ll I wish there were more people like Doug in the Tampa area! Doug answered the phone promptly and arrived within his time estimate window. He was very polite and forthright throughout the install. He installed a Samsung Electronic lock for our house, which is much more complicated than a standard mechanical lock install. My door lock mounts were cored by the developer, and were substandard and not aligned correctly, which required Doug to re-core and re-drill their mistakes. Additionally, the electronic lock is very touchy about proper alignment and will not throw the deadbolt fully out if it is under pressure or has resistance. This was very frustrating and required Doug to assemble and disassemble the lock multiple times to troubleshoot the issue. However, Doug has an enormous amount of patience and eventually found the problem with alignment. Originally, Doug had quoted a half an hour for install, however, due to the door deficiencies, Doug ended up putting in 2 hours of work. As this was not his fault that the door was not prepared correctly, I was willing to pay him for the full 2 hours, however, he only charged me for an hour of work! Most of all, the lock works flawlessly!

Mr. Doug King of A 1 Lightning Lock Service was friendly and very professional. He explained what work needed to be done and how much the work would cost. He left the decision to us as to what we wanted done and were willing to pay. He was honest and up front about charges for his work before he did the work. He was efficient and very knowledgeable about door locks and made sound recommendations. He did excellent work! We will use his locksmith services again. We certainly recommend him to others.

Our experience with them was very convenient. Part of our door lock assembly was broken so they had to order a new inside lever for us. They came out one day and had to come back again after they had ordered the parts. They fixed the door for us so that we would not have any trouble, and then came back when the part came in to replace it. They came out real promptly to take a look at it. I liked the fixture of the door which they did to make sure no one broke-in in our absence. They did not recommend a total replacement which I appreciated because they could have tried to sell us something costing a lot more money. They told us there was nothing wrong with the outside handle, it was only the inside lever that needed to be replaced. They took the time to get whatever was needed and fixed it. It is working great now. We would definitely use them again if needed.

Doug thoroughly assessed the issue before infoming me that the opening mechanism was corrupt and could not be opened under normal conditions. I requested that he doe what is necessary to open the safe. Sadly, Doug was able to access the safe through removing the door in less than a minute. I learned a valuable lesson from Doug and his actions, don't buy a cheap safe because it can be accessed quickly. I appreciate the information that Doug provided along with the work he did.

We have had the pleasure to have found Lightning Lock and Doug King. Not only is his service throughly professional and always is done right the first time BUT the price is not inflated when he comes out. In the past we have found that many times when we called locksmiths they quoted a great price over the phone or in their ad but when they got out to our home or car we paid much more. We have NEVER had to worry about that with Doug King. He has always given us a fair price, great service and even cleaned up afterwards! I recommend Lightning Lock as the best locksmith service you can call first without having to worry about price, service or who is going to show up. He has worked on all types of locks for us but most recently fixed our sliders and added an extra security lock. Very prompt, professional and always a great vlue with NO bait and switch!

I also was extremely greatful to be helped by someone who was straight forward with how much it would cost to get back into my car without jerking me around and being ambiguous about a price. Before I even made it home from the bank there was a technician out there and he had already opened my car for me. He was friendly, enjoyable, and very helpful. I would definintely recomend this company to my friends and family.

Due to the loss of a house key we felt it necessary to rekey our entire home. I called Doug on Tuesday afternoon and he was here the next morning. He was very professional. I was in a hurry to get this done and did not get an estimate beforehand. Luckily Doug did not take advantage of this. The work took him well over 4 1/2 hours and he tuned a few things up that our builder had not finished properly without charging us.

Doug was very friendly, responsive, and fast. This was one of the first things I wanted to get done after moving in, and he was able to come over the same day that I called. We've had no issues at all with the quality of the work.
