The installation was all done in one day, They replaced everything except the duct work, which was still in good shape. They showed up on time, practiced social distancing, and did a great job of installing the new system and thermostat. It works about 20 times better than our old one. I got three quotes and they were about $3,000 less than the highest one. The highest one wanted to replace the concrete slab it was on, which we were told was not necessary. It looked fine to me. The inspector came the next morning and told me it was done correctly and we should have no problems, and signed off. They did not leave one scrap of any of debris in the yard or garage. We are very pleased! Very neat job. They also explained why the outside unit was slightly different than the old one and showed me how to use the new thermostat, which is easy to use.

I can not say enough about how accomadating Mr Byers is. We originally called Bay Area Heating and Cooling for a service call on our AC that wasnt working. They said it could not be fixed and quoted me 4,500 - 8,000 for a new system, saying that I would have to replace everything because there wasn't anything compatable with what I had. I couldn't afford that and someone suggested Byers AC. This was a few years ago - Mr Byers came out and soddered (sp?) something the other guy said couldn't be fixed. Mr Byers did say that this may be a temperary fix - which was ok because that was all I could afford at the time. The fix worked for 2 years! When it came time to replace Mr. Byers sold me just the outside handler, not pressureing me to replace the whole system. The system is still working great today, my electric bill even went down. I see Mr Byers around town sometimes and he always says hi. If you live in Citrus County do not hire any other AC man.
