To address the issues you raised I looked at the invoice and spoke with the office personnel who took your call and the technician who performed the work. The Senior Discount was given. It is true that we do not advertise on Angie's List and no one to my knowledge has ever requested the discount. It was part of our profile created so long ago that the person answering the phone was not aware. She confirmed the discount with me and you were given the full discount. With regard to the price, I show that we arrived, diagnosed the problem, gave you the cost to repair, went and picked up the part and repaired the system all in the same day. Our pricing is flat rate which means that the same price is given regardless of which technician is sent to perform the work. This ensures that the same price is charged to you and your neighbors regardless of which technician is sent to repair the system. With regard to the price of the part on the internet, I am not aware of original Carrier manufacturer parts being sold to the public on the internet so I have no idea of what type of pricing you are looking at. I can assure you that the part was much more expensive than you indicated. We received your authorization to perform the work at the price given prior to any work being done.
