RANDY'S STUMP REMOVAL INC

Randy's patience was appreciated as the weather delayed us for a couple of days. I cut down as far to ground level the stumps..it lowers the price and less clean up. Randy arrived on time and did a quick survey and estimate. This was about the seventh time I have used this company. What I like to do is offer to do the clean up(use a ho to pull the material back in to the hole will usually get it done) so I can get more stumps ground up for the best pricing. The stump grinder machine makes any stump short work. Randy's energy and detail to the job is great.

Very prompt and efficient. Cleaned everything as if he was never here. He ground down the stump and the roots a good 4-6 inches. Pretty amazing to watch. I would definitely recommend his services.

Randy was recommended by AK Tree service owner Chris on 8/24. Randy contacted me immediately and we set a date for the following Monday (8/27). With Isaac approaching, Randy called on (8/25) and asked if he could come then. Within a half hour he was taking care of the massive stumps left by the cherry laurel trees. He was professional and courteous and cleaned up scattered debris.

He ground one stump. He did it for what he quoted. He cleaned up afterward. He showed up when he said he would. Everything went well.

Absolutely the best! We called for an estimate on removing several very large tree stumps, some of which were in locations that we knew would be difficult to get to. Frankly, having no stump removal experiences before, we were a bit apprehensive and mystified about the whole procedure. Called Randy and left a message requesting an estimate. The call was returned promptly and Randy was at our home that very afternoon to give us a quote. He took time to explain the procedures, possible approaches, and what to expect, then presented us with an estimate for the work that was far lower that we anticipated. He came exactly at the time agreed upon, introduced us to his crew, and before we knew it they were finished! They graded and cleaned up the areas, and the whole process was surprisingly stress free. Randy even worked with our neighbors to keep them happy. We found Randy and his team to be very professional, and basically very nice folks. Would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat. I emailed Randy through his website over the weekend. He called me first thing Monday morning, was there by noon and was done grinding out our maple tree stump within probably 20 minutes. He was professional and considerate, calling to let me know when he was delayed yet still arriving in time to complete the job before I needed to leave. I also liked that he gave me three options for grinding out the stump, did not pressure me to choose the most expensive option and honored the Angie's List coupon. He left the area pristine. You couldn't even tell there had been a tree there! Great experience!

I called Randy and explained the job I wanted done. He was able to come out the next day and remove the stumps. He gave a discount for cash, so I took advantage of that.

Randy removed a small oak tree stump from my front yard & also gave me a discount for referring my neighbor to him. He was able to remove stumps from both of our yards on the same day. Called yesterday to arrange service and Randy showed up right on time at 9:15 this morning. After we discussed all the places that I wanted pruned (and he marked them with neon orange spray), he gave me a quote and I told him to go ahead. He did the job within 30 minutes and cleaned up nicely afterwards. I was extremely pleased with the work. My only advice: for Randy ... and homeowners: You may want to discuss price before he spray paints all the roots. If we had not agreed on the price, I'd have an entire yard full of neon orange spots!

Randy arrived promptly the next day after our call - and, in less than a half-hour, that root system was history!

Everything went well. Randy was punctual, cleaned up after himself, and did an excellent job of removing the stump.

I had a 5-foot tall (2-foot diameter) palm stump on my property line that would interfere with a new fence I was having installed. I called Randy based on Angie's List referrals - he came out that afternoon. He cut the stump in 3-pieces and ground the stump well below ground level. I would have preferred he take the trunk with him, but I felt his service was fair and price reasonable. Nice guy - no complaints. Would definitely use him again if the need arises.

We called Randy to have him come look at the stump situation & give us an estimate. We set the appointment, he called in advance to re-confirm the appointment & arrived promptly (actually got to the house before we did!). Randy looked everything over, gave us a price-which we felt was very reasonable-and got right to work. He was done in probably 45 minutes and there was absolutely no trace of the stumps...just a level patch of dirt ready for us to throw some grass seed on. We could not be happier with the experience; we would definitely use Randy's services again if needed and would recommend him highly.

Randy was scheduled to do the stump grinding/removal and showed up promptly. He did a super job on the stump in the back yard and the front. He manuevered around both the front and back with expertise, causing no harm to anything. He was very focused and efficient. Price was exactly as quoted in estimate. Randy was both professional and personable and I would absolutely be happy to use his services in the future and recommend him to others.

Called and left a message, and Randy returned our call the same day. He gave us a price over the phone that we agreed to, and he was available to come the next day. We actually had more stumps to be removed than the number we had given him over the phone, so the price did increase a little bit over what we were quoted. We had no problem with the increase for the additional work. He worked quickly, and did a careful job working around a few obstacles, such as our irrigation system and pump which one of the larger stumps was right next to. He left behind a bit of debris for us to clean up in a couple spots, but it wasn't a big deal. We wouldn't hesitate to hire Randy again!

It was about 42 inches across. It had huge roots. He worked alone. He took out the stump and the roots. He level the stump. The roots cause a lot of unevenness and he level the whole area. Then took a blower and removed all the debris from the yard. It looked newly landscaped when he done. He was polite, couteous and he takes pride in his work. We would certainly use him again.

We had called for an estimate about a month prior to using him. He quoted us 130.00. When I asked about a discount for Angie's list he said he couldn't give us that discount because he didn't actually come out and see the job to be done, that he had just given us a quote.He said that he could get here and the job was way too big for the price. We really didn't like that too much, but because he was rated so high we decided to use him. He came out and said he wasn't going to pull the stump out, he was going to grind it down instead. He did this with a machine. We couldn't tell right away if he had done enough to clear the way for the fence, but when the installer came, he had a terrible time using his ax trying to chop up the roots so he could install the fence. It left areas so high that they had to be cleared before we could do anything with the fence. He was very professional and worked fast. He responded the same day he was called and even came out that same day to do the job before heading home for the day. We just don't feel that the work that we had needed was done sufficiently for the fence installation.The roots are still down in the ground, but the new fence has already been installed now.

Even though there was poor access to the site, he efficiently and thoroughly ground the roots of the bamboo so that they will not return.

I called Randy on Tuesday afternoon and left a message on his phone mail. Within 5 minutes he returned the call. I explained the work I needed to have done. Randy explained the options and fees and gave me a quote over the phone. I asked about the 10% discount from Angie's List and he said he would honor it. We came to an agreement and set up having the work done on Wednesday the following day between noon and 3PM. Randy called me up on Wednesday around 1:15 PM and said he would be at my house in 20 minutes. He was right on time and I showed him the stump and also where we wanted the hole dug for the new tree. As he was grinding the stump he ran into an irrigation line. He stopped and showed me the line. We agreed that it had to come out because it was in the way of where we wanted to plant the new tree. Randy finished the job and left a hole for the new tree just as he shows in photos on his website. Luckily the irrigation line was an old unused one and we did not have to do anything with it. Randy was very cordial both over the phone and when he came to the house. It's no wonder he received an Angie's List Super Service award in 2008.

Randy has a really cool little machine that will fit through a gate to get into the back yard and grind up pretty much any size stump. This was a medium size stump. Well worth the price charged.
