My husband and I decided to think about it because two of the three trees were rather small and the estimate was $600.00 for all three trees. We had family and work issues arise that delayed our return call to Mr. Fidler (about mid to end of July). When I did call requesting to schedule a date to have the trees taken down (without stump removal) I had a longer wait time for a response, which I expected because of our delay getting back to him. A week past by and Mr. Fidler returned our call stating he would came by and relook at the trees to remind himself of the jobsite. Our trees are on a hillside near the home and he would not be able to use his bucket on the truck due to a building in the way. Another 5 days past and Mr. Fidler then said the yard was too wet at the time to begin work. Once the yard dried up I called again telling him the yard was dry now and requested to schedule a day for the work. I left a voicemail and again it was a good week before he came by ( Approx. Aug 9th) and stated he was sorry for not getting back to me sooner that they were booked all week but he may be able to get me in by the weekend. He stated that they would call the day before they were to show up to make sure it was ok. This would have been the week of Aug. 12th through the 16th. Yet another week has past and no phone call or show to perform work or to even schedule a date. I had mentioned to Mr. Fidler that this was a job I would like done by the end of August if possible because I would be returning to work and it would be harder to schedule a day when either my husband or I could be at home. Today is Aug. 26, 2013 and I have yet to hear or see Mr. Fidler. I am very disappointed at this point because our initial contact was so impressive and he was very professional in all communications when we spoke either by phone or in person. It has equalled out to a month that we have been patiently waiting to schedule a date. Unfortunately, my patience has worn out as well as the time frame in which I needed the work completed. I'm disappointed that our agreement never came to a day when the job was scheduled and completed. :0( I do understand that I had a time frame I was trying to work with which is difficult especially when open spaces are quickly filling. I would have just appreciated at least a phone call or even a voicemail stating that unfortunately he was not able to work with me so that I could have had time to contact another company who may have been able to. Update: On Sept. 11, 2013 Mr. Fidler showed up out of the blue with his men and equipment ready to work. I expressed to him that I never heard from him and had contacted a second provider. He didn't like it and stated by throwing hands in air, and quot; That's fine. I have 30 other people lined up and waiting. I don't need this one.and quot; I stopped him and told him since he was there with men and equipment they may as well work. He agreed and they began. They did what they could that day then returned the next day to complete the work. I noticed they were cutting more trees than what was in the estimate. I stopped the men and told them not to cut them because they were not in our agreement. No extra fee was charged for the two small extra trees they took down before I stopped them. The men stated that Mr. Fidler had advised them to take them down as well because they were leaning as well. Three trees were in the original estimate: a maple, gum and a holly. In the end a total of 5 trees were cut completely down. (on a side note thesecond provider I was waiting on was contacted and I was told my scheduled appointment needed to be changed two hours before time of scheduled arrival. I told second provider that I had men arrive unexpectedly ready to work and we agreed to allow them to work. My second choice was polite about the situation and relieved at the time due to I would have been an out of town estimate so the situation saved them time and money.)
Description of Work: When I originally called near the end of June 2013 for an estimate I left a voicemail and within an hour and a half Mr. Fidler returned my call and immediately (within the hour and in the rain) came by to look at 3 trees and gave an estimate. Very impressive!

Mr Fidler was scheduled to remove 2 large trees from my property and grind the stump down. I had another tree that I decided I wanted down as well and he quoted me a good price so I went ahead and had him do that too. They safely cut down all 3 trees (2 of which were very close to my house), cut everything down to firewood length. My neighbor and I split the wood and they even helped load his truck and also move mine to my back yard. I would highly recommend Mr Fidler and his team and will be using them again in the future if I need tree service.

Mr. Fidler was prompt in response to my original phone call. Arrived at initial consultatation appointment on time on the agreed upon day. Provided an estimate and described exactly what would be done to facilitate tree removal. provided me all information I needed for how it would affect my neighbor's properties -- it didn't. Arrived to do the removal while I was at work -- this was the only issue I had. They were supposed to call me before they arrived and did not. Instead, my neighbors contacted me. Work was very professional and my yard was completely restored after they completed. I am very happy with the job they did and their professionalism. Price was completely acceptable.
Description of Work: Removal of a large - 3ft diameter - maple tree and two pine trees. No stump removal (but it was an option)

Prompt response to initial contact; met land owner at prescribed time; gave quote for job; agreed upon price and start date. Company started when agreed to, stayed with job until completed (approximately 7 days). Job was performed as agreed upon; minimal disturbance of surrounding property, professional conduct by all involved. I will definitely use them again when the need arises.
Description of Work: Removed about 75 wild cherry trees; cut to ground level, chipped, cleaned-up, removed all debris. Stump removal was not requested.
