Johnathan from Touchstone showed up after two days of ongoing, but prompt and responsive, phone tag. I had found them on line and their web site stated that they cleaned ducts. I figured better to get guys that also fix ACs as well as clean ducts in case my ducts needed repairs. Mine had not been cleaned in probably over 30 years, as bought this older house about 6 years ago, and we were getting attic smells in the summer and odd rodent smells in the winter. During his visit to figure out what we needed (Duct replacement vs. just cleaning) Johnathan took time to answer questions I had about the smells and educate me that often heater coils give off a dirty sock smell if they are dusty, etc. He taught me a great deal of things about AC systems. Then he went up in the attic and I watched him carefully walk along the vent system to see if there were any holes in the system. He checked the units and stated that the system was in good order but a vent cleaning might still be in order and recommended I also consider having a UV light installed in the unit to kill mold, bacteria, etc. He provided an up front and detailed written estimate. I ended up getting a UV light also installed in my newer AC unit as well. The cleaner team showed up on time a few days later and used their special vacuum. They opened all the ducts and cleaned them and then sprayed the system with antimicrobial. They installed the UV lights and provided us with the paperwork for the lights (they have to be replaced every year). My wife was at home during this visit and she reported that they were very professional and courteous. The price paid at the end of the service was unchanged from the estimate (no special added fees that one might expect from the unscrupulous). Needless to say, when I returned from work that evening I could not believe how wonderfully clean the house air smelled. My wife and I also slept very well without our typical coughing and stuffy noses. We were impressed and more than likely will also take these guys on as our annual AC care guys. So glad I happened to pick their site. PS: Was not able to log on to Angie's list prior so went the old way...my intuition paid off. Thanks Touchstone...great job!

Stayed with the job until they found the problem. Returned to make sure our problem had been resolved. Very pleased they went above and beyond to make sure we were extremely satisfied.

Touchtons was recommended by a neighbor and I called on Monday after the unit being down all weekend. Someone was here within two hours, diagnosed the issue, said he would look for an after market replacement part and if he could find one he would be back that afternoon. He was back in the afternoon and the unit was up and running within a half hour!! The tech person was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable.

Did an excellent job

I called Touchton's in the morning and someone was at my house before lunch time. My problem was quickly identified, and repaired. The repairman was very courteous and made sure my AC was working properly before he left.

He told us we had to have a new motor. I called the company that put it in which let us know that the unit is under warranty. They let me know to check to see if this company covered the warranty. Todd offered to sell me one out of a truck for $100. I wanted to get it under warranty at no cost. I drove all the way to Ocala to get this part as Todd said he would put it in. When another gentleman, Rick, came out the next morning and started to install the motor. He let me know that this was not the problem. He found that I was leaking coolant, and that I needed a reversing valve. I went in the house, called the company in Ocala that installed it again. They didn't have the reversing valve, ordered it, and it took a week. Friday I rushed out early to get this part from Ocala. Rick came out again. He put the new reversing valve in. After doing this he told me that the motor was doing the same thing that the other motor was doing. Nothing was wrong with the other motor that I had already had them replace. He switched a few wires around and it works perfectly. (He had also installed the reversing valve). The first repair was $288, second was $228. I feel that this is very high especially since I didn't really need the first repair.
