He was very professional, timely, and I was very pleased with the work that was completed.

Under the guise of 4 options, the representative presented written quotes for 4 services that did not - remotely - match what I requested on the phone, when making the appointment ...or what I requested, when the representative first got in the door. In fact, the quotes that did mention the can lights requested, showed installation of 4 can lights. The representative explained that, given the structural constraints, he could only install 3 can lights. (I had no issue with 3, instead of 4; I did find it a waste of my time to go through the details of clock-building for 4, not 3, can lights.) I requested, and received, an option 5 for the 3 can lights that he was able to install. First, my impression of this vendor is based primarily on the extreme sales tactics. At the end of my patience, during a very hard sell for me to purchase 10 times more services (in value) than requested, I very nearly kicked him out. Literally. Despite the (specifically requested) written quote for the project I wanted done, all along, being at least *twice* the value - of what I estimate would be "market" price - this was the time carved out of my very busy schedule. The cost of "time" to select a new supplier and start all over again, was more than the excess price. When I phoned for the appointment, I asked - twice - whether 4 can lights would be available with the electrician, when he arrived. I was assured, both times, that they would. He brought 1, had to leave the work-site, and came back with two more. This did not salve my negative impression from the high-pressure sales tactics. Although I have no issue, at present, with the lights - I've only had them for one week. I am not an electrician, and cannot assess the quality of the job. He did clean up, afterward. He was polite. I simply lack confidence in his ability, given the way this project started. I would never recommend this company to anyone. ...No clue how the excellent ratings got onto this List.

David was in time and prepared. We went over the project, discussed options and David presented various price options. We agreed on a price and he went to work. After he completed the work he showed me what was done and provided me final paperwork. It was one of the best experiences I've had having someone come in to my home to repair or install something. I will always call Mr. Sparky first for any electrical needs.

Scottie and Chas were able to quickly identify the the issue was a lost leg from Duke Energy. While they were at the house they also performed a complimentary safety check and carefully inspected and tightened up the panel. They were polite, respectful and most importantly approachable! They answered all my questions and they wrote detailed notes and recommendations so I could review them later with my husband. I also greatly appreciated that they put booties over their shoes when they entered the house.

The work was done correctly, the electricians were on time, efficient, friendly and put covers over their shoes so as not to track in dirt. We needed a plug to be grounded in the kitchen in order for our house to pass insurance inspection. They were able to troubleshoot and find why the ground was not functioning and repair that receptacle. They were able to stabilize one receptacle that was loose. There was also a 3-prong receptacle in an ungrounded room, so they replaced it with a 2-prong receptacle (Also an insurance requirement). I will say that I we thought $300 was a bit high for 1.5 hours of work, however we were glad for the their expertise and we had to have a licensed individual complete the work so we were thankful they could get it done and write up a report the insurance would accept. They also did a home inspection while they were here to check the electrical panel and the electrical work around the house. As a side note - we also asked for a quote for them to switch the beige outlets to white (simply for cosmetic purposes) and he quoted it at $3200+ (that's after the Angie's List 10% discount)! Now, this house has a LOT of outlets - maybe 60, but I know that switching an outlet to white takes 10 minutes or less and is fairly easy, even for a non-professional, so I'm not real sure how $3200 is a fair price for that particular task! We will NOT be having them do that cosmetic job for us.

They came out within hours after we called. Great customer service. Our technician took the time to diagnose the problem and offered us a few options to fix it. We chose to replace the panel entirely rather than refurbish as we wanted to avoid future problems. They stayed until 11pm to finish the job. Again, great customer service.

Gregg was great. He was on-time. He wore booties before entering the house. He was very thorough, & explained what needed to get done, & told me the cost before he started. I will use him again!

The service technician Ryan was excellent. He explained everything every step of the way. The panel box looked to be the original from when the house was built in 1974. It was in need of repair as it did not look safe to us. They did an excellent job of re-wiring and labeling everything. We feel much better knowing this should last for many years to come. I did think the price was high which is why I rated it low in that category. The assistant there that day broke one of the sprinkler lines. We called them and they sent someone out right away to repair it. Overall they seemed very trust worthy and Ryan is an excellent representative of their company. I would use them again but perhaps get different price quotes first.

Installer was fantastic and helpful. Unfortunately I went to the Angie's list site to give a favorable review and saw that I was charged 942. for a surge protector that they were offering a special for 399. When I got a response from the company it was to tell me that I purchased a different surge protector...An "ultra" One that would cover 75,000 dollars worth of damage instead of the 25,000 dollars damage warranty with the 399. surge that was being advertised. I felt stupid because realistically who has 75000 worth of electrical appliances in their home? The workmen did a great job from what we can see so far and I'm happy with the work. I just choke a bit at the "Ultra 75,000 dollar plan". I also did a "rejuvenation of the electrical panel" only to find out I was completely hosed on this as well. 1500 dollars and basically none of it needed to be done. I was so worried about being safety cautious that I believed the installer. I guess I'm the stupid one. They did the up sell and succeeded. I would caution "buyers beware, be a better listener than I was, or you'll have an amazingly expensive lot of electrical work done that you may or may not have needed". Anyway it's my fault. I still don't feel very good about it, but I'm hoping to learn from my mistakes. Guess I'll work an extra job to pay for the extra money I wasted!

Called 6/22/2015 and actually spoke to a person. I gave information of what I thought needed to be done based on an inspection done at my home. I do not remember her name but she was extremely helpful and waived the $59 service charge. Appointment was made for next day 6-23 between 12&3 PM was also advised would get a call when tech was on his way. Technician Henry Valera arrived promptly and proceeded to examen the problem, explain what he saw was wrong and showed me as well. He called his boss to negotiate better price for me and his boss did work with me on the charge. I asked question and he was very patient with me, explaining in details what he was doing as he went along. Henry was at my home until almost 9 PM and even cleaned up when he was finished. The price was great considering the amount of work done, and it helped that I am a Angie's list member. I am so impressed with the quality of work done by Henry of Mister Sparkey and with the telephone personnel as well. I will certainly recommend them to my friends and neighbors who may need electrical services. I am one satisfied customer.

