Description of Work: Visit was to properly identify and label all circuits in the house with the corresponding circuit breaker. The employee of Mr. Sparky simply copied |onto a piece of paper what was written on the door of the electrical panel. |No verification of what each circuit breaker controlled. He then tried to sell me additional services.

Dear Client, I am sorry that we made you feel like we were just trying to sell you something. The panel labeling and whole home electrical system deal that you purchased is exactly that. If your panel is already labeled, we simply check to make sure that it is accurate then do our home electrical system inspection. The reason that we offered this deal is because of the amount of electrical panels that we see that have no labeling and the amount of unsafe situations that we find in our client's homes on a regular basis. It went very well.
Description of Work: They were upfront, and honest. They replaced two circuit breakers. One that had blown earlier in the day, and one that was found to have been wired incorrectly. He gave me a few options, and I selected the one that worked best for me.

Description of Work: I had a fluorescent light problem which turned out to be a defective ballast which needed to be replaced. Cost of parts approx. $21. Labor was about 20 minutes (plus time to go to Home Depot for parts, allegedly) The repairman first tried to sell me a replacement fixture for $600, then charged me $250 for the work he did. I was able to recoup $100 by complaining to the manager about what I felt was an exorbitant charge for such a small job. He was very professional, and refunded the money because he felt his repairman had failed to explain fully what my options were and hadn't followed company protocol. I would consider using them again, but would want an estimate of the cost of the proposed repair and assurance that I would not be charged for the estimate if I did not agree to have the work done.

Description of Work: Replaced gfi damaged by a very close lightening strike then advised on whole house protection. I had him do it since it was something we had been meaning to do. I did not have a chance to research prices for the surge/lightening protection and think I ended up paying a premium

One of the main differences is the warranty that they place on their products. A second one is the fact that any warranty is only as good as the company behind it. Description of Work: The technician arrived on time. He was clean, professional and knowledgeable. Mister Sparky was contracted to replace the existing panel, rewire, add an attic fan, wire outside shed with 110 and 220, add outside electrical and more. The job was done on time and passed inspection without any problems. Both the inside and outside were cleaned as if they were never there when the job was completed. It was a massive job that was explained to us every step.

Description of Work: The electricians installed ceiling lights and outdoor receptacles attached to the house for outdoor electrical use, fixed some wiring problems and got out electric up to code, installed fire alarms, re-do of all electrical outlets in house including new touch switches (not toggle switch). This is an old house that's being fixed up so a lot of the outlets were in need of new wiring. They were very good and professional and got everything done in one day.
