+ 0 moreWalid Ahmed was extremely helpful and very professional. We did not understand that SK could do the entire project from start to finish. Tim Gillani from KB sent us to SK as we had searched EVERYWHERE for more than a year looking for the perfect piece of BLUE. I'm still not sure if all blue granite is dyed ???? If not the rare blues like Mont Crest displays are triple expensive. As we were leaving Mr. Ahmed pointed out 2 slabs of granite that while they were not blue would go well with white cabinets. OMG. The black and whitish highly polished veined granite is the most gorgeous EVER. WE returned to KB on 66th St. four blocks from SK. Within 24 hours the two huge slabs of GORGEOUS GRANITE had been transferred and stored, payments made and the second phase of fabrication begun. I would highly recommend looking at SK . {picture upload attempted, failed.}
Description of Work: Selected the stone from SK, but KB down the road executed the rest.

Description of Work: Went to SK Stone to look at Granite. Was greeted by Walid who was with another customer at the time. He gave me a sheet to write down the stones that I liked as I walked around the warehouse, and told me that most of the stone in the class I was to look in were outside, to write down the names of those I liked and then he would get with me after he finished with the previous customer. I was happy to not be pressured, but would have appreciated having the slabs marked with the letter grades so that I knew what I was looking at. When Walid returned to me, my four of my preferences were not in the class that I was to look. We eliminated those and then proceeded to the others to eliminate and make a decision. There were multiple interruptions for phone calls and other customers. They have a huge selection of many different stone slabs, and it would be more helpful if they were marked with the type of stone and class.

+ -1 moreI looked at wholesalers on both sides of Tampa and it was very discouraging to the point that I was about to look for another material for my counter tops. I decided on a last trip to Stone Wholesalers in Largo at SK Stone. Walid gave me the answers to the questions that no one else would answer for me. He had a large selection of stone and unlike so many of the others he made it easy for me to do business with them. If you are looking for granite be sure to stop in and see Walid. He will save you a lot of frustration.
Description of Work: They sold the slab of granite to my fabricator.

+ -1 moreMade several trips to look at different granite. The owner helped us personally by having us bring in cabinet door and tile sample and gave tips on choosing certain granites while helping us stay on budget. Warehouse was immaculate. We were never rushed and got professional input that we needed. We had gone several places and SK Stones had the best selection at the best prices and they were by far the most helpful. When shopping for granite, take their advice by taking samples of your cabinets, flooring, etc. with you. It saved us from making a mistake. Great company. They really care about their customers.
