Mister Sparky of Clearwater

Waited 9am till 5:30pm for them. I wanted to lights done. They wanted $1,411 to install them. I could not afford that. They put up one, $511. For labor, should of said no. But after waiting all day I did one.

The service went alright, i was satisfied with the work that they've done.

Very prompt and professional. I was given the option to pay one amount or a different amount for certain length of time windows for tech to come out, I had to specifically ask the question "do you not do free estimates?" Rep said they do, but they just wouldn't be able to narrow down to a shorter window of time, just between 9 and 6 on a certain day. I researched the cost of transfer switches and installation and what I found out there was around $700. I was quoted about $600 more than I was expecting but wanted the job done and was tired of dealing with other electricians that weren't responsive. When I got the invoice, I found that the transfer switch and install were actually around $700, but it was the running of wiring and installation of outlet that bumped the cost up $600.

Friendly, professional service and great work. Will hire again for future projects.

Kevin was awesome, he arrived on time was very professional gave me a full quote I agreed with the price and the job was completed that same day. Amazingly well. This company is professional, timely, prompt and all of the office staff and technicians were extremely polite and had a great work ethic. I was very impressed.

I literally phoned and asked to setup an appointment to meet someone at a building I own that needs some electrical work. (THAT is EXACTLY what I said to the woman.) She placed me on hold, and then came back and said, "That's not in our scope of work." WHAT is not in your 'scope of work?!?!' I never told you what I needed!!!! I literally need someone with a scissor-lift or boom to come out and CHANGE LIGHTBULBS in a warehouse and around the outside perimeter of a property! A freaking HANDYMAN could do this! THIS COMPANY IF A JOKE! Don't waste your time, friends! These people don't WANT to work!

Ryan was one of the best service technicians I have ever had in my house, period! I can’t say enough how very knowledgeable and professional he was as he walked me through the problems I had and the fixes for each. He also gave me options of what I can have done. The price was a bit higher than I expected, but it was competitive compared to the national average for the job and now I have piece of mind regarding the safety of my electrical system I also received same day service. I have been completely satisfied from setting up the appointment with Shelly, until the time Ryan left. Awesome experience.

Needed Saturday work because of my work/travel schedule. Called Mr. Sparky after checking Angie's List. I called to make an appointment for the weekend... the woman who answered the phone was very polite and helpful. She went over the basics of their service and also explained the "low cost" $60 trip fee as if using the phase "low cost" before the dollar amount made this any more palatable like a.k.a. resort fees. I still smile when i think of her saying it... clearly a canned line... anyway...The tech was very professional, friendly,courteous and prompt... showed up on time as advertised. No issues there or the work done... Needed service on 2 ceiling light ballast and a ceiling fan installed. Quoted me a price of approximately $1000 for the work. I was kind of stuck as we had already agreed to trip charge and my work schedule so I agreed. Work took approximately an hour and a half to complete of which we had purchased the ceiling fan before hand. Part $ were minimal for the ballast job of this total amount. This makes the hourly rate even being generous... $400-500 an hour which is preposterous. I called around for different estimates afterward and the price should have been about a quarter of the total for this work. My doctor could have stopped by to complete this job and his hourly rate would have been cheaper. The company makes a big deal in their rebuttals to pricing complaints of having drug tested and licensed techs... Frankly, I expect nothing less and have not had a problem with drug crazed anyone in all my years here. It hardly justifies the outrageous costs. I fully agreed to the work beforehand and knew the cost shockingly enuft. I needed the work done and sacrificed price for a convenience. Let me be clear, I don't believe I was taken advantage of because of my situation.... looking at the reviews I believe this to just be their regular pricing. Lesson learned... expensive at that. I will NOT ever use them again. Buyers remorse :( Check around before hand.

It's not every day that I can happily say that a service provider went above and beyond, but that's not the case when it comes to Mister Sparky Electric. From my initial contact with Alisha and during my initial meeting with James, the Mister Sparky Electrician, everything was excellent. Alisha called me an hour before my appointment to give me a time when James would be at my residence. James was on time, extremely professional, and took the time to explain exactly what he would do in regards to installing my outdoor lighting fixtures. James even stayed an extra 30-minutes after my installation to confirm that the lighting units I purchased were performing as needed. I will definetly be calling Mister Sparky Electric for my upcoming outdoor lighting installation needs.

Power wouldn't get to the cooktop and oven. Technician came, checked power at the breaker and said a new piece need replacement in the breaker. Wanted about $260 for this probably a 10-15 min work and a $10-15 breaker switch. I got another company and they proved that my cooktop is causing the switch to bounce and the switch is not the problem. They were going to charge a half for the switch until the saw it was the wrong problem,

The receptionist was very friendly and professional, and gave me a same-day time window. Thirty minutes before arrival, I was notified, and the driver was on time. The service agent was friendly, professional, and straightforward. It turns out my problem was easily remedied, and he took the time to go through my entire house's system without tryng to upsell me. Overall I was very satisfied and will definitely use Mr. Sparky again (although I hope I don't have to!).

They were very professional and punctual, but I was dissatisfied with the high bid price that they gave me, which out of 4 different contractors they were over $2000 higher than my highest estimate of $3000.

All work was done swiftly and correctly.

Went well, my circuit breakers were totally mislabeled after years of remodels and new equipment so it is good that was done. I do feel the primary intent is to upsell to more expensive work, I expect nothing less from companies these days but it does always seem like a let down. They have done great work in the past without overreaching, now I’m not sure about continuing a relationship with them.

I had a track light fixture replaced in the kitchen. It was a bit complicated and detailed. They did an excellent job including putting down a drop clothe. They were very neat, professional and did a great job.

Perfect- timely and professional with a very reasonable price.

Dan R. was fantastic. He installed two replacement ceiling fans and did an excellent job. Dan checked everything for safety, explained the entire process, and went over the pricing in detail. He did a great job and was professional and efficient. We will ask for him by name the next time we use Mister Sparky!

I cannot speak highly enough about the work done by Chas today. He was patient with my indecisiveness for a fixture placement, taking time to make sure I was seeing what all of my options were. He left virtually no mess even though he had to cut drywall. And he was incredibly pleasant. I would not hesitate to contact Mr. Sparky again and request that Chas be my technician.

He looked at the panel right away and tried to sell me $15,000.00 to rewire house. I said no. Then he came down to $3,500.00 to put new plugs in that we're never checked and fix outside wire with no promise of it fixing the problem. No again. Plugs we're fairly new and are not that expensive to replace. I had someone else fix it. I feel that they never really tried to find the problem as he never checked anything but the breaker panel and then started the sales pitch.

The installer showed up later in the evening and installed two bathroom light fixtures after dark while I shined a light on him the best way possible . My gut instinct was to send him away but my better half wanted the job done that day . The bathroom fixtures ended up being installed off location and not level. It was a good thing that he installed the outdoor fixture at night , because the photocell that controlled the light was aimed at the ground thus causing the light to turn on and off repeatedly . The job was grossly overpriced at approximately $275.00/hr for labor only. we supplied the fixtures . I would think that $150.00/hr would have been a fair price . A second installer reinstalled the light fixtures the best way that he could and the final results were satisfactory .

I was absolutely taken advantage of. I don't know if it is because I am a girl or because I didn't know what it should cost. I had another electrician come out and he was so upset at how much I was charged. $9,000 for less than a days work. I am so upset that they did this. The electrician was very nice but still didn't complete everything he was supposed to do. I am so disappointed in your company.
