that were never asked of him, such as replace locks, trouble shoot junction box, pulling wires, ?diagnose? garage door, and many other things of this nature. Due solely to his actions, my tenant lost power in the home and when I called him to see what had happened to my power he even billed me for an ?emergency call?, cursed me out and threatened me and my tenant, before he sent me an email telling me that I owed him $1200. When I questioned him on these charges and requested an Invoice he replied with ?Now I don't want to go to battle with you and more certainly you don't want to go to battle with me, among our local motorcycle enthusiasts I'm referred to as the crazy?. When I demanded an invoice and receipts for materials, he produced an invoice with work of which was either never completed or never even started. In some cases the invoice stated things like ?Replaced AC Filter? and charged me $20 to install it (fact- he never installed because he bought the wrong size, ?Attempted to pair generic remote control to non-compliant garage door opener? and charged me for remote controls and his time to read
instructions (fact- I never asked him to touch the garage door and I never saw or received the remote controls), ?Replaced front door lock? (fact- he later confessed on a call that ?replaced? may have been a typo, he meant to say ?repaired?, when I asked him what this meant, he said he greased the lock, also charged me $20 for this. In summary, the Invoice contained 16 lines items
of which 14 were unrequested, bogus, and never even completed (only shower head replacement and furniture removal was completed). Furthermore, the receipts he produced consisted mostly of parts that were never requested, wrong size (and returned
by him for which I never received the credit), nor installed in my home, even contained a case of Gatorades for his crew!
Ward Blanchard, the owner of A League of Extraordinary Movers, then continued with his extortion methods telling me that if I did not pay him $1200 he would report me to the City of Plantation for my non-compliant wiring and garage door (now I see why he decided to diagnose things I never asked him to do) and even report me for a potentially non-compliant/permitted outdoor fence which he asked that he repair and I had declined.
Finally after a couple of weeks of ugly emails and threats we both agreed that I would pay him $880, which happened to be DOUBLE what I could best reconcile based on his time and receipts. Prior to sending him a check I made it very clear that this would close this dispute and we could have no further dealing on any remaining amount. He agree, until he received his $880 payment!
Now that he received his $880, he is attempting to extort additional payment by sending me more emails stating- ?You still have a balance due. Pay your bill or wish you had paid your bill. Pay now or pay later.?
In summary, if you want to be ripped off, cursed at,harassed, threatened, and extorted, be sure to call A League of Extraordinary
Movers (aka. World?s Best Movers, aka. El Cheapo Movers).
"Here is the original agreement entered into between me and [removed member name]: ..............You see he says to proceed. Please proceed as agreed with Geoff. Here is a list of repairs Jeff is requesting: 1) light post (could be bulb) 2)rear patio door change locking mechanism.3)garage door latch.4) garage door opener(must be ordered from manufacturer).5)ac.filter.6)outdoor motion detector light.7)shower head.8)front screen door closing mechanism.9) purchase and install florescent lighting for garage.10) 2 locking door knobs. The cost of labor without pulling any wires : $395.00 plus cost of materials. My suggestion is that all items are purchased via Lowes/Home depot, basic, durable parts,no custom.Let me know how to proceed. Now right here agrees $795.00 plus parts/materials.How much did he think parts were going to be? light fixtures ,bulbs, remotes, shower heads ,doorknob,etc.etc.free? a couple bucks? I gave him receipts for over $300.00 for parts that were used. Anything that was returned he wasn't charged for.So how is $880.00 double that? . Then he says," Not only did he give me no quote or estimate of any kind, he proceed to attempt to make repairs that were never asked of him, such as replace locks, trouble shoot junction box, pulling wires, “diagnose” garage door",..Hey everybody look up there..Why it looks like an inventory with pricing that he agreed to.I did more work than is mentioned here and showed that work to his Realtor who verified all work was done and everything was working fine. So you see our boy Davey here is telling one lie after another. [removed member name] feels that since he is out of the country he can do as he pleases with impunity, wrongo. You don't steal from hard working honest citizens. So yes I going to do everything I can to make his life miserable because he needs to learn not to steal from his workers. Also A CASE OF GATORADE??? it was one bottle I picked up by the check out counter at Lowes and I told him he didn't have to pay it. This guy is ridiculous, hey [removed member name] take my reciept that says a case of gatorade on it and post it here or on my face book and I'll give you $1,000.00 do it or admit what a liar you are."

