+ -1 moreRandy arrived promptly and was neatly dressed and professional in appearance. The inspection went very well, and Randy answered all of our questions and explained things to us as he did the inspection. He was very personable and patient with our questions. The report he generated afterward provided a wealth of knowledge about the home and there were many details and pictures in the report. Afterward, Randy was helpful in answering a few last questions that we had. We felt confident in the knowledge of the condition of the home and will be purchasing it as a result of the thorough inspection that Randy did.
Description of Work: Randy performed a home inspection on a home we were thinking of purchasing. He inspected everything thoroughly: plumbing, electrical, pool, roof, windows, appliances, air conditioner, etc. He took his time and explained things to us as he did the inspection. Randy was very thorough and detailed with the inspection and took many pictures also. Afterward he provided us with a detailed report, with many pictures, which made us feel confident that we knew the condition of the home, inside and out, before we purchased it.

+ -1 moreI had been referred to Alliance Building and Home Inspections by a friend, and after looking at the company web site I was already quite impressed. Randy was very professional both on the phone and in person. He listened to my concerns and needs when I first called him. He arrived promptly at our scheduled appointment, and proceeded to do a thorough inspection of a property which I was considering buying as an investment. Randy inspected every detail of the property, answered all of my questions and pointed out both major and minor considerations. The next day Randy emailed the inspection report to me. It was a very detailed report, 48 pages long with numerous photos. There is a summary if one does not want to read the entire report. I am so happy wiith the work that Randy did and would definitely recommend him to anyone. Take a look at his web site at AllianceBHI.com. When Randy's wealth of knowledge is combined with a computer generated software inspection report, one can't go wrong when hiring Alliance Building and Home Inspections for doing their pre-purchase or pre-sale home inspection.
Description of Work: Randy is a very thorough home inspector. He approaches every inspection as if he was doing it for himself. I was suprised to see him open and close all windows and doors to see if they function properly. He checked every electrical outlet and made sure that I knew the difference between ground fault protected outlets as compared to regular electrical outlets and why they are needed. If you don't know, ask him. He enjoys answering all types of questions. If he doesn't have an answer, he will do his best to find one for you. He made sure that the air conditioner was functioning as it was designed and while he was in the attic checking out the air conditioning ducts, he was inspecting the attic for roof leaks, and, as he said, "anything that just doesn' t look right". He inspected the entire plumbing system and gave me some helpful information as to how long the various systems that make up a residence should last. His report is also very informative as it goes into detail explaining how to maintain a home and the problems that can occur. The inspection report also gives an explanation as to what to expect should one decide to have them repaired.
