LARGO KITCHEN & BATH

I contracted Kevin Miller to perform a full kitchen remodel at my home since his price was pretty much on par with everyone else, yet he came up with the better design. Little did I know the living h*** I was about to get into with this man. As others have mentioned on this site already, this guy is a perpetual liar and made false promises from start (June 1, 2009) to finish (Sept 28, 2009) to get my kitchen complete. The contract due date of the end of July, 2009 came and went and never once did Kevin feel any sense of urgency or commitment after that point to hustle and get the work done. When work did get done it was either during the evenings or on weekends, eating up my personal time and schedule. His office assistant is useless and never knows the status of work nor when work would be done. Kevin Miller himself is highly unreachable, even after getting busy signals on his cell phone, he would simply refuse to answer my call. Whenever I could get ahold of Kevin he would always make promises of getting certain work done that he rarely made good on. I never knew when a contractor would be over, or Kevin himself, and I had given him a spare house key to come and go as he pleased. Communication became increasingly difficult as the weeks went by and as my patience and trust in this man and this company diminished. I would get one work item completed per week, such as mudding the walls or texturing them. Cabinets were installed haphazardly and what seemed randomly and Kevin had apparently taken wrong measurements as he did with another user on this site and had to reorder two of my cabinets in order for them to fit. Installation was of poor quality and there would be observable dings or staples sticking out of the wood in the cabinets that had to be patched over in the later stages. Kevin himself attempted to install crown molding but clearly does not know how to use a miter saw and this molding had to be fixed by another contractor later on. EVERY contractor who came over to my house had nothing but bad regards to say about Kevin, usually having to do with his inability to pay them for their services, and even his own brother-in-law (who was one of those contractors) had negative things to say about Kevin's worksmanship. All of these contractors said that working for Kevin horrible and that he's highly unprofessional in his behavior towards them. My advice to everyone considering this company is to avoid them like the plague. This is only a brief summary of the nightmare I had to live through without a kitchen for 4 months and having to deal with Kevin Miller and all his lies. If you contract with this man you will be frustrated, you will be angry, and you'll likely seek legal ramifications. I do not believe this guy can retain quality professional contractors simply because he doesn't seem to pay them industry standards and treats them very poorly. The message is quite clear to me that Kevin Miller and Largo Kitchen and Bath do not need to be in business.

The price was very reasonable for the amount of work that was performed. I was not happy with the ordering process. The gentleman in charge took the wrong measurements, so the cabinets and such that he ordered did not fit in correctly. He also seemed very incompetent to pay attention to detail and order cabinets that matched the rest of the kitchen.

Kevin was an excellent kitchen designer. I had three quotes and he was the only one that gave me a computer depiction of the kitchen before I even put any money down. That was a big plus for me. He came out with a beautiful design; that is his forte. I am very happy with the work.

THEY WERE UNPROFESSIONAL, AND WERE NOT ON TIME. NEVER PROMPT, AND I ALWAYS HAD TO CHASE THEM DOWN.

LARGO KITCHEN & BATH FAILED TO HONOR SPECIFIC COMMITMENTS TO ACCOMPLISH WORK FOR PAYMENT RECEIVED; FAILED TO DELIVER SERVICES AND GOODS THAT WERE PAID FOR; AND WAS TOTALLY UNRESPONSIVE TO MY PHONE CALLS. AT THIS TIME MY ATTORNEY HAS BEEN ABLE TO OBTAIN MY CONDO KEYS AND HAVE THE MARBLE TILE DELIVERED. I HAVE HIRED SOMEONE ELSE TO DO THE WORK, WHICH IS NOW COMPLETE. I PAID KEVIN MILLER OF LARGO KITCHEN & BATH APPROXIMATELY $2100 IN LABOR, WHICH HE DID NOT ACCOMPLISH ($1550 FOR INSTALLATION OF MARBLE TILE, $350 FOR INSTALLATION OF VANITY CABINETS AND $200 FOR PAINTING). I DO NOT WANT TO SEE HIM OR HAVE HIM IN MY HOUSE EVER AGAIN. THE ONLY RESOLUTION ACCEPTABLE AT THIS POINT IS THE RETURN OF $2100 TO ME. IN ADDITION, IT HAS COST ME $85 TO HAVE MY LOCKS CHANGED AND INITIALLY $100 TO RETAIN AN ATTORNEY FOR WHICH I SHOULD BE REIMBURSED.
