Description of Work: He arrived, opened the door of my dryer, which would shut down after running less than a few seconds, and checked the model number. He then made a phone call and told me the motherboard was shot, and the cost of repair was too expensive. Some time later I stopped at a used appliance store and described my symptoms to an expert. He told me that some repair persons never actually do any repairs, that they make money by just telling you it would be too expensive so they can collect $35 fees for every call, and not get their hands dirty. He suggested I try the dryer with the vent lint catcher detached. I did, and it has worked ever since.

+ -1 moreHe did not finish the cycle and seemed otherwise occupied while he was doing the work, he was on his phone half the duration of the inspection, he was very rude and curt and told me there was nothing wrong with my dishwasher; I have actually ended up having to replace it, and I am offended that he was willing to take my money without having done anything for me and lying about what was wrong with the unit.
Description of Work: I had just purchased a new home with a service warranty and the dishwasher was not working, my warranty company recommended him out to take a look at it.
