WILLETT PUMPS & SPRINKLERS

I just wanted to take a moment to offer my congratulations to this company on its ability to bounce back from any economic hardship it endured due to the pandemic. I say this, as it appears that Willett's has so much work it doesn't even bother to return messages left on its voicemail. I called and left a message on April 12, 2021 at 3:11 p.m. and, as of today, 4/28, I have not received a return call. I wish Willett's good luck and continued success in securing all the business it needs but apparently it didn't need mine.

Fortunately, Willett Pumps replied to my email right away. They called and said they were a half an hour away. When they got here, they looked at what I wanted done, gave me what I thought was a fair price, and started the job then. They were professional, fair, and checked everything before they left. I will be using them in the future for all my sprinkler needs!

After repairs were performed the system began malfunctioning again. When I called the owner told me that they stand by their work for one year. However when they arrived he informed me that that wasn't true and that they would charge me money to fix it again. The owner was very rude, offensive, and unprofessional when I disputed the facts.

It went very well. They finished in less time than I expected them to. They also raked the bed to put the mulch back and even replanted the plants they had to relocate. You couldn't tell some serious irrigation work had even been done. We've been using Willet's for over three years and we always know that we'll be getting outstanding service at a fair price. You can also count on Willet's to be there on time and to keep you updated as the work progresses .

Contracted with Willett to replace my old irrigation pump which had lost pressure. They replaced the pump but system still didn't work. They told the well was fouled by oak tree roots. They came out two weeks later to dig a new well. Willett told me 3 times how busy they were. They dug the new well without knowing where the electrical lines were buried. The utility marker guys didn't come out until the day after. They dug the well quite a ways away from the pump to avoid cutting anything. When they finished they showed me that water was flowing. I asked Willett if their work was guaranteed. He gave me a spiel about how they had been in business for decades, which isn't an answer. I turned the pump on 5 minutes after they left and got no water. I called them immediately and they came back. They showed me how to prime the pump using the city water hose and suction. They told me it was air in the line and it would resolve itself. It never has. Using the pump always requires 15 minutes of priming. It wastes 10 gallons of city water and is very inconvenient. An elderly or disabled person couldn't do it. They have ignored all of my phone calls to come and fix it. A simple job done poorly.

They came to my home and looked at the problem and was fixed in 45 minutes.

Everything went uneventfully. On time and for the quoted price. Couldn't be happier. Would call them for any additional work, no doubt.

Excellent! We interviewed several different providers. Willett was the only one who offered to look at our existing pump and refurbish, rather than replace it. Entire crew came out and efficiently dug wells and installed sprinkler system. Working great.

I've used Willet Pumps and Sprinklers since we moved in tour house in the spring of 2014 . Whenever they've done work for us they have always been punctual, professional and a pleasure to work. The job in May was no exception. They had to re-schedule because of mi-communication on our part but they worked us in the next day. They completed the work on time, checked to make sure the entire system was working correctly, and cleaned up the mess. They're always willing to work with you and if you need to talk with them they always. return your call in a timely manner. Overall, Willet Sprinklers is a company that you can depend on to do a good job at a good price

They were nice gentlemen and were on time. The issue I have is when a company comes to your home to perform a service I feel that they should clean up after themselves. They left pieces of pipe and the cement rings that went around my sprinklers just laying around. I walked around to look after they had left and saw stuff on the ground. Also one of the men tracked dirt in my house and didn't even bother trying to shake it off the little carpet near my door. the work was fine, it's the clean up afterwards that I had an issue with.

I have been taking care of my own system for the past 25 years, but there was a major leak that shut down an entire zone. When I dug it up, it seemed beyond my ability. I also had a sprinkler head blown out at the base of my vibernum hedge that I had let alone for quite some time. I knew it was going to be deep, a tangle of roots, and a very tough repair for me, so I blew it off for months. I searched Angie's List and found Ken Willett. The one review that impressed me the most was the one from a widow whose husband had relied on Willett's, and she stuck with them, and has been very satisfied for over fifteen years. I gave Ken a call, and he scheduled me for two working days out. He came ahead of the scheduled time after calling to see if that was OK. He and Richard made fairly short work of the "difficult" repair and turned to the other blown out sprinkler. It turned out to be one major feeder line and the sprinkler line as well. There was digging, and mud, and crawling around in water that flooded out when the original break turned out to not be the only one. Basically, MY worst nightmare of a repair! Ken and Richard, however, were undaunted. They applied all their talents and expertise, shrugged off the nastiness of the mess they were working in, and effected the repair. What a great feeling to have that finally taken care of! Now, the moment of truth.... Ken presented the bill, and I was frankly pretty shocked at how small it was considering all they had been through. To all you do-it your-selfers out there, (and everyone else) you don't need to put off the tough sprinkler jobs you're uncertain of with Ken Willett and Richard on call. Their help comes pretty darn cheap considering all the peace of mind it buys. These guys are top shelf!

