R-VALUE INSULATION

Description of Work: We've used R-Value Insulation. They insulated the house and the garage.

Description of Work: First, I called George and asked an estimate to add insulation to our townhouse. He was able to give me the estimate over the phone. Having received 4 estimates, I selected R-Value Insulation because of their cost and their reviews and letters of recommendation. We made an appointment date, and they were there 10 minutes early. George and his son added insulation raising the R-value to R41. They then cleaned up and left the attic entry way and floors cleaner than when they arrived.

Description of Work: blew insulation in attic to raise level to 30 R as promised. Cleaned up, left no mess and house appears warmer. They were efficient and I believe the cost was reasonable.

Description of Work: I called for an estimate as the owner doesn't come on site to evaluate.In fact we had many conversations.He was most convincing on the phone. He came to my house this a.m. and didn't have a high enough extension ladder. While we had many conversations about the date to do the insulation and he was as charming and convincing as could be, he turned out to be a jeckyl-hyde and refused to get a ladder and told me he was only making $90.00 on the job and he had to come all this way and it wasn't worth it. He said he couldn't believe we were having this conversation and said he wasn't doing the job! My neighbors brought down an extension ladder right after he left our house too! I am in sales and sometimes I don't make money on a job, but no job is too small when I agree to do it and it ALWAYS leads to something positive like a referral, for instance. Instead this person, bragged about his Angie's List rating on the phone and yet showed up with no signs on his vehicle or trailer nor any name on his shirt or hat to indicate what his company was. Description of Work: Installed insulation to R-33 in the attic.

Description of Work: I have an 1150 square foot ranch house. Upgraded 40 year old R-4 insulation. Existing was Owens Corning blown-in insulation of 3" depth. George added blown-in R-30 cellulose to a total of R-34.

Description of Work: After contacting Progress Energy and obtaining their list of authorized insulation rebate vendors I called the owner of R-Value Installation, George Edwards and he gave me a great price on adding insulation to an area of 2500 sq. ft. from R-15 to R-34. He and his son arrived on time and installed the blown in insulation within two hours.

Description of Work: I recently replaced the drywall cieling in my two car enclosed garage. The original drywall strted coming down. I thought it was due to the heat and planned on insulating the garage. I called and spoke with George and he gave me a very good price. Then, he surprised me by asking why I was interested in insulating the garage. I told him and he then educated me on the subject. Short story, you really don't want to insulate a garage if you park cars or mortorcycles in it. Different story if you have area air conditioning. Bottom line, George could have installed the insulation and I would have never know. I will recommend George to anyone I ever hear needing insulation work. This kind of integrity is very rare.

Description of Work: This is one of the providers recommended by Progress Energy and was also highly rated by Angie's lost, so I used him. The proprietor George Edwards and his son were totally professional and personable. They arrived precisely on time and performed the job of blowing insulation into my attic in a timely manner. They actually had to add two more bags of cellulose than they had estimated and did that at no additional cost. They cleaned any residue of insulation that escaped into my garage so that, when they left, my garage was cleaner than it was before they came. They applied the Progress Energy rebate prior to charging me so that I did not have any additional work to do.
