The repairman failed to appear on the scheduled date and no call was made to us to advise he would not show. We waited all day for him to show. When we contacted Piper in the mid-afternoon, Piper vaguely responded that he had "a family matter" so could not come. On the rescheduled date (a Friday), the single worker finished the job but left a check valve leaking. It was not discovered by us until after business hours so we could not call them back that day. On Monday morning Piper was called back to fix the check valve leak they created. Piper then tried to charge us an additional $218 to fix the leak they created, even charging for 2 men to do the work when only one was needed. When we challenged the bill, Piper tried to enforce the charges claiming they are not responsible for problems their workers create. They finally relented and withdrew the charges grudgingly and stated they would not do the same in the future.
Description of Work: Piper services fire sprinkler systems. Piper was hired to repair certain valves in the building's system.