He showed up on-time and called ahead; which was great. Once he got there he diagnosed the problem as a blown fuse, but did not have the fuse to repair it and was going to charge me extra to get the $3 fuse from Earl's and install it. I ended up paying him $55 for a 5 minute job and when I replaced the fuse I heard an awful mechanical sound from my pump. I have tried calling him twice to get him to come back out and nothing. So problem not solved, money taken, and no response back to my invitation to come fix the pump.

They were punctual, efficient, worked very quickly and had me back to work in no time!

Setting up appointment was easy, arrived promptly at designated time, diagnosed the problem with non-working sprinkler zone and evaluated other zones for repairs and adjustments.

All business; however the problem started when the pump was installed. We called and they ignored us until it died and we had to pay to get it repaired. Date is approximate.

They were great. They came. They got me right up. The price was so good. I was very pleased with them. I was really nervous about the price because they just replaced a part on the pump and it was awesome. The two guys that came were great. They had given me a time frame from like 11 to 12 and I think they came at 10. So, they were an hour or two early.

I called Willet at 8:30am on 10/14/14 and explained that our sprinkler system was not working at all. They set up an appointment for the very next morning (10/15) at 8:30am and showed up right on time. They quickly assessed the issue, left to get the right parts for replacement and returned within 30 minutes to begin their work. They were finished within another 15 minutes or so and continued to run the system through each zone to be sure everything worked properly. They detected that three of the rotors were not rotating properly to give us 100% coverage of the lawn, and replaced the three rotors quickly. The job was done and I was off to work by 9:30. They were professional, informative, courteous and efficient. The next time something goes wrong with our system I know who to call.

I called on Friday before Labor Day and Ken returned my call first thing Tuesday morning. He explained that he was very busy with calls over the weekend, but said he would try to get over that day and at least stop the leak. It wasn't an emergency, I had let it go for some time before calling anyone, so that was fine with me. Twenty minutes later he called to say he had a cancellation and could come to my house right away. He gave me a lot of information about the workings of my sprinkler which I appreciated. They quickly indentified the problem and located the valve that needed replacing. I had to leave for the day, but had no qualms about leaving my garage open. And even though there were plants that had to be dug up, I had complete confidence that it would all be returned to normal by the time I got home and it was. Sprinkler was fixed, garage was closed, plants were back in place so you wouldn't even know there was work done there. I have never used Ken Willett before, but my first impression was that he is conscientious, intelligent, knowledgeable, and fair in his pricing.

They completed the work in a just a few hours which was less time than I thought it would take. The system works fine and I am very satisfied with the installation.

I called Ken Willett a few weeks ago to take a look at my irrigation pump as I had a random issue of the stations rotating every 5 seconds. Ken advised me that the pump was good, but the control valves may have a short in the system. I hired Ken out on 4/4 to fix the control valves and to correct the prior homeowner's "handy plumbing" of the irrigation pump. He arrived on time and completed the job in a timely fashion. He replaced all the control valves as the wires were all frayed and broken and re-piped the sprinkler outflow to remove sagging pipes and a unnecessary air gap valve. The system works GREAT! I ran it the next day and the pump runs very quiet and I get great water pressure and coverage on all my stations. The system does not rotate every 5 seconds and the workmanship was top notch. I will use Willett Pumps and sprinklers for my next irrigation fix or maintenance job.

I have been using Willets for maybe 15 years. There were always giving me same day service - for 1 broke head !! Great company...I have the card on my refrig for any problems.

Very satisfied with the prompt professional service. They quickly diagnosed that the low pressure in my sprinkler systems was caused by the pump. Within 2 hours they replaced my pump and check value and made sure all my watering zones were working. The price of $600 seemed high, but other well/pump repair companies wanted us to drill a new well and install a completely new irrigation system which was completely unnecessary for thousands of $$$$. I would use this company again!!

Willett did great! We had a complicated schedule getting the house ready to move into including having a concrete slab poured. They came by and told me where to place the pipes under the slab. They stopped by again to make sure the concrete guys didn't crack the well pipes before the concrete was poured and hooked up the pump. The installed the system using a few of the original components and got it all working the day before the sod was delivered. I haven't had to make any adjustments. Other estimates were up to $1K more. I highly recommend them!

I called the company and spoke with the owner at 11:30 am to schedule the repair of a broken sprinkler pipe. He said he would be there at noon and arrived promptly. He repaired the broken pipe and installed a new valve. He also checked the sprinkler heads and replaced one leaky sprinkler head. The owner was very professional and knowledeable about sprinkler systems. I would definitely recommend this company.
