"I realize it is way past hurricane Ian, however I was not aware of any issue(s) until now. My fence was installed back in 2019 and I paid 6k for a vinyl privacy fence for 3/4 of my yard and chain link on 1/4. Of course the vinyl fence was destroyed by Ian. I have been informed though that the vinyl post should have had wood posts inside them to reinforce them rather than be hollow. In addition it was brought to my attention that no tension wire was installed on the chain link fence. I am not a contractor and had no idea there should have been a tension wire. The lack of tension wire continues to allow for animals to enter my yard. I am a single mom on a budget. I had several estimates and chose Englewood Fencing, which I know now was a mistake. I would advise against using Englewood Fencing."

We have 100+ years experience in the fence industry. We are a local family business. We have the knowledge to get your fence installed beautifully and promptly.
"Beware!! This company put a fence in for me and I'm not really impressed for the 1000's of dollars that I spent. I live out of state therefore wasn't there for install. Come to find out once in town that gate is messed up and will hardly open cause when they put hinge on they split the 4x4 therfore it's shifted. Also needed assistance after the hurricane with fixing fence. At first they said they would go check it out in 2 weeks.. The receptionist said they would reach out within 2 weeks. Waited a month and reached out to them again due to not hearing and again they said it would be a couple weeks. Again I never heard from them. Fast forward 2.5 months I called back again and Mr Bill got on the phone and said that he would be out and gave me a day he would be there. When I called to confirm the day they were supposed to be there they canceled.. Nothing but frustration has come from using this company.. so as stated before Beware Usually do not post negative reviews but this company is ridiculous.."

"H & Y Fence is a horrible company to do business with. On 4/8/21, I signed a contract with H & Y to remove and replace 6 fence panels surrounding a human waste lift station. H & Y wanted half the money upfront, which I paid them. On 6/29/21, their crew finally came and removed 6 four-foot by six-foot fence panels. They were supposed to reinstall them the next day, 6/30/21. Six weeks later, we are still waiting, and community residents have to look at the human waste lift station. H & Y are in breach of contract. When I call them, I am told someone will call me right back. No one ever does."

"Do not hire this company, they are not licensed in the state of FL and the fence they installed failed inspection due to poor quality and code violations. The fence posts were not cemented in the ground the required 2 feet deep so the panels wobbled and there the height was over 6 feet tall on three sides and about a 1 foot gap from bottom of fence to the ground. I had to have it taken out completely and a brand new fence installed b/c no licensed contractor would touch it to try to fix. One of their workers urinated on my fence and the owner of the company stole my gas cans (full of gas). This was all caught on my security cameras so they were fired. Do your homework on contractors before you hire them! The contractor that did my NEW fence was amazing and I should have used them to begin with!"
