Underwood Construction Consulting Incorporated UCCI completed a very successful renovation of the kitchen? sun room and laundry room in our home that included removal of a load-bearing wall and raising the floor of the sunroom. They also repaired hurricane damage to our roof, soffit, and front porch ceiling. This company was selected for our project based upon the excellent. Professional credentials of Mr Ted Lucky Underwood. Is the history of complex project completion and the positive reviews of his prior work? He had creative ideas for accomplishing the work. And was responses to every request and concern. They employed competence subcontractors for different phases of the project and held them to excellent completion standards. Two of his sons did much of the work on the project and were a pleasure to work with. We were very pleased with all of the work that was done. And we highly recommend Mr. Lucky Underwood and UCCI for similar or even more complicated construction work with no reservations.

2/23/25 We own a Park Model in the RV Plantation in Lady Lake, FL & hired a Professional Construction Company known as Lucky Underwood Construction to make some modifications & additions to our our home. They did a great job and the quality of their work is superior. They are very easy to work with and their prices are very reasonable. They keep you informed and meet their dead lines. The construction done by Lucky and his sons was excellent! The new addition was built stronger than our house! I don’t know that we could have a better job from anyone else. We met Lucky after speaking with 8 other contractors, he had already googled our house so he had an idea of the job before he got here whereas the other contractors wanted pictures first. I liked his confidence and knowledge and he was also an engineer which was reflected in his workmanship. His design was better then we expected or even thought of. As a general contractor he doesn’t always do the site work but he was here much of the time checking on the job. His two sons did most of the hard work and not only were they extremely knowledgeable they were very pleasant to have working in your home. Lucky expected a lot from any of his subcontractors any made sure it was done right and calling them back if he wasn’t satisfied (the concrete guys did a sloppy job on the exterior concrete, not affecting the construction just the outside look of it. Lucky made them come back and fix it without us even having to ask. Anything we asked he went above and beyond to do. Lucky’s contract was the most detailed contract we’d seen protecting both parties. The job took one month longer then expected which I’m sure is normal in construction but due to issues out of his control, like two hurricanes. His initial quote was within the same range as most the others. The job ran $5,000 over budget but that was due to changes made and cost involved was explained first with the option to move forward with it or not. Things like we were going to try and save an existing sliding door that was 28 years old we changed to a nice French door that of course was an additional cost. A budget was set up and explained at the signing of the contract and some things ran higher then projected like concrete, the family room was built over an existing Florida room so the concrete had to be leveled to bring the floor up so there was no longer a step down which cost more. The budget cost was based on a step down which we changed deciding wanted it level. Extra costs were from our changes. If we had not made changes we would have been on budget. I don’t think construction is ever a pleasant experience but I think Lucky and his team got us through it. We most certainly would hire him again.

We had some trouble with our architect on our house, but Lucky got it all sorted out. I will be a return customer for sure.