"[Member Name Removed] was given a choice between a flat rate or paying by the hour. He choose hourly. While on the job paramedics came and held the elevator due to an accident in the building .He also had more items then he told us. That slowed things a little not much. We did have borrow a small allen key from maintenance because my driver had some but could not locate that size, so the men tried to keep things moving by borrowing one. My driver eventually found his and that's what we used at the other end. [Member Name Removed] called me right away and informed me of this. I asked him how much time did this add? He then told me my driver had a smoke by the truck while his wife/friend was chatting him. Again I asked How much time ? He said 2 hours. I said they 've been there 2 hrs 20 minutes and they have just have the crib left so you are telling me that it took them 20 minutes to load a 2 bedroom apartment with elevator in the truck but yet they spent 2 hours on 1 piece? I asked again "how much time did this add? he said 20 minutes, I said fine we will deduct 20 minutes. His job cost $90.00 more then it would of if he had taken the flat rate but that was due to extra furniture and a longer walk. When he realized this he wanted to go back to the flat rate. I said he can't do that. He was overheard saying he was not going to pay so I told my men to collect. He paid via credit card which we knew he was going to dispute but since I had done everything right I still took his AMEX card. [Member Name Removed] filed complaints with multiple agencies which all ruled in my favor including his credit card provider. The main reason for this is because even though all the agencies sided with him 1st. Evil mover against unknowing consumer ,which is fine they all ,everyone ruled in my favor because [Member Name Removed] was caught in several lies. I believe [Member Name Removed] says I charged him $400.00 more? I will pay him $1,000.00 if he can go to his credit card statement and show we did a job that he was charged $400.00 more. At this point I don't recall the exact amount his original flat rate but for the sake of argument I believe I said $360.00 for a 2 bedroom elevator building. O.K. show me your receipt for as little as $600.00, well below the $400.00 you claim to have been charged extra. Right here on Angie's list I make this offer to you $1,000.00 for the credit card statement. If not admit you're lying again and apologize to my men."

Even though I told you verbally the $365 was a cash price, it's written in the e-mail I sent you. As far as prepaying, we don't have credit card machines on the trucks, so we require your credit card info the night before so we can bring a printed receipt that you can authorize. There is a 5% administrative fee for this. As far as the bed bolts, had you have called me, I would've replaced them that day. You were a local move so it would've been quite easy for me to come. I do agree that I could've explained more that on a flat rate, boxes are to be placed in one staging area on the ground level. For this I apologize. But for future reference, I would suggest to you, and anyone packing boxes, you don't pack a box so heavy that it's difficult for one man to carry. I know we're professionals, but we are made of flesh and blood like anyone else. When you pack a box that's too heavy for you to pick up, imagine how heavy that is for someone else to carry it up flights of stairs. Especially someone who's been moving furniture all day. These were the type of the things the men were probably complaining about. You claim we damaged lamp and desktop computer. Again, you never contacted me about this. But also, I see these items were not included on your inventory, and you did not pay to have them moved. Maybe that's why you didn't tell me about it. All in all, I believe we did a good job for you, even though you showed little compassion for the crew, and expected us to move additional items for free. As you've said, you were referred to us but not one, but two people who were quite happy with our service. So to be honest, you received better than what you paid for."
