ARCTIC A-C SVC

Everything went well, as we knew it would. We have always had excellent and prompt service.

I called for an appointment at 4:30 pm yesterday and he was here at 9:00 AM this morning. He was very pleasant and professional and was happy to answer all my questions. He gave me advice on how to keep the unit running efficiently. I was very pleased with his work and highly recommend him. He seemed to take pride in his work.

My a/c would work for a little while before it would begin making noises and blowing hot air. I assumed the worst. The technician did a nice job of troubleshooting my a/c and explained every step of his troubleshooting. He gave good examples of how various internal components should be performing and at what level. He identified that the compressor was pulling too many amps while it also had an elevated pressure level. He identified that the compressor was getting too hot too fast. He then proceeded to clean out the a/c coils. The coils were very dirty and you could see dirt and particles being washed away as he directed water into the coils to remove the debris. He removed the top of the a/c and cleaned out the internal area as well. As he was doing this, he had me watch the amp level and the pressure level. Sure enough, as he was cleaning out the coils, the amp level fell and the compressor pressure level fell to acceptable levels. He could have easily told me my a/c was shot and that I needed a new a/c, and I wouldn't have known the difference -- but he didn't. It was a pleasure having him repair my a/c and it now functions fine.

The appointment was promptly set up for a time that was easy for me with my work schedule. He came out to inspect and service the furnace only for the yearly maintenance. He took care of the service in a timely manner. He was very polite, cleaned up after himself, explained what he was doing and the price for the service was reasonable,

After reading the positive reviews on Angie's list, I called Arctic A/C and asked to speak to Steve. I explained I wanted to have my unit checked out to make sure it was working properly. Steve offered to come out that day, but I preferred to schedule an appt and he was available the next morning at 8AM. He arrived at 8AM, checked out the unit, gave it a thorough cleaning and checked out the pressures and that the blowers were working at capacity. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Service man showed up on time and performed repairs with extreme professionalism and promptness. Our cooling was restored and worked well.

After experiencing several problems with the old unit, it finally dies. Artic Air came immediately upon being called, provided an accurate estimate, and replaced the machine immediately. Within a very short time, my system was back up and working and comfort was restored. A couple of minor bugs were experienced since the installation and Artic Air immediately corrected the problem. They are a delight to work with and highly recommended.

I called from the phone book about an estimate. Got the most helpful technician I've had the pleasure of speaking with in years. He gave me an appointment time the same day, and even called when his last call was running over to let me know he'd be late. Never quoted me a price that was wrong or incomplete, and the total cost was more than fair market price for the work. He had my air back up and running in less than an hour. I would recommend you call Stephen when you need A/C or heating service, I know he will be the only one I call from now on.
