Victor G. was in the area and showed up within an hour. Found leak in water line between main and house. I wasn't watching clock, but I think it took about an hour to pinpoint leak with listening device, partly because roofers on nearby house were making a lot of noise. Victor was friendly & professional. He called their plumber and got me a repair estimate. Plumber who came out later to give 2nd estimate said American Leak Detection is very reliable, and never more than a foot off on the leak location.

After hiring 2 different plumbers to come and try to find an intermittent leak in a rental property we called American Leak Detection based on a recommendation from a co-worker. Their leak detection methods were much more methodical and thorough than the plumbers we hired previously. They found the source of the leak (bad toilet wax ring) which I replaced and haven't had any issues since (approximately 3 months ago). Very satisfied with the work they performed. The price was a little high, but worth it since I spent about the same amount on 2 plumbers coming to find the leak previously.

It was an insane amount of money. He took a machine around the whole house to find the leak. He did a good job. It was a lot of money for the time he spent here. He did find the leak. Some one else fixed the leak. They shouldn't charge that much for that short of time. They came right out and were prompt. He should have given more for the money. They should have done a combined service. I saw what the guy did and I could have done that if I had the machine.

Excellent. The technician was Mike and he did a great job. The appointment was promptly scheduled. Mike arrived on time and called me a few minutes prior to arriving. He was well prepared and had all of the right equipment. The leak was rather small and extremely difficult to locate. Mike traced all of the lines, valves, etc. and did several high tech tests and procedures. He located the leak after about 2 hours of intense investigation. It was so hidden and deep, that I'm surprised he even found it. My irrigation company was on hand and they were equally impressed with Mike's ability. Bottom line, problem resolved in a quick and professional manner for a very fair price.

I called on Friday morning to see of they had any appointments before the weekend. They fit me in and told me it would be the afternoon. In the end, three techs showed up to make the detection go quicker. They located the leak within 20 minutes and had it clamped in under an hour. I could not have asked for more. They were professional, knowledgable and trustworthy.

The representative told me on the phone it would be a base charge of $250 to just come out and do the detection. I thought that was a ridiculously high amount and it must be a complicated service for it to cost so much. It wasn't. The rep came into my house with a small tool (that can evidently detect water in walls instantly!) and within 2 minutes, left and handed me the invoice (paid in full) for $250. He was able to pinpoint the leak behind my bathroom wall within seconds--started there and ended there. I thought $250 was ridiculously high for the service performed.

THEY CAME OUT ON THE DAY THAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD. THEY WERE ABLE TO FIX THE LEAK FOR THE QUOTED PRICE. THEY DID RECOMMEND THAT THE POOL BE RESURFACED, BUT AS OF YET THE PATCH HAS HELD.
