ROYAL RUG & TILE CARPET ONE

Miranda was almost impossible to deal with from the start. Project took twice as long as promised. While the sub-contractor installers did a good job, dealing with Royal Rug was a Royal Pain... found out Miranda was charged with passing bad checks on 7/1/2011 according to the Pinellas County Sherriff's Office... Guess Karma is at work on this one.

They processed my order and when I decided it was something I didn't want to undertake, they wouldn't refund my money. I then agreed to have the carpet installed. They set up 3 appointments and missed every one with out a call. They needed to move some boxes around to install the carpet and I informed them of this. When they finally sent a worker out, he saw the boxes and refused the lay the carpet. I then decided to completely cancel the work and they refused to refund my money.

I would definitely not recommend them. They presented something in the showroom then installed the lower-grade product that had no warrantee. They did not compensate me or provide a warrantee. I paid for a high-grade wood and I got the base model.

1. Purchase made - had to pay 50% up front - then could not get anyone to call me back for scheduling installation. I called every week for 2 months with no real answer about installation except for "we are still trying to get all the carpet delivered to the store". 2. Finally on Jan 24th - the installers arrived. It took 2 men three days, they made a mess, did not do a good job, and basically told me the company was going out of business, they were contractors and the only ones left doing jobs. 3. My carpet has not held up well, I am not even sure it is the same one I picked out. 4. My calls to the store manager have not been returned. 5. My surprise is that they are still advertising in The Home Mag - I truly hopes no one else gets fooled. Apparently, they have consolidated to the one store in Largo.

The only thing "royal" about this company is the "royal" pain it gave me. I needed new carpet by 9/3/07 because out-of-town guests were due. I bought slightly over-priced carpet on 8/16/07 because the "owner" promised that the manufacturer had it in stock, they could get it in just a few days and meet my installation date. The first hint of trouble was a call on 8/23/07 advising that the carpet had been ordered and they would call back when it got in to set an install date. Despite my furious protests, I was told that the carpet could not be installed until 9/5/07, then 9/7/07, then 9/10/07. After being promised first install on 9/10, I was told all day that they were on the way, but they didn't show until 3 pm. The installers then gouged my wooden door frame and scraped the wall moving furniture. To ice this all-around "royally" painful experience, after they left I found a huge oil spot on my drive where they had parked their truck! Crown Royal as the worst!!!

They are wonderful. They have competitive prices and their installation is perfect.

They are a nice and friendly organization until they get your money and then they are not interested in helping you. After calling to tell them this was not rectified tile, they did not care. So much for Randy Geffon telling all of TV land on his hokey commercials that he guarantees that you will be happy with your flooring or they will replace it for free. Sure you will, Randy.

Miranda was attentive to us until we signed our contract. We found out we were overcharged many thousands of dollars and we immediately wrote her an email (she was out of town). She called us and told us she must have made a math mistake and she would take care of it when she got back. We signed 3 contracts for 3 separate orders and each of them were priced thousands higher than they should have been. Was she hoping we wouldn't notice?? We will never know. Bottom line is that we waited 6 weeks and she NEVER got around to fixing the prices. If it was just a math mistake, how long could it take to fix the mistake. I spent countless hours cruising tile and carpet stores which I should have done before I signed a contract and I found that Royal Rug is VERY expensive. They finally did correct the invoices and of course claimed that they never tried to cheat us, Miranda cried, how touching. Bottom line is Royal Rug is overpriced and not customer friendly, once they have your money.

Excellent work. My construction superintendent was very impressed with the quality of the job. Salesperson was very good, found excellent grade carpet on sale. Only glitch was that a care kit/ cleaning kit was promised but never delivered. Have lived with the carpet for several months and it still looks great.

The girl in charge of scheduling installations lied and told me they didn't do installations on Saturday. It's been very frustrating dealing with them up to this point. I'm hoping the sales manager will resolve my problem and that I can recommend this company again. So far the communication with this company has been lacking. The carpet was eventually installed in a competent manner.

VERY HELPFUL; ON TIME; GOOD PRODUCT; GOOD INSTALLATION; FAIR PRICE. THEY INITIALLY OFFERED ME THEIR ''SALE ITEM'', WHICH WAS FINE, BUT I WANTED A HIGHER QUALITY PRODUCT. I HAD TO INITIATE THE MOVE TO HIGHER QUALITY, MORE EXPENSIVE PRODUCTS. THAT WAS OK. THERE WAS NO HARD SELLING TECHNIQUES AND WHEN IT WAS DONE, THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE.

EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE AND COMMITTMENT TO GET THE JOB DONE RIGHT AND TO OUR SATISFACTION. I USUALLY DON'T WRITE LETTERS TO COMPANIES TO COMMEND THEM ON THEIR SERVICE, BUT I WROTE ONE TO THE MANAGEMENT OF THIS STORE. THEY WERE EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND HELPFUL IN EVERY STEP OF OUR TRANSACTION: FROM THE INITIAL SALES CONTACT, PICKING OUT THE RIGHT CARPET, PAD, AND TILE FOR OUR NEEDS, TO AFTER THE SALE SUPPORT AND SERVICE. OUR CARPETTING SHOULD LAST MANY YEARS, BUT IF WE EVER DECIDE TO REPLACE IT WE WILL BE GOING BACK TO ROYAL RUG AND TILE.
