so I could see it and confirm it for myself.

___________________BEWARE__________Very shady company, this company has been trying to attack my character for giving a bad review. They did some previous work and actually stopped midstream and told me I needed to pay more money. I had no choice but to agree. Originally I kept my mouth shut because I didn't want to create waves as they were recommend to me by a friend. Because they jacked up the price, I made some payments to them. However years later they are asking for more money. When I requested a bill politely they started to attack my character and my other business as a Property Manager, which is unrelated and they know that.

Mid Florida Roofing was the only roofing contractor that actually called me back after calling and leaving messages at three other contractors. He came out the same day, inspected the roof and told me that he suspected the vents were causing the leak. He provided me with a very fair written estimate and agreed to complete the work the following day. He came the next day at the time he said and the work was completed in less than one hour. We have had several rain storms since the no more leak. Great job and a very fair price.

I am mid job with Mid Florida Roofing. It is day four of what was predicted to be a two to three day job. The job is supposed to be supervised by someone named Bobby who promised the job would get done right because he was going to be there. He has not been on site for more than one hour for the three days. This is the fourth day of the job. Yesterday the crew showed up at 9 a.m. and kept working however they continued to work until evening hours. When I asked them to start to wrap it up at 7:15 p.m. they ignored me. I finally had to yell at them to get off the roof at 7:45. p.m. What quality of work does a crew give after 10 hours? Not good. So today, they have not shown up and its 2 p.m. They have maybe an hour or two more work if they worked steady. So that's the retribution. If the homeowner seeks consideration because she has elderly parents who cannot stand the noise of five out of state (Kansas plates on the truck, ) questionably documented workers working on her roof its basically she'll get hers. The alleged supervisor Bobby also does not know anything about ordering supplies. I have five extra rolls of felt, nineteen extra rolls of nails that I paid for. Twenty one pieces of 1 x 6 that have sat in my driveway for three days. It was only after the job began that I saw that Bobby's other job is working for a lumber company. Guess who had to have a lot of wood put in? Me. I know what the contract price was and I know what the next roof bid was and if the final bill comes in with a ton of costs over run there will be a problem. I believe they low ball the estimate in order to get the contract and then they will state that they had a lot of unforeseen wood replacement. How if you have 20 years experience can you fail to disclose to the homeowner what they are in for? Advice to Angie’s List people. Do not listen to the salesman. No matter how many times they tell you your home is your castle it is apparent that and quot;castleand quot; to them means toilet bowl.That's how I felt they treated my property. I asked on day one for them for the not to put things on the lawn so the grass would not burn out. Everyday stuff, lumber, coolers, tarps, material, was put on the lawn. The supply truck crushed a corner of one part of the lawn and put tracks on the other part before someone told them to get the heck of the lawn. Ask to speak to the actual contractor or someone who will actually work on the job.

The personnel was wonderful. He was great but was not punctual. He was two hours late.

Prompt response, very knowledgeable. Presented a great bid, but in the end we chose to use another company as they could not do a gravel and tar system.

He came out to do the estimate but seemed very sloppy. He was an awfully nice guy, very easy to talk to, funny, and fun, but something was not working out with him. The contract he wrote up for me with my estmimate was sad in comparison to other roofing estimates I recieved. It made no sense mathmatically and it was a mess to try to read. He seemed to be pushy once he realized I was backing away from him doing the job a little bit. He made a comment about my son being a Princeton grad that I found somewhat offensive, which made him seem unprofessional. His appearance was very unprofessional even during the sales portion of our meetings, as opposed to the other gentleman who came in with a polo shirt on. After all, he called me today and said he had sold my shingles to someone else and has decided not to do the job for me. The only reason I even gave him a call is because I saw him on Angie's List. Also, he was supposed to come yesterday and I was unable to meet yesterday, so he told me he would come today but all I got was a phone backing out of the job.

Other than a few communication snafus, all the work was done timely and professionally.

Found the company on Angie's List. Received call back from company representative, Bob. All contact was professional. Estimate was reasonable. Work was done on time. Crew was professional and experienced. No issues. Good work.

They were very professional, skilled in their trade, and efficient. The wood rot was repaired which came out very well along with the reroof on the patio. The salesman for the company always came out to check on the crew to make sure they were doing well. The project was completed all with in 1 1/2 days. I would recommend them to others.

Bob Skura had done work for me in the past. As always, he quoted an excellent price. Work stared a couple of days after signing contract and was completed several days later. The quality of workmanship and materials were excellent. Good clean up too.

Bob came out to my house and talked me through the whole process of what his company was going to do. He explained all of the different options that I had, and all of the different choices that were available. I settled on a White shingle per his recommendation on that it would save me on cooling costs. I am sure glad that I did, never in a million years would I have thought about choosing a White shingle. Not only does it look great, but it really does save me money every month! The whole process took three days, but really only two because the third day they came back to remove the trailer and extra material that was left over. The first day the old shingles were removed, repairs were needed in several places, and new tar paper went down. The second day the new roof went on and presto, it was over. They were like ants working on my roof. It was a sight to see. Very professional the whole time, I enjoyed very much my experience with Mid-Florida Roofing. I highly recommend them if you ever find yourself in need of repairs or a new roof!