I had called two electrical companies to do the installation, but both required a long wait for service. Then I called Mister Sparky, and the representative came within a couple of days. He was professional and efficient. I'd gladly call this company again for electrical work

The service man came out and introduced himself. He explained what he would do and since I work at home on my computer told me he would give me a warning before turning off the electricity in my office. Very pleased with the work and the Electrician sent to do the work. He answered all of our questions and explained solutions to some issues we had had.

They arrived on time, was very polite and pleasant. He was clean and put covers on shoes. He was very knowledgeable. Took the old fan down, and installed new one on a 12 ft ceiling with an extension. Cleaned up after himself, and disposed of the old fan. Made sure everything worked and fit well. Had it installed in no time. Did an excellent job! Henry was my tech. he was great. He also did a free safety check for me.

They did find a safety inspection item that they corrected right away. It went well. Was satisfied with the work. The staff was very professional. They left the area clean. They arrived on time but it did take longer than they expected and completed it in one trip.

They replaced all the breakers and labeled the panel in blue hand written ink. The ink would not last on an outside panel. The other problem was lack of detail. We had areas of the house that were not listed. I went around our house and my wife confirmed which breaker secured which area. I called to have the panel labeled with a label maker which was done. The result was a panel that is easy to read and more professional looking. My advise is have them use a lable maker on your panel. I was satisfied with the final result.

I really liked the technician, "Paul" and the apprentice that he brought along (Chaz?). They came out the same day after they'd had a cancelation in my area and they arrived promptly within the window provided. Paul even put on booties when he entered my home to discuss the scope of what I needed. I explained the issue with the overhead light, and then proceeded to walk him around to the downstairs man cave where I had another few items needing to be addressed. I explained that being in an older home, I have a number of minor electrical projects that I need handled. I'm confident that I have enough work to keep an electrician busy for at least a couple days. He informed me that unfortunately, his company prefers charging by the task, as opposed to charging an hourly rate plus parts. Therefore, for the hour or so worth of electrical repairs I was looking have done, Paul presented me with an estimate for over $800 bucks! Of course that was after he tried to sell me whole house surge protection, which was close to three grand. He wasn't even sure that my home didn't currently offer it, which it turns out it does. In any event, I don't blame Paul, who seems like a nice enough guy, and luckily, he told me that they offer a cheaper rate if the customer supplies the materials, so I gave him 4 receptacles and he swapped them out. All told, they spent about 15 minutes performing the work and collected $189. Mr. Sparky, I'm all about paying a professional electrician a premium for their efforts. I have all the respect in the world for the work you guy do! Heck, I'll pay a $100 bucks an hour if that's what it's worth, but charging clients a flat-rate per task when they have several tasks is how you gouge customers and lose their future business. It was ok. He was very friendly and professional. He did what he was supposed to do. He could have done a better job at lettering the panel. Scheduling was good and he was on time. The price was fair.

I purchased the special through Angie's list for $89 where Mr. Sparky's team came out and checked all the electrical and labeled the electric box from scratch. Scottie and Thomas came out this morning and were great - very professional, hard-working and incredibly nice. We just moved to the home and it has some quirky wiring (the home office is wired such that the dining room light switch has to be on, for example), so they had to spend more time than usual (at least that's my guess!) determining exactly what was what. They provided a detailed inspection including what was in good shape, what I should consider repairing/replacing, and what was a safety issue. They provided three options to make repairs - one that had everything including hard-wiring smoke detectors (I didn't notice we have only one smoke detector in the entire house), one that addressed safety concerns and some other needs (such as fixing the dining room/office issue), and one that was for the two significant safety issues. I had them complete the two safety issues - installing 2 pole 20 amp breaker to replace 30 amp 2 pole breaker and driving a ground rod at the pool pump and bond the pump. We can consider other options down the road. I would definitely use their services again!

Receptionist informed me company would call 30 minutes before scheduled appointment on 3/17/15 that was scheduled between 2-4pm. Employees were banging on the door at 12:45 pm with no call before hand. Also wanted access to inspect my electrical box as a courtesy. Advised would think further about using this service provider.

The technicians were very professional and explained everything. Provided a free safety inspection and advise on what is new in electrical codes since the purchase of our house over 10+ years ago. And they were both very friendly which is always a huge plus. We will definitely use them again.

Well I must say I was VERY impressed by Mr. Sparky, and Henry, the electrician they sent out. Henry took a very long time and was very patient with me. We went through every circuit breaker, making sure we figured out what appliances, switches, and outlets were fed by the breaker. And I have a LARGE breaker panel. There were a couple that are still a mystery, but honestly no other electrician has been able to figure those out either! Henry was very professional, and even found a mis-wired ceiling fixture that could be a hazard if not corrected. I would definitely use Mr. Sparky to do repairs, especially if Henry is my electrician. Thank you for offering the deal!

WOW...Don't know where to begin, First the Company called to confirm Electrician on the way 30 minutes out. When they arrived preparation was needed by us for placement of heavy chandeliers with hundreds of small crystals, which we were not prepared for. Mister Sparky then rescheduled, with no additional charge for second trip and worked meticulously longer then expected for the original agreed service fee to bring down safely two Shonbek chandeliers one weighing over 55 pounds. Very impressed with their service and the personnel who did the work with a smile. We have a new electrician!!!