The owner instructed him to deduct $25 from our total ONLY! We moved all our tvs, our entire living room set, our entire dining room set and numerous closet items including all hangered clothes for all 3 bedrooms OURSELVES! All of these things were part of our quote. Shawn was also the most aggressive and rude person we have ever dealt with. He was in attack mode rushing the other workers and pressuring them to assemble the furniture as quickly as possible even if that meant leaving screws out or assembling the furniture incorrectly. When they were done unloading my bedroom set, daughter's bedroom set, garage storage and entertainment center they said they were done for the day leaving behind every single box we had at our other property. Shawn shouted at my husband that he was only doing one trip even though no where on the contract did it say that. At this point they were already paid the money in cash so we were taken. The damaged knobs were taken away that day and brought back a week later by the owner. He argued with me attacking me saying that he couldn't repair the drawers they cracked under the outdoor conditions at my house so he was taking it away but he refused to tell me when he was bringing it back. He just kept saying "when I get a chance" and when I tell him I needed a date he became infuriated and closed the door of his car in my face and yelled at me that he would not give me back my drawer because it was in "unacceptable condition". He also yelled at a worker that was working at my property because the gentlemen politely asked him to move so they could do work outside my property. He yelled at the guy "ALRIGHT I'M GOING, I DIDN'T COME HERE TO BE PUSHED AROUND". I was so upset with this company that I just asked him to give me back my drawer and the owner refused and started yelling at me, he rolled his windows up while I was talking to him and sped off in my face. He smelled like liquor and appeared to be drunk. I was so upset I went inside my house crying.
This company was highway robbery and the most awful service experience of my life. Please don't do business with these people I beg of you. I am going to report them to the better business bureau and every source I can to make sure they never do this again to anyone!! This company should be taken out of business immediately!! Beware they also advertise under the name of El Cheapo movers also (which might I add is an entirely different company that's well known in South Florida, that's why i called them thinking it was El Cheapo...SCAM)!! So either name if you get a response from a guy named Ward, RUN!!!
"[removed member name] called me the day of the move to tell me that she moved a substantial amount of furniture that was on the inventory that her husband and I created, she was not present when we were making the inventory. My driver produced an carbon copy of the inventory that was left with them, when he asked where her copy was she said she didn't have it.After reviewing the inventory with her it was proven that only 2 pieces were missing so $25.00 was deducted .The other items were items her husband had told me they were taking and was never on the inventory. So now she's upset and becoming belligerent to me and my crew because she wanted more than $25.00 taken off.I told her if we were charging $12.50 per item then her job would cost over $800.00.One knob of a child s' drawer did come up missing so we took a matching knob to replace the old one. I told her I'd get it to her in a few days Unfortunately it couldn't be purchased locally and back ordered from the store. This took 5 days so on the 3rd day she called and I explained the situation and she started yelling at me "you said a few days,I need those knobs for my little girls drawer, you need to get them here yesterday".The following weekend I brought over the knob and she showed me 3 smalls spots where some white paint rubbed off.I touched those up on site. She showed me a drawer that had a light 6" scratch on it .I attempted to repair there but due to a lack of a dust free environment I decided to take it to my friends wood shop were I could use a spray booth. She wanted to know when I was coming back, I explained that since it's not my shop I'd have to find out when I could use the facilities but I'd try to have it back by the weekend. She acted like she didn't hear me she said "what day, exactly are you bringing this back?" I restated my position. She said "no yer gonna give me an exact day".I'll try to be here no later than next weekend". 'When",she demanded. After awhile I realized that trying to get her to comprehend the situation was as pointless as trying to teach chess to a mule so I quietly started my truck and left. She stood in the yard screeching something at me but I just kept going. Her husband called and said his wife was giving him too much grief please just take the door back and he'd take care of it.Her husband is a real nice guy who I liked instantly and who now I felt sorry for. When I got back I convinced [removed member name] to let me take the drawer, that's right me the drunk guy with alcohol on his breath. As I was heading to my truck she came walking across the yard,a barefoot, plus size lady stuffed into these too tight spandex pants waving her right hand in the air with her head sliding east to west as if making an attempt to extract itself from the body it was attached to saying"I tole you you gonna tell me sumthin, you gonna talk to me" in front of all her neighbors. She kept yelling so other things that I graciously ignored but the neighbors may have enjoyed listening to.Does this sound like someone who'd go in the house crying. And showing up drunk?!? come on,I'm a 55 year old business man,a grown up.It's a shame she has to try to embellish her story this way because she didn't get her exact way.Shows you what I had to deal with. Anyways I gave the drawer back to her husband a few days later.I asked if there was anything else ,he said no and everything was fine.We shook hands and I left him with my deepest sympathy.Just a note n one from my company would ever ask for a tip, they'd be fired. Look at the other reviews here .Surely someone would of mentioned something like that. Again another feeble attempt to discredit me."
