Guardian Hurricane Protection

This is a superb company, with superb people in the home office, in the management and in the work crews. Two crews worked daily for a week to pull out the old and install the new. They covered everything inside before starting each day, and pulled it out at days' end so we could live. They cleaned up during the day as well as at the end. We found water damage in parts of windows, three of which required major reframing. They did that on the spot. We chose Guardian over about 20 various companies that we had talked to over a year and a half. We had bids from most of them. Guardian was neither the least expensive nor the most, but in the middle of the majority of bids in the $18,000 to $22,000 range. We initially chose them because the salesman spoke frankly about what the work entailed, what we might encounter in an older house, the brands they installed and the separate brands he would recommend for windows and the doors. That choice was validated when the engineer came in and took refined measurements, and then in subsequent weeks kept us appraised as to how the suppliers were progressing. The first team arrived on a Monday morning and set to work. The second team joined them Tuesday. Every day thereafter the project manager came by to see how work was going and what the finishing looked like. The two crews were so good it probably was not necessary, but we appreciated the fact that he did come, did look, and did check with us to see if we were happy. To our surprise the interior of the house needed no repainting or refinishing. It was as if the old had just been popped out and the new inserted without disturbing even the immediate walls. This is unquestionably a great organization with great people. We feel fortunate that in the course of looking at over a dozen firms, sometimes through several visits, that we picked them.
