Loved their selection and very high touch help with shopping and follow-ups when new shipments were about to come in. Got an amazing granite with mix of true white, cream, and chocolate which was bright and amazing with our white (above) and chocolate (below) cabinets. We found nothing like this with true whites and creams elsewhere and she let view the selection before the ship came in so we had our name on the slabs before they reached shore.

I have protested my credit card and they are fighting it saying that the fabricator has faulty equipment. Why would their driver put the clamp on if it was bad and then come again the next day and deliver 2 more slabs for a different customer. This of course has nothing to do with the fact that they sent me defective slabs that I had not selected.
Description of Work: We selected slabs 22 and 23 of Mystery White Marble. We paid for the slabs ourselves by phone on Friday and they delivered the slabs on Monday to our fabricator who is highly recommended and Mont Krest's driver put the clamp on wrong and dropped the slab. The other slab they sent had cracks and the fabricator asked for them to take it back but they refused. When the fabricator told me the slabs were not numbered 22 and 23 (I had pictures where they were numbered) we drove to the warehouse to see for ourselves. The slabs were not even close to being what we purchased. They had bad rust stains and cracks through them. One had the number 6 on it. They refuse to take them back or take any responsibility. These people are crooks. I have pictures of what I purchased and what they delivered.

Response from Mont Krest
Thank you for your review. There is not much that can be done in this member’s case. She found the lowest price fabricator in town, convinced them to allow her to buy material directly. During unloading process the installer’s equipment failed. Her request to pick up broken and now sun damaged material is unreasonable. We did reach out to her within days after incident and offered assistance. We have been in business for over 20 years, what we carry, deliver, and how we service our customer is always 1st class. I would encourage all customers that remodel, please use a licensed contractors and/or fabricator to avoid problems like these.

Mont Krest has beautiful granite to choose from. The problem is you might not receive the slab you purchase. We picked 2 slabs of Typhoon Granite slabs 41 & 42. Slab 42 was the main slab due to color and pattern. It was the slab we chose from looking at granite at over 4 suppliers. When the granite showed up at the fabricator it was slab 40 & 41. I had the order in hand that Mont Krest filled out showing 41 & 42. We were caught is the middle of a switch. They gave our slab to someone else and when confronted they said well mistakes happen and they can't really mark a slab as sold. Even after coming back to view the granite slabs for paint match up they assured us there was no problem our slabs were there and they were selling around them. Bottom line if you choose to buy a slab of granite, better mark it on the sides. What's the point of picking out your granite if the supplier is just going to give you what they want. If they offered some type of restitution I would say that is more fair, they just shrugged their shoulders like no big deal. They are very nice people just be sure you mark your slab..wish I had.

Response from Mont Krest
We thank you for the feedback and would like to offer some clarification. We at Mont Krest are strictly wholesale, we are open to the public for product selection, but only sell though the trade(fabricators, contractors..etc). We have a very large selection of material that is organized in a gallery-like setting. Since we don't take payments from the public, the fabricator/contractor is responsible for placing the order for any selected material to be delivered within a set amount of time. [member name removed] selected his material 3 months prior to Mont Krest recieving the order for delivery. We do our best to inform all customers of our hold policy, and explain to them to have material delivered in a timely fashion. My advise to all customers visiting any wholesale yard, is to review hold policies and make sure contractor places order for delivery once product is selected. To clafify on the review, Mont krest does not take deposits from the public, the $8000 mentioned went to a contractor, who then should have placed the order for delivery 3 months ago. If a customer is unsatisfied with granite delivered, Mont Krest has no problem returning unfabricated material. We understand Mr. Johnson's frustration and appologize for any confusion between all parties involved. We thank you for the review.
